[19:42] <Baxter_Haley> The St. Mary’s High school for Individual Tutelage was the premier catholic school in New New York. Consequently, it was the only place that Sub-Commander Clarke felt good enough for his little girl. Leon was less particular with his criteria. Mainly it came down to keeping the pilots together and making sure Nerv paid for the tuition. Both prerequisites met, the Jack and Anto found
[19:42] <Baxter_Haley> themselves having to walk to school two weeks following the fight with the first Angel.
[19:42] <Baxter_Haley> A green blazer with a white button up shirt, combined with a pair of slacks make up the male uniform for the school. On both the blazer and the shirt, the school emblem was embroidered on to the left breast above the heart. The female uniform was similar, consisting of a white blouse with a correspondingly placed emblem and a plaid skirt. The building itself looked to be a large, several
[19:42] <Baxter_Haley> story high building with an almost cathedral-like annex, situated north of Central park.
[19:43] <Baxter_Haley> Fenced in with large stone walls, a metal gate is open to reveal well trimmed grounds occupied by students. Strewn about in groups of four and five, these cliques appear imposing and formidable. Akin to bastions of old, the two new students get the feeling they’d be torn apart by jackals if they tried to unduly approach any of them.
[19:47] * Anto_Belac rustles about in the blazer uncomfortably, one hand firmly stuffed in his right pocket.
[19:47] <Jack_Murdock> Hands in his pockets he walks, paying no attention to anyone in particular as he moves towards the building. "What the hell Leon... What the hell..."
[19:49] <Anto_Belac> "So," he hurries and catches up to Jack. "So is this normal for a school? All this green and rocks and stuff?"
[19:51] <Jack_Murdock> "Hell if I know, I never went to public schools."
[19:52] <Anto_Belac> "Oh." He turns away slightly. "Sorry for askin'."
[19:55] <Baxter_Haley> As the two walk by, teens turn and stare. It is unlikely either have ever stuck out so much, obviously at odds with the atmosphere of the school.
[19:56] * Jack_Murdock continues to look dead ahead as he walks towards the building
[19:58] * Anto_Belac stares away from the children as they walk. "Why're they looking at us?"

[20:00] <Jack_Murdock> "Who cares, let's just get to class."
[20:01] <Baxter_Haley> Through a double doored opening, the pair enters into the main building. Lockers line the walls, with marble flooring polish to shine. Everyone thirty feet or so, they find a display case for trophies and other odd such stuff.
[20:02] <Anto_Belac> "This is the shiniest place I've ever been.
[20:02] <Anto_Belac> "
[20:06] * Jack_Murdock simply replies with a *Tch* sound as he looks down at the sheet Leon gave him. Once he sees where it is he must go, Jack heads in a general direction to try and find the room labeled 212.
[20:07] * Anto_Belac rushes after him, eyes darting all over the shiny halls, the shiny students, shiny trophies.
[20:09] <Baxter_Haley> It takes him a minute, but Jack soon realizes it must be on the second floor. The pair find themselves outside their designated homeroom, with other students loitering as they wait for the bell to ring. A heavy, wooden door with a small window to view in is open, with a small plaque reading, 'Mr. Rowark.'
[20:10] * Jack_Murdock makes his way inside and finds a window seat if it's available
[20:10] * Anto_Belac shifts uncomfortably in the blazer and slides behind Jack as if to hide from those inside.

[20:11] <Baxter_Haley> Inside, twenty seats arranged in rows of four are set in the room, with students crouding around a couple. There, they find Tania talking animatedly with a few other girls, one talking just as excitedly with their fellow pilot.
[20:12] * Jack_Murdock doesn't look over to her as he goes for his seat
[20:13] <Tania_Clarke> "...and it was huuuuuge" she says while spreading her arms wide.
[20:13] * Firespitter has quit (Ping timeout: 240 seconds)
[20:13] * Anto_Belac inhales and practically runs to his seat. He cowers down, trying all possible maneuvers to make himself as small and undetectable as possible.
[20:14] <Tania_Clarke> "And! And, and, and, everyone moved so fast, like they were always in a hurry!"
[20:15] * Tania_Clarke continues to loudly talk to the other students, smiling and making exagerated gestures every so often.
