- No news is good news. = If you don’t have news, it means everything is probably fine.
- (Logically, it could also mean all news is bad news.)

- (More grammatical: He that questions nothing learns nothing.)

- (It could also mean it’s impossible to have nothing. There must always be something.)
- All that glitters is not gold. = Some things that look good aren’t really good. Some things look golden but aren’t gold.
- (Logically, this means something more like, “Everything that glitters is fake.”)

- Not all the students are here. = One or two people are missing.
- You get what you pay for. = If something is cheap or free, it’s probably low quality.
- Scrooge pays twice. / A miser pays twice. / A penny pincher pays twice.
- = When you buy things really cheaply, you may need to pay again for something better.
- If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is (too good to be true). = If it sounds too good to be true, it’s probably not true.
