  1. [15:31] <Valene> Well, it's clear that wherever Valene is, it's not here. Not at her house, nor at the castle, nor at the library, or any other obvious place you'd look for her. What there IS is a small note inside the castle, saying that if anyone really needs her, like if a Guardian suddenly attacked or whatnot, that she'd be at the hospital that's (still) coated in tin foil. It should be clear that she's troubled, especially if she's thinking, like she said she was doing on that note. That's always troubling.
  2. [15:35] <Celeste> Disappearing like that without saying anything? At least there's a note saying where she is in case of emergency, but it still unpleasantly reminds Celeste of Skye vanishing. There's no way she's just going to sit around when something weird seems to be going on, so Celeste heads back to the tin hospital for the first time in a long while to investigate.
  3. [15:42] <Valene> And giving that Celeste doesn't run into any distractions, like a Taldeer out of nowhere, Valene certainly didn't HINDER anyone from stopping by, so it should be no issue to actually GET there. Valene is...well, she is a puddle. At least for a few seconds, anyway, before realizing someone is there and reforming herself. "...Ah, Celeste..." Of note, after getting what she needed, she turned the honesty policy OFF. It was rather rude, after all. ...Still, she can't lie to herself when she KNOWS what she was saying. "...we need to talk." THE FOUR WORDS.
  4. [15:45] <Celeste> The four words, here we go. Celeste certainly doesn't seem to know what this is about, "Did something happen to you? Why are you here? What's this about?" Twenty questions is such a fun game isn't it?
  5. [15:51] <Valene> Is. "Sort of, exactly what I said on the note, and..." Yeah, here we go. The difficulty she has in saying this only goes to show one of the very points she'll be making here. "...well, I realized things. A lot of things at once. For a while, I felt like I was lying to myself, and I went on and used my own personality manipulation to check. ...and I was right, and then some." Breath. "Didn't realize how out of tune I really was. Or how lonely I was, or how much of an idiot I actually am..."
  6. [16:02] <Valene> "...If that hugpillow was any indication, I was very, very lonely. It didn't help that I pretty much hate most of the normal world. By the time I got to the Scape, I was pretty much desperate. At least I have some self-control, if anything. ...And you were probably just as lonely, looking for your sister for so long...both of us were probably desperate for companionship, but I don't think either of us even knows what 'love' is, at least in the way we're going about it. ...And frankly, I think I'm far too used to normal life being alone to ever figure it out."
  7. [16:03] <Valene> She's silent now, and seems to be awaiting a response.
  8. [16:12] <Celeste> Celeste stands very still while Valene speaks. Afterwards, she speaks in a slightly quivering voice, "...So? I was lonely. You were lonely. That's why we got together, people do that all the time to fight loneliness and that's what we did at first. But, this place isn't as empty as it was before and I'm closer to finding my sister than I've ever been. You've got other people you can
  9. [16:12] <Celeste> talk to here and don't have to live in some stupid place that makes you unhappy. I think... We used each other at first, but we don't need each other as just some person to fight off being alone. If all I am is a living version of the hugpillow to keep you from feeling lonely, then you don't have any reason to stay with me anymore. There are other people I can talk to and spend
  10. [16:12] <Celeste> time with, but I don't want to with them, not the same way I do with you. I think, I started feeling different after we spent so much time together than I did when we were just using each other. You're not just some random person to make me not feel alone anymore. That's not how I feel. Maybe I'm too stupid to know what love is, but I do know that if I had to pick one person to spend
  11. [16:13] <Celeste> the rest of my time with, it would be you, Valene."
  12. [16:20] <Celeste> "You can definitely be pretty stupid, I know you well enough to say that. You're also brave and strong with the way you protect everyone, and I don't mean the powers you happen to have been given. The way you were willing to endanger yourself to protect everyone in the fight. I might be the best Seer, especially compared to idiots like Claire or... Masquachina or whatever her face
  13. [16:20] <Celeste> was, but I don't think I could've carried on much longer without your strong will supporting me. I felt like you really cared about me, and I cared about you as more than just a pillar to lean on. I have trouble making friends and I've never made more than a friend before because I'm always afraid I'll lose them, like Skye, but I felt like you're the kind of person who I could
  14. [16:20] <Celeste> trust never to disappear, not if there's any way to possibly stop it. At least, I did after a while. You're loyal, brave, and strong in the ways that actually matter to anybody with a brain. That's why I feel like I love you and why I want to be with you, not because you're just filling a lonely void. Am I?"