[20:16] * Anto_Belac locks his eyes on Tania but keeps his face tucked into the desk. His pupils go wide confusedly.
[20:18] <Anto_Belac> He reaches his tiny, free hand outward and taps Jack on the shoulder.
[20:18] * Jack_Murdock sits and stares out the window, 'What is it?'
[20:18] * Anto_Belac points at Tania.
[20:18] <Jack_Murdock> "What about her?"
[20:19] <Baxter_Haley> The two manage to find seats in the back, with Jack in the farthest most corner next to the window, and Anto in front of him, second to the back.
[20:24] <Tania_Clarke> "But! But but, but- eh? New guys?"
[20:24] * Anto_Belac recoils his finger when she notices them.
[20:24] <Baxter_Haley> "Who are they?" one of the girls asks, a red head with shoulder length hair.
[20:25] * Tania_Clarke turns to face the pair, her mouth half open.
[20:26] * Tania_Clarke turns towards the readhead.
[20:26] <Tania_Clarke> "Let's ask them!" she cheerfully says.
[20:27] <Baxter_Haley> The clique of girls agree quickly enough, but seem content for content for Tania to take the lead.
[20:31] * Tania_Clarke gingerly walks over to the boys, and after shifting her gaze from one to the other in quick succession, leans into Jack's desk.
[20:31] <Tania_Clarke> "Helloo~!" she says with near disregard to personal space, in a fashion too reminiscent of a certain doctor...
[20:31] <Tania_Clarke> "My friends were wondering who are you~"
[20:32] * Anto_Belac shoves himself further into his desk and covers his face with his arms.
[20:33] * Jack_Murdock looks over at the girl with his usual flat stare, 'Jack Murdock. And who might you be?'
[20:34] * Tania_Clarke smiles and responds. "I'm Tania, and..." she looks over to the others.
[20:37] <Baxter_Haley> the red head speaks up, introducing herself as Alice, while the blonde next to her is Bethany. A smaller, brown hair girl with a braided pony tail who looks suspiciously similar to Holley, is named Denice.
[20:38] <Baxter_Haley> "Like, hello Jack," Bethany begins, smiling to him plesantly.
[20:38] * Anto_Belac has run out of area that he can push himself in to hide and instead resorts to staring away from the girls and fidgeting.
[20:39] <Baxter_Haley> "And who's he?" Alice inquires, giving Anto a predatory look.
[20:40] * Jack_Murdock nods to Bethany when she greets him
[20:41] * Anto_Belac squeaks out a sound which could be interpreted as a greeting.
[20:42] <Jack_Murdock> "His name is Anto..."
[20:43] <Tania_Clarke> "Hmm?"
[20:43] * Tania_Clarke gingerly moves over to Anto's desk.
[20:43] <Tania_Clarke> "Anton?"
[20:43] <Baxter_Haley> "Oh, a pleasure to meet you," Alice replies, with a small curtsy.
[20:44] * Anto_Belac blushes and shakes his head. "An-Anto."
[20:44] <Anto_Belac> "H-hi."
[20:44] <Baxter_Haley> Meanwhile, Denice hides behind Beth, who has taken to talking small talk with Jack.
[20:47] <Tania_Clarke> "So, where are you from Anton?" Tania says while kneeling across his desk to be on eye level with the boy.
[20:47] <Jack_Murdock> "So then, Bethany, who would you say is the top dog at this school?"
[20:47] * Anto_Belac recoils back, blushes, looks everywhere except at Tania. "F-from a boat."
[20:50] <Tania_Clarke> "From a boat?" Tania repeats with interest.
[20:50] <Anto_Belac> "A boat."
[20:50] <Baxter_Haley> Alice smiles coyly, and replies "Oh, so you were on a boat?"
[20:51] <Anto_Belac> "I-I mostly lived on boats."
[20:51] <Baxter_Haley> Meanwhile, Bethany sniggers, with Denise laughing softly behind her. The blond girl returns her attention to Jack, replying, "Not sure what you mean. Like, the hottest, what?"
[20:53] <Jack_Murdock> "Sure, whatever you all want to call it."
[20:55] <Tania_Clarke> to Anto: "What kind of boats?"
