  2. E1:
  3. Discard sha in 8 turn was weird. I guess you wanted to change your hand to tanyao, but in this situation it's too slow. Trust me - it's miracle that you somehow managed to get that 4p ankou (it was only title that left from 4p and 5p shanpon - and don't even talk about 3p/6p cause 9p furiten). Opening this hand only to drop EXTREMELY dangerous 3m was stupid. Ok, you can say "suji", but even if you wouldn't deal into shimocha riichi, kamicha was very close baiman hand which obviously was manzu oriented.
  4. E3:
  5. Is sha your most hatred title or something? In 4th turn I would rather drop 9s, because it decrease your chances to backfire (it would hurt only if you got second 9s). Discard 1m over 1s in sixth turn also was mistake - first, you already discarded one 1s. Second, if you get 2m (dora), then you end with 123m and 455m, maybe not the most desirable wait (two 6m already in opponents discards), but definitely no bad in your situation. Also drop 9m in 8th turn was way too early - it could backfire if you get 2m and 7m and it's very safe title to use if later if anyone drop riichi.
  6. E4:
  7. I would say that you drop that mazu to fast, but it was also unlucky, so I spare you there. But I cannot spare you if it comes to oikake riichi - 3900 points isn't worth enough to pursuit oya, especially if you consider 4s and 7s are easy to use in a lot combinations and three of them were already out. Without luck play like this is suicide and if you dealt into ippatsu and uradora (just hypothesis) it would be game over.
  8. E4-1:
  9. I don't know, really. Situation when you sit on 3900 points in east round sure isn't comfortable, but your decision making in this hand was very poor. First, you could call riichi in second turn - yea, this hand is shit, but there were already one 2s and 4s in your opponents discard. You could scare them and push to defence, but well >ippan... and it's also you advantage. If you already see two 2s and 4s your opponents would have a lot of problems if they got 3s - as long as they won't get tanki or ankou, they must drop it to keep pushing. Kan here is questionable (you lose shaten), but I can forgive you, cause if don't want quick hand, you need powerful one. Why you drop dora in 6th discard? When you get ankou 9s you should go insta riichi (but why don't you do it earlier then, if the wait and points are the same?) or screw it and hope for lucky ryanmen with that 6m. In the end you won, but it was very bad play.
  10. S1:
  11. Sometimes correct order of discarding honors can be game-chaning and you fucked it badly in this situation. You could end with daburu nan, dora, dora, which is nice start of comeback. Also I think kanchan is better than middle shanpon (look in example above to answer why).
  12. S2:
  13. You should open your hand, when nan appear - you're oya and more than 10k points behind third place. Also nan, dora, dora is a very good hand for comeback. Then, when toimen call riichi, you could just discard all 9m and 8m to keep pace and more flexibility (outcome probably wouldn't changed, but fanpai allow you to use terminals - if you drawn 1s here, you would be dead).
  14. S3:
  15. I don't know what was shimocha thinking, but you should thank him.
  16. S4:
  17. I would say, that discarding 1s and 9s were mistakes. If you look at kamicha discards, it's obviously that he keep a lot of souzu. You could use it as defence against him and, later, as offensive play against shimocha. I know I exaggerate, but you could end with haneman here. Of course it's easy to tell it when I know outcome and you should just defence against kamicha.

  20. E1:
  21. I assume, that discarding 5p was missclick and you wanted to drop 1s here?
  22. E2:
  23. Just warning for the future games. Dropping 7s wasn't so bad, but you should be aware that were dangerous area against everyone. After shimocha open his hand you CANNOT drop any other souzu title (of course don't count genbutsu), because it could end with at least mangan in the face. Luckly you only get 2s which you need to improve you ankou, but if you will have similar situation in future, just fold.
  24. E2-1:
  25. Third discard should be 4p, no 8p. First, even if it's iishaten to chiitoi, you don't necessary need to pursuit chiitoi here. Second, you already see three 7p, so 8p would be very strong wait as tanki - yea, you can see one, BUT it make you certain that no one have 8p ankou. I'm no sure that you should call riichi here or not (you could scare them by this, but >ippan. Also suji trap), but I think mangan/haneman tsumo is enough at this point of game, so I would call damaten correct here.
  26. E2-2:
  27. I don't know, this shanpon looks so bad - it's nice that it works, but if anyone else would call oikake riichi, you probably would deal into his hand.
  28. E3:
  29. I think you should fold discarding 4m instead of 2p in 12 turn. You had to many pairs to push it and pinzu were very dangerous here. Also you should drop 4s instead of 1s next turn, because of possible suji trap.
  30. E4:
  31. Way too early to drop 5s - you should discard nan, because one is already dead. Wouldn't change much, but in other game would. Also why did you drop 6m instead of 3m? Always pay attention to your shimocha discards, because you usually want to slow him as much as possible. WTF kamicha? This wait was retarded and he should be happy that it somehow worked (I would laugh so much, if he dealt into haku+something hand).
  32. E4-1:
  33. I think I would rather discard 7m than 1m in 5th turn (because two 8m are already out) or 5m (Iitsu dream). Dunno why you break your 789m later, but you shouldn't do it. Drop 2m or 7p after riichi, because you want to avoid chiitoi/fainpai ippatsu (which was unlikly but possible). Then you could try with hatsu if you want to push it.
  34. S3:
  35. Kan here is horrible decision. First, it give your opponents possibility to improve their hands - something you don't want to when on the lead. Second, you lose your three titles wait - 347p change to weak (because only 4 titles including one dora) 47p ryanem.
  36. S4:
  37. I would drop 6m instead of 5p - 67m ryanmen has only 5 titles left, when 45p ryanmes has 8 titles.
  38.
  39. Well, you get very good and easy hands in south round, so there is nothing more to talk about it. Good job for ending first.

  42. E1:
  43. Well, it was unlucky, because you run out of safe titles, but you could try to push 4m, because daburu-suji. On the other side this hand was shit, so don't need to worry.
  44. E2:
  45. You keep that haku way too long. Also even with four titles wait, this hand was weak and in mess. Drop two 4s or 7m and hope that someone else deal into toimen riichi.
  46. E3:
  47. It's a tough one. You need a strong hand and riichi+tsumo give you possibility of baiman, but wait is horrible. My first thought when I watched this hand, was that you drop 2p too early. Well, it was my mistake, because I don't noticed that 6s is dora, but funnily enough, 2p was title, which could give you tsumo here. Of course it's just occult shit and 45s was way superior to any pinzu combination in this case, but I just wanted to point it. So, if you want to know what's this hand cannot work, I would say - E2. If you wouldn't deal into toimen hand, you could just easly dama here and just maybe, kamicha would drop that 6s. Haneman without riichi sure is juicy.
  48. E3-1:
  49. Well, I don't think you know what you wanted to do with this hand. 1m wasn't bad first discard, but it backfired badly. I think everything started to falling apart from sixth turn. 9s give you 246s - not the best wait, but still better than furiten 23m - and even possibility for iitsu - something you really want in your situation. Then you dropped two 1s. Why? Furiten ryanmen and 1p were way better discards. Eventually, you managed to get into tenpai, but only on hell wait 2s with poor tanyao+dora. Daburu ron was very unlucky, but, well, you deserve it. 2s was very safe here and even when with ton you lose yaku, you still can hope for haitei/houtei+dora san and, what's even more important, you're still alive (in your situation haneman hit is enough to kill - and if you deal into hand with ton as a dora, it's most likely riichi+ton+dora san, one ura/aka and you're dead).
