"Drink up," she continued, now nudging him to take a sip from his drink. He couldn't even remember her name, it had been something impossible to pronounce anyway, but he was so drunk that he did what she said.

The panic came later, when he started feeling it in his system, his blood pumping, his eyes shifting and more energy than he knew how to use. He wretched in the smoking area and for a moment he questioned all of his life choices, but then he downed the rest of his beer and suddenly it was like everything vanished.

For hours there were no worries, dancing, sweat, lips pressed against his and inarticulated conversations in the smoking area. He felt so happy, everyone was amazing, everyone was his new bestfriend. Skin, hair, fabric, everything felt so soft to his touch; he was out of his mind and for once he could say he was smiling and meaning it.

"Now, to put you to sleep really good, you should try this," one of the guys he had been talking to during the night told him, waving a little plastic bag while they smoked the last cigarette of the night.

"What's that?"

"Ketamine."

"The fuck is ketamine?"

"It's a horse tranquilizer," the guy said snickering.

"Why would I take a horse tranquilizer?"

"Man, I promise you. It feels awesome. You'll love it."

It was enough to convince him in his current state, the guy dropped some in his drink and Nate downed it.

A couple of hours later, Nate stumbled helplessly through the unknown streets of Berlin, trying to find his car. He laid down on the entrance of some building when he couldn't make his body respond to his brain anymore.«in his drug haze. And he was happy. [/i]