[20:55] <Baxter_Haley> She considers this, placing a hand on her chin while the other curls her wavy blonde hair. "I'd say, like, Nick is probably the hottest, but I'm pretty sure he's gay. No man looks that good with make up."
[20:58] <Anto_Belac> "Um, big ones. Shipping freighters. Usually business ships."
[20:58] * Jack_Murdock lets out a sigh, 'Nevermind...'
[20:59] <Baxter_Haley> "Oh, why? You like looking for someone?" Beth asks, sincerly curious.
[21:00] <Tania_Clarke> "Oooh~"
[21:01] <Jack_Murdock> "Not really, just wanted to know if there was anyone I shouldn't piss off."
[21:05] <Baxter_Haley> Tapping her cheek, she considers the question. "Well, don't mess with Mr. Jackson. I heard he killed a bunch of people in the war."
[21:06] <Baxter_Haley> ]Alice, meanwhile, continues to make small talk with Anto, ferreting out more info on the boy.
[21:08] * Anto_Belac glances nervously at Alice.
[21:08] <Anto_Belac> "Um, hello."
[21:09] <Baxter_Haley> "So, you do any sports?" the red head asks, which Bethany soon repeats to Jack.
[21:10] <Anto_Belac> "N-no. I spent most of my life on boats. I don't even know h-how to play most sports, he blushes.
[21:10] <Anto_Belac> *," he
[21:11] <Tania_Clarke> "Well... if he's lived at the sea then... he must be good at swimming!" she chimes.
[21:12] <Anto_Belac> "Well, yes," he mutters. "The Ocean is a cruel mistress, though..."
[21:13] <Baxter_Haley> "Really now? It can get kinda chilly here sometimes, what with the permanent autumn, but we have a pool on campus. Wanna go for a swim sometime?" Alice asks, eyebrow raised.
[21:15] <Anto_Belac> "Oh, su-sure, maybe..."
[21:15] <Tania_Clarke> "Cruel mistress..."
[21:15] * Tania_Clarke ponders.
[21:17] <Baxter_Haley> Bethany looks to the candian boy, and asks, "Like, what about you, Jack?"
[21:17] <Jack_Murdock> "I played soccer and baseball as I grew up, but not much else." he replies to Bethany
[21:18] <Baxter_Haley> "Any lacrosse?" the blonde asks, almost hopeful.
[21:20] <Jack_Murdock> "Only once. The, uh, head instructor, didn't care for many sports, so it was rare to play anything other than soccer or baseball."
[21:26] <Baxter_Haley> "Oh, well, you should try out for the-" Bethany begins excitedly, before being cut off by the bell. Instantly, people rush in through the door way for there seats. In total there are seventeen people in the class, each looking attentively towards the front. Facing forward, books out, and with perfect posture, they look like a model class.
[21:27] * Anto_Belac continues shifting in his seat.
[21:27] * Jack_Murdock continues to rest back in his seat with his arms crossed
[21:28] * Tania_Clarke blends in perfectly with the rest of the students.
[21:30] <Baxter_Haley> In walks a man in his mid thirties, with short cut brown hair, and a trimmed beard. A set of khaki slacks with a belt and white button up make his clothing, and for the most part he looks like a nice enough guy, if a bit plain. Taking his seat at the desk, he scans over a leaflet of paper.
[21:31] <Baxter_Haley> "Says here we have two new students. Stand up and introduce yourselves, will you?" he asks, a slight drawl in his words.
[21:33] * Anto_Belac fidgets and stands upright, hand clutched in his right pocket. His face tinges red slightly.
[21:33] * Jack_Murdock stands up and stares at the teacher, 'Jack Murdock.'
[21:35] <Baxter_Haley> "Good, good. Is that a hint of a german accent I hear?" the teacher asks?"
[21:35] <Baxter_Haley> "Good, good. Is that a hint of a german accent I hear?" the teacher asks.
[21:35] * Jack_Murdock growls, 'Don't remind me.'
[21:36] * Jack_Murdock sits back down with a thud and returns to his prior sitting position
[21:37] <Baxter_Haley> Turning his attention to Anto, the older man asks, "And you?"
[21:39] * Anto_Belac starts upward. "My name is Anto Belac, I lived on boats most of my life, it's very nice to meet all of you, I'm property of someone else sopleasedon'thurtmeorhewillbeverymadthankyouandgoodmorning."
