  1. Slime Outbreak: Aftermath
  2.
  3. Good evening. This is Mr. Nemo and welcome to Mamano Channel 5.
  4.
  5. It is currently six months after the event which is now known as Slime Outbreak. As of this time there has been no sighting of any new Slime Queens nor unusual population fluctuations. With the Queen captured along with her Servants scientists and wardens are currently keeping watch in a secure facility. As a special treat we had an interview with a staff member regarding the Slime Queen and other subjects related to this event. For security reasons names and locations of the facility and its faculty are censored.
  6.
  7. Mr. Stokes: First off I would like to say thank you for letting us conduct this interview.
  8. Mr. Scientist: It's a pleasure.
  9. Mr. Stokes: If you wouldn't mind I'd like to ask the two questions that has been on everyone's mind since the start of this outbreak. Where did this Queen Slime come from?
  10. Mr. Scientist: Well for starters based on samples extracted from the Queen Slime we concluded that she was "born" from a number of local Slimes fusing together in the dozens. These Slimes in turn decided to fuse when chemical stimulants released in the waters accelerated their growth and need for intelligence. This along with interrogations with the Slime Queen herself confirmed this theory.
  11. Mr. Stokes: Excuse me, but did you say that the Queen Slime was willing to speak?
  12. Mr. Scientist: Quite readily. She is quite able in keeping a conversation.
  13. Mr. Stokes: Pardon me but has she a name?
  14. Mr. Scientist. Indeed. She called herself Brangwen. When we asked how she came to that name she said it was from a newspaper article she saw when whe she was "born".
  15. Mr. Stokes: This Brangwen, would it be possible for us to conduct an interview with her?
  16. Mr. Scientist: I'm afraid not. With the  controversies surrounding whether or not she should be put down or on trial by law we cannot give one without due notice from court. Even if we could, she's stated that she wouldn't want to talk to anyone else other than the staff.
  17. Mr. Stokes: Nevermind then. On a similar subject could we discuss the living conditions Brangwen is currently under?
  18. Mr. Scientist: Of course. As a high ranking monster Brangwen is kept at Maximum Security Level 5. By keeping her in an airtight container, layered in plastics and constant vibrations she is unable to escape her cell. Food is always brought in by two stage roof hatches. If she ever were to attempt to escape the sonic chargers lining the hatches would go off, releasing shocks of electricity and sound which would repel the Queen. I would like to discuss numerous other ways the research division had devised to prevent a prison break, but I'm afraid I can't do that. For security reasons of course.
  19. Mr. Stokes: Thank you for giving us the time of day. but before I go, I would like to ask one last question.
  20. Mr. Scientist: Go ahead. Proceed.
  21. Mr. Stokes: Why? Why did she wish to create a Slime Kingdom? Some Queens in the past were content of ruling a small menagerie of Slimes, but why did she wish to expand?
  22. Mr. Scientist: A home. Brangwen wanted a home. She wanted her Slimes to be above ground, to do as they please. It's rather unsurprising for me that such a simple desire caused all of this.
  23. Mr. Stokes: Thank you for your time. I hope you have a pleasant day.
  24. Mr. Scientist: Same to you.
