  1. [04:28:41] Seiko Hikitari > ha nice
  2. [04:28:47] Seiko Hikitari > sorry was scanning
  3. [04:29:06] Matthew Geary > No worries. :) How are you liking VENIO?
  4. [04:29:26] Seiko Hikitari > ah I'm liking it alright
  5. [04:29:47] Seiko Hikitari > we could use more FCs and scouts tbh, but for a corp with a low number of actual people I think we do ok
  6. [04:30:21] Seiko Hikitari > basically, we have a few isboxers who can login the brunt of the dps, like we casually have 20 in fleet with only 4 or 5 real people
  7. [04:30:24] Matthew Geary > Gotcha. What's activity look like during US evenings midweek?
  8. [04:31:30] Seiko Hikitari > corp is split between ustz and late eu
  9. [04:31:44] Seiko Hikitari > activity depends on what we have in chain obviously
  10. [04:32:03] Seiko Hikitari > but there's usually always people looking to do something
  11. [04:32:24] Seiko Hikitari > if you've been in explorer corp, our ceo was their main FC, Lord's Servant
  12. [04:32:47] Matthew Geary > Unfortunately the entire time I was in Explorer Corp there was 0 people online.
  13. [04:33:08] Seiko Hikitari > explorer had a split recently I heard
  14. [04:33:12] Matthew Geary > For almost a month there was 1-2 people online during US evenings there.
  15. [04:33:35] Seiko Hikitari > but lord is probably more knowledgeable than me about disavowed politics
  16. [04:33:56] Seiko Hikitari > but to give you an idea of what a day looks like
  17. [04:34:48] Seiko Hikitari > yesterday we spot a poco going out of reinforce in 3h down our chain, we put scouts and use the locals as bait for whoever reinforced it (nomex as it turned out), then crash on them bashing the poco with 20 gilas
  18. [04:35:38] Seiko Hikitari > then blue the locals to try and bait them more but they never came back; that's when our scout spots carriers doing silly things in a LS down our chain; some time later we batphone DBD because it's late and we only have few ppl online
  19. [04:35:44] Seiko Hikitari > <url=killReport:42641742:54494854fcce8abe33cb07c6d17b68c5ad4a56b1>Kill: Znake Flisskens (Chimera)</url>
  20. [04:38:25] Seiko Hikitari > ceo posts every now and then on failheap challenge forums http://failheap-challenge.com/showthread.php?144-Wormhole-Space-(147-posts-deleted-and-counting)/page112
  21. [04:38:37] Seiko Hikitari > to see a few older BRs
  22. [04:39:24] Matthew Geary > How do you think the IsBoxer change will affect the corp, if at all?
  23. [04:39:36] Seiko Hikitari > it will change a few things
  24. [04:39:42] Seiko Hikitari > but not as dramatically as you'd think
  25. [04:39:49] Seiko Hikitari > only bans input duplications
  26. [04:40:06] Seiko Hikitari > so we're reviewing our setups to switch everything to key rollover or taskbars
  27. [04:40:28] Seiko Hikitari > might make us switch from drone assist gila doctrines to alpha canes / fleet canes / sleipnirs
  28. [04:41:02] Seiko Hikitari > because without broadcasting the setup to assist gilas is going to be a chore
  29. [04:41:19] Seiko Hikitari > it will probably remain our main doctrine for the time being
  30. [04:41:48] Seiko Hikitari > we also use tengus for logi, with a few afk isboxed cap transfer / remote eccm tengus
  31. [04:42:41] Seiko Hikitari > the singleboxers fly sabre, logi, scout, bhaalgorn...
  32. [04:42:43] Matthew Geary > /emote nods.
  33. [04:42:47] Matthew Geary > I love Logi Tengus.
  34. [04:43:51] Seiko Hikitari > for evictions and super heavy duty we have a neut rattlesnake doctrine
  35. [04:44:21] Seiko Hikitari > and people isboxing dreads
  36. [04:45:35] Seiko Hikitari > we lack in the tackling department although we're getting better at that
  37. [04:45:51] Seiko Hikitari > usually we dunk people but after the first couple ships get volleyed they gtfo
  38. [04:47:14] Seiko Hikitari > <url=killReport:42067012:e20c0cdf90aabc13262631e7b4b175e5866968d0>Kill: spaceghost69 (Guardian)</url> the dps is really mean
  39. [04:49:10] Seiko Hikitari > as far as the isk goes, we live in a c4 pulsar with c3-5 statics (ccp recently added a 2nd static to c4)
  40. [04:49:47] Seiko Hikitari > so singleboxers can run c3 sites, multiboxers c5 sites, c3 gives us easy logistics and access to kspace, c5 lets us fight the "big boys"
  41. [04:51:00] Seiko Hikitari > we'd done also a couple of SRP ops lately, where we rageroll the c5, pvp if there's pvp, run the sites if there isn't with 50% going to srp wallet and 50% split between players
  42. [04:52:10] Matthew Geary > Gotcha.
  43. [04:52:16] Matthew Geary > Is it a corp you'd recommend?