[21:39] * Anto_Belac pauses, blushes furiously, and sits right the hell back down.
[21:40] <Jack_Murdock> "Nice one Anto."
[21:41] <Baxter_Haley> "...Alright then," the teacher replies lamely, staring at the boy with the rest of the class. "Well, with as many people who moved out of the city after the terrorist attack, I'm surprised that we had two more children to add to our class. Welcome to St. Mary's Highschool for Individual Tutelage."
[21:50] <Baxter_Haley> The class begins as normal, at least for Tania, though Alice continues to notes to her during class. Up till lunch, most of the classes are borign affairs that no one has trouble catching up on, though introductions for the two male pilots go various ways. Most seem to treat Anto as a shy, if awkward boy, while Jack seems to catch a few glances from the girls, the guys too intimidated to
[21:50] <Baxter_Haley> talk to him.
[21:51] * Baxter_Haley is now known as Champion
[21:55] <Champion> The cafeteria is huge, filled to excess with many people goign outside to eat in the courtyard. a trio of large lines form, with upperclassmen forcing their way to the front.
[21:56] * Anto_Belac stands on his tippy-toes as he tries to get a view of the food. An anxious look racks his face and grows when he is unable to see past the crowds.
[21:58] * Jack_Murdock is standing behind Anto and reading the menu fine due to his height
[21:59] <Anto_Belac> "Jack what does it say?"
[22:00] <Jack_Murdock> "Anything particular you want? Because I am not going over the whole thing for you."
[22:01] <Anto_Belac> "Food!"
[22:02] <Champion> The sign reads various food listings, each line something different. An Italian line, selling pizza and pasta, a ala cart line, that leads into somethign reminicent of a convenience store, and a regular lunch line selling fish sticks as an entree with sides.
[22:04] <Jack_Murdock> "Italian, shitty food, and fish sticks. Personally, I'm going for pizza."
[22:05] <Anto_Belac> "There's a CHOICE of FOOD?!"
[22:06] <Jack_Murdock> "Yeah.... You get in a different line and then tell the person up front what you want."
[22:07] * Anto_Belac tilts back and forth as his anxiety replaces itself with anticipation.
[22:19] <Champion> Anto and Jack split up, going into seperate lines; Anto int he main, Jack in the Italian line. While most give the scowling Jack a wide berth, Anto is shoved around by sophmores and juniors waiting in line with him. They claim it be an accident, but it's obviously on purpose. Even worse, about halfway through the line, Anto realizes he lacks a crucial requirement, money.
[22:20] * Anto_Belac rummages through his pockets two more times. "Oh..."
[22:21] * Anto_Belac sighs, takes a half-step out of line and moves toward an empty table. He hangs his head in a defeated pose familiar to him.
[22:22] <Champion> As Anto takes a seat, he feels a tapping on the back of his shoulder.
[22:23] * Jack_Murdock orders a few slices of supreme pizza before spotting, and then heading to Anto's table
[22:23] * Anto_Belac jerks his head upwards and half-spins around. "Wha-y-yes?!"
[22:24] <Champion> Behind him, he finds a slyly grinning Alice, her green eyes peering down at the surprised Anto. "So... what do we have here?"
[22:24] <Anto_Belac> "Oh! H-hello."
[22:25] <Champion> "Someone steal your milk money?" she asks, an elegent eyebrow raised.
[22:25] * Freezerg has quit (Ping timeout: 240 seconds)
[22:26] <Anto_Belac> "I, uhm, never had any."
[22:27] <Champion> With a dramatic sigh, she flickes her hair, before giving Anto an alluring look. "How about a deal. I'll buy you food, and you come eat with me and my friends?" she asks innocently.
[22:28] <Anto_Belac> "C-can my friend sit too?"
[22:29] <Champion> "Who, the jar-head? Sure," Alice replies, dismissive. "So, you accept the terms?"
[22:30] * Jack_Murdock places his food onto the table and takes a seat accross from Anto, 'I thought you were going to get food.'
[22:30] <Champion> Alice turns to Jack, a charming smile on her face. "Oh, Jack. We were just talkign about you."
[22:30] <Anto_Belac> "Okay. Uhm, Jack, I'm going to sit with -- Alice and her friends, I guess? Do you want to come too?"
