- 1) MISO STEWED BEAN SPROUTS
- COST: $1.98 bc holy fuck, 99 cents at rOGERS ! ! ! miso im just gonna pretend... is free.... jk its frm mom but shh close enough desho
- Ingredients:
- - 2 boxes of bean sprouts
- - 5 packets of instant miso + the other stuff (uHH ~ like.. 1-2 tbs... doesnt matter if its too salty bc you can always add water)
- - water
- - splash of cooking sake
- * can add shiitake for extra flavor bc instant miso is kinda lacking, but i forgot to soak lmao
- 1. soak/wash bean sprouts bc i dont trust!! on-campus markets!!! ~15 minutes but i got distracted so i have no clue how long
- 2. prep the miso-- aka dump all 5 packets into the pot and add just enough hot water to dissolve miso completely
- 3. put pot on stove and MAX HEAT, dump in all of the bean sprouts
- 4. add enough water to almost cover bean sprouts, and just wait until it comes to a boil
- 5. stir occasionally to mix the bean sprouts
- 6. yeah all you do is boil them for like 20 min at medium heat, longer if you like them with less crunch/saltier
- 7. done ! ! !
- 2) 榨菜芽菜肉 (ithink ? thats what my mom calls it? either way, zha cai + sprouts + meat)
- cost: markets are awful this is like 9 bucks to make fuck you HDH
- Ingredients
- - half a packet of zha cai
- - 1 box bean sprouts
- - cooking sake
- - garlic powder
- - salt
- 1. wash ur jank ass overpriced bean sprouts
- 2. dump in the zha cai onto your pan (oiled) bc the oil frm the zha cai is also very nice
- 3. throw in your bean sprouts, splash some cooking sake over and mix
- 4. sprinkle salt + garlic powder evenly over sprouts, however much you want !!
- 5. yeah just fry them around until they're clear ish
- 6. DONE ! ! !