  44. [04:52:51] Seiko Hikitari > mmm, it depends on what you'd be looking for in a corp
  45. [04:53:04] Seiko Hikitari > but I've recommended it on ex corpmates who've joined me and are recommending it
  46. [04:53:07] Seiko Hikitari > so I guess yes
  47. [04:54:10] Matthew Geary > Mostly looking for an active corp in the US TZ where PvP and money making options exist. I want to fly with good pilots, and be able to find something to do when logging in for the evening.
  48. [04:54:59] Seiko Hikitari > large corps in the "wh cfc" like Lazerhawks, Hard Knocks, SSC, NoHo are obviously a lot more stable, bigger, and have a lot more scouts in their chain to look for content
  49. [04:55:12] Seiko Hikitari > but that's the small corp / large corp argument
  50. [04:55:47] Seiko Hikitari > "small" as in the corp is basically a month old and uses isboxer to fill in numbers so we can be competitive
  51. [04:56:16] Seiko Hikitari > but since we have less scouts in our chains we're bound to have less pewpew than large alliances
  52. [04:57:29] Matthew Geary > Fair enough.
  53. [05:01:20] Matthew Geary > Why;d you join VENIO instead of one of the WH CFC corps?
  54. [05:02:29] Seiko Hikitari > because I knew Lord's Servant and liked what he was doing
  55. [05:02:34] Seiko Hikitari > I considered LZHX for a while
  56. [05:03:24] Seiko Hikitari > I had a good few corpmates in Promethean Society but the corp died from burnout because too few people, so I got a few ex-PS people motivated to join with me and do stuff
  57. [05:03:33] Seiko Hikitari > never been too big on large alliance
  58. [05:03:49] Seiko Hikitari > where no one really knows you
  59. [05:03:59] Seiko Hikitari > and you don't recognize half of the people on TS
  60. [05:05:05] Seiko Hikitari > I can probably get in touch with my ceo and drag him in the convo if you want
  61. [05:05:26] Seiko Hikitari > for more details about where we're going etc.
  62. [05:05:39] Seiko Hikitari > see if that sounds like something you'd like to go too
  63. [05:05:49] Seiko Hikitari > somewhere*
  64. [05:06:10] Matthew Geary > Lord's? Nah, not yet. I'm still just perusing the options out there right now.
  65. [05:06:19] Matthew Geary > Sub encouraged me to touch base with you first.
  66. [05:07:01] Seiko Hikitari > sounds good, I'm very careful about the corps I join too :)
  67. [05:07:34] Matthew Geary > My biggest concern in W-Space is another Explorer Corp scenario.
  68. [05:07:51] Matthew Geary > Where they upsell heavily, and then no one is online for weeks to even scout me to the hole.
  69. [05:08:23] Matthew Geary > Activity, moreso than anything else, is what I'm looking for. I'm willing to do any sort of activity, I just am tired of doing it solo. ;)
  70. [05:08:47] Seiko Hikitari > well
  71. [05:09:01] Seiko Hikitari > we always have people scanning the chain
  72. [05:09:03] Seiko Hikitari > speaking of which
  73. [05:09:10] Seiko Hikitari > gonna gank a cap escalation now
  74. [05:09:30] Seiko Hikitari > 2 moros, archon, NPC wrecks on dscan
  75. [05:09:53] Matthew Geary > Heh. Let me know how it goes. :)
  76. [05:13:51] Seiko Hikitari > welp, looks like we got there a little too late
  77. [05:14:03] Seiko Hikitari > when our scout got in system they were finishing salvage
  78. [05:14:07] Seiko Hikitari > and their caps logged off
  79. [05:14:15] Seiko Hikitari > apparently
  80. [05:14:36] Matthew Geary > Doh.
  81. [05:14:41] Matthew Geary > How many "real" people are online atm?
  82. [05:18:19] Seiko Hikitari > 5 real people
  83. [05:18:22] Seiko Hikitari > including me
  84. [05:18:42] Seiko Hikitari > we're going to move in with another corp in another c4-3/5 pulsar soon
  85. [05:18:55] Seiko Hikitari > and they have 10 people on TS
  86. [05:19:31] Seiko Hikitari > soon as in "probably, heard of it today"
  87. [05:19:46] Seiko Hikitari > but we've always shared the same TS so it's not super surprising
  88. [05:20:29] Matthew Geary > Which corp, if you don't mind me asking? (Feel free to say No) :)
  89. [05:20:58] Seiko Hikitari > <url=showinfo:2//262288963>Discrete Astrographic Reconnaissance Technologies</url>
  90. [05:21:16] Seiko Hikitari > I've heard <url=showinfo:2//479585347>Pandora Sphere</url> is moving in too
  91. [05:23:14] Matthew Geary > From Disavowed?
  92. [05:23:22] Seiko Hikitari > yes
  93. [05:24:53] Matthew Geary > Interesting.
  94. [05:25:23] Matthew Geary > Thanks for taking the time to chat, Seiko. I've got an early morning, so I need to log. Can we pick this up again after the hoiday?
  95. [05:25:25] Matthew Geary > holiday
  96. [05:29:49] Seiko Hikitari > sure
  97. [05:30:02] Seiko Hikitari > good night :)
  98. [05:30:08] Matthew Geary > Awesome. Have a great rest of the evening, and happy holidays!
  99. [05:30:34] Seiko Hikitari > you too