[22:31] <Jack_Murdock> "I'm fine."
[22:31] <Jack_Murdock> He stares at Alice
[22:33] <Champion> "You will? Peeerfect," Alice says, an avaricious gleam in her eye.
[22:34] <Anto_Belac> "No, I think he means he wants to stay here. Uh?"
[22:35] <Champion> Grabbing Anto by the arm, Alice pulls him away from the table into a lunch line, where they swiftly find themselves at the front somehow.
[22:35] <Anto_Belac> "Wait-I-oh-okay. Bye Jack!" He waves, but Jack is already out of sight.
[22:35] * Jack_Murdock watches Anto and the girl like a hawk as he eats his pizza
[22:39] <Champion> Anto and alice soon make their way to the roof, and open area with a flat concrete surface and park benches intermittenly placed. Once there, Anto is seat with Alice, as well as Tania, Bethany, and Denice, who all appear to have begun eating.
[22:41] <Anto_Belac> "Hello," he mutters as he sits down. He attempts to hide his red face by stuffing food in it.
[22:41] * Tania_Clarke looks up, surprised.
[22:41] <Tania_Clarke> "Oh, hello~"
[22:43] <Champion> "Everyone," Alice begins cheerfully, "Anto here is going to join us today." Bethany gives the boy a look, before returning to conversing with Tania. Denice, meanwhile doesn't look up from the book she's reading, her meager meal already eaten.
[22:43] * Jack_Murdock finishes his Pizza quickly and then stands up. He spends a few moments looking around the cafeteria for another group of girls
[22:44] <Champion> Jack spots a few, the closest a group of girls with died black hair and pale skin.
[22:46] * Jack_Murdock walks over to them and pulls up a seat, 'Afternoon, ladies. I have some questions for you all, I hope you don't mind.'
[22:46] * Anto_Belac works up some courage and poses a question. "Uh, earlier one of you said a boy was happy as though it was a bad thing. What did you mean?"
[22:47] * Tania_Clarke raises an eyebrow.
[22:47] <Champion> They turn to look at Jack, surprised at his approach. "And who, are you?" one of the skinnier ones asks rudely.
[22:48] <Jack_Murdock> "I'm new here and want to find out about someone. That Alice girl, what can you tell me about her?"
[22:48] <Champion> They look more or less the same, some more skinnier that others, but each having defaced their uniforms in some slight way. Each seems to be wearing an upside-down cross on a necklace, worn boldly for all to see.
[22:50] <Champion> "What?" comes the response from Beth, while Alice tries to supress a fit of giggles. Denise looks over the edge of her book, and asks softly, "You mean Nick?"
[22:50] <Anto_Belac> "Yes, Nick, that's him."
[22:51] <Champion> A larger, portlier girl answer Jack this time. "You mean that peppy slut? What about her, looking for an easy lay?" she replies with a sneer.
[22:52] <Jack_Murdock> "No, just worried for a friend she's trying to rope. And any info would be nice."
[22:52] <Champion> "Um, Anto, I called him gay, not happy," Beth responds, while Alice continues to try to stifle laughter.
[22:53] * Tania_Clarke snaps her fingers.
[22:53] <Tania_Clarke> "Oh~!"
[22:54] <Tania_Clarke> "But... " she ponders "... Nick isn't like that. He's just... he's a pretty cool guy."
[22:56] <Tania_Clarke> "Boys should take care of their appearance too." She nods to herself.
[22:56] <Anto_Belac> "But...those are the same thing," he stares at Bethany vexedly.
[22:57] <Champion> "Oh," she replies, as the skinnier girl finishes for her landwhale friend. "She's a total slut, I head she sleeps with every boy who gives her a twenty dollar bill. And she is a virgin hunter too. Sits up on the roof with her dumb friends Beth and Denise, and that whore Clarke."
[22:58] * Tania_Clarke sneezes.
[22:58] <Champion> "Bless you," Beth says absent mindedly.
[22:58] <Jack_Murdock> "What makes you say that about Miss Clarke? Is there something I should know about her too?"
[22:59] <Champion> "Um, Anto, how do I say this. Nick. Likes. Men," Alice explains calmly, trying not to burst into laughter.
[23:00] * Anto_Belac blinks, blushes furiously, then wraps one hand up in his right pocket and stuffs his face with the other.
[23:01] <Champion> "Well, she totally gets hit on all the time by the lacroose players. You know she totally flirts with them and stuff," the girl states with a disapproving scowl.
[23:03] <Champion> At this, Alice can no longer hold back as she starts to laugh out loud, with Beth soon joining her. Denise simply grow red faced as well, burying her nose in her book.
[23:04] * Tania_Clarke giggles.
[23:04] <Tania_Clarke> then starts laughing out loud
[23:05] <Jack_Murdock> "I see. Well, you're lucky you're not a man, or I probably would have hit you by now. But thanks all the same." he then stands up and goes off for a stairway to the roof top
[23:05] <Tania_Clarke> "Hahahaha!"
[23:05] * Anto_Belac lets out a low groan, and wraps his head in his arms.
[23:06] <Tania_Clarke> after calming a bit and cleaning a tear from her eye, she asks "Wait, what are we laughing at?"
[23:07] <Champion> Alice pats the boy on the back comfortingly, calming down a bit. Not long after, the door to the roof openes, revealing the perpetually agitated Jack.
[23:10] * Jack_Murdock stares over at the group. 'Bethany, Denise, can I talk to you both for a minute?'
[23:13] * Tania_Clarke looks over to the pair, then quickly back at Jack, innocent puzzlement on her face.
[23:14] <Champion> "Um, like sure," Bethany says, confused. Denice settles for nodding, as she picks up her bags and joins Bethany. A few seconds later, and they've walked over to Jack, seperate from their clique.
[23:15] <Jack_Murdock> "I need a second opinion. ABout Alice. Tell me about her."
[23:17] <Champion> Denice hides behind Beth, half afraid to approach Jack. The blonde girl though, gives Jack a quizical look, and asks, "Like, what do you mean?"
[23:18] <Jack_Murdock> "Word on the street is she'll do anything for a twenty and preys on guys like Anto."
[23:19] <Tania_Clarke> "Hey Anton do you-"
[23:19] * Tania_Clarke trails off.
[23:19] * Anto_Belac sniffs and peers over his arms. "Do I what?"
[23:20] <Champion> "What!" Beth all but shrieks, instantly furious. "Did that bitch Cathy tell you that? I swear if she's spreading rumors again..."
[23:21] <Tania_Clarke> "One minute~" she says with a smile and stands up.
[23:21] <Champion> While not a scream, Beth speaks rather loudly, and several nearby people turn to lookat her, include a rather pissed Alice.
[23:22] <Champion> [*including}
[23:22] <Jack_Murdock> "Calm down Bethany."
[23:23] * Tania_Clarke walks over to the group and asks innocently. "What's happening?"
[23:24] <Champion> "So, who told you those lies?" Beth says, arms crossed. Tapping her foot impatiently, she begins to glare at Jack as if he was the cause of all this.
[23:25] <Champion> Denice is the one who answers Tania, speaking up for first time.  "We think Cathy thtarted that twenty dollar rumor again about Alithe," she says with a lisp.
[23:27] * Jack_Murdock glares back down, stepping a little closer to her to show his lack of fear for the lass, 'Those goth chicks told me. But to be honest, that look in her eyes when she talks to Anto says that they might be right.'
[23:27] <Tania_Clarke> "What ru-... Oh!" She ponders. "Hmm..."
[23:28] <Jack_Murdock> "Now she'd better hope that it ain't true, or there will be hell to pay."
[23:28] * Tania_Clarke stops smiling, for just an instant, then giggles.
[23:29] <Champion> "Oh, those pales little skanks. They're just jealous because boys actually like us, unlike those dykes. Yeah, she obviously likes the boat kid, but whatever. Don't believe everything you hear," Beth responds, quickly calming down.
[23:29] <Tania_Clarke> "Beth, Beth, you should go calm Alice down."
[23:30] <Tania_Clarke> "I'll explain everything to- uh, what was your name?"
[23:31] <Champion> "Yeah, you're right," Beth replies, heading back to the table with Denice in her wake.
[23:32] <Jack_Murdock> "Tania, you know damn right who I am."

[23:41] * Anto_Belac stares his pleading eyes at Jack as he sits AWAY from Anto.