  15. [16:43] <Valene> And Valene listens. ...And to put it in a way that won't make Taldeer groan under pressure of sheer amounts of words, the logic holds firm. Every single bit of those 6 lines, plus a little. ...But. "...I...see. ...Yet, even though every single bit of me that I can feel wants to believe that...even if it makes no sense otherwise, I can't even trust myself to believe it until I'm absolutely sure." Nod. "And I guess I can do that by making you as honest with yourself as I was with me for a while. Just to be sure." And if she's uncomfortable with the idea, there's always plan B! ...Which is more painful!
  16. [16:46] <Celeste> "Fine. Make it so I can't lie to myself. I don't think my answer will change."
  17. [16:49] <Valene> "...Thanks." A wave of the hand, and Celeste finds it completely impossible to do such a thing...and it seems she threw in a bit that makes it impossible to lie outwardly, either. Just in case. Honest Abe mode. She probably shouldn't think too hard while in this state, either way! "...And you still feel the same way?"
  18. [16:56] <Celeste> "...Yeah, I do, but I'm also really afraid that you'll be upset for how I pretty much used you at first, before I started to really feel this way. I'm even more afraid of the idea that you don't feel the same way and I didn't become anything more than something to help you pass the time without being lonely, even if I think and really hope otherwise. Plus, I act way too immature,
  19. [16:56] <Celeste> especially when I get mad and lose my self control, even though I'm supposed to be older than you. I'm really not very good at much of anything other than stupid tasks and getting mad."
  20. [17:16] <Valene> Results. Her head isn't waved back JUST yet. "...I think I did the same thing, at least earlier, and thought I was still doing it all this time. Can't even be mad at that. ...And you spent so long looking for your sister, that you...might not actually BE as old as you are...but considering the circumstances, I guess that's OK. ...Might as well mention the fact that I'm a lolicon while I'm at it, one with a lot of self-control, and I don't seem to be good at anything that isn't drawing on that aspect of me and beating people or things up. ...And if it wasn't for that little bit, I'd probably envy you for being able to act without restraint, even if I really shouldn't. In any case, I guess we're sort of both in the same boat, then...but I guess we can both work on that, right?"
  21. [17:25] <Celeste> "Lolicon? That means you like young looking girls, right? I don't really care as long as you'd still like me the same if I had an adult body don't do something stupid and mean like cheating on me. Being stuck like this is nice sometimes, anyway, like when you carry me. It feels really safe. I'll try to be better for you, so you can try to be better for me, and I think then we'll
  22. [17:25] <Celeste> really understand what love is, even if I'm already in love as far as I can tell. It's not like I can fool myself into thinking it right now and I still think so, so I figure it's real, even if it's hard to understand one hundred percent. By the way, since I already mentioned it, I'd like it if you carried me home." That last sentence is probably a product of the complete honesty.
  23. [17:37] <Valene> Yeah, that'll do. Valene waves Celeste's mind to normal, before she says more than she can handle. "Yeah, I might be dumb, but...well, I'm completely sure you're the only person willing to do that with me, for which I'm thankful for, and even if you grew up, I'd like you all the same. ...Or love. Whichever it is." Nod. "I...feel much much more at ease now. Thanks for allaying my fears~!" Valene's spirits rise, and such is clearly visible. She's all better now! ...As well as she can be, anyway!
  24. [17:41] <Celeste> Celeste blushes; despite having regained the ability to lie, she says one more embarrassing truth, "Yeah, well, that was fun for me too, so whatever. I'm glad you'd be okay with an adult me... I guess I don't really have much reason to try to change it from how it is now, though."
  25. [18:02] <Valene> If it were possible for liquid metal to blush, she'd be blushing. ...But it's not. "Y-yeah, I like you...just the way you are, so don't change if you don't have to! ...Anyway, I guess I should probably go home and let the trouble fade away, now." Nod.
  26. [18:13] <Celeste> "Yeah, uh, let's do that. But, about what I said before..." Celeste purposefully looks down and then up to Valene, sort of like a kid asking to be picked up. None of that embarrassing arm lifting thing though.
  27. [18:15] <Valene> At once, perhaps even before she finishes the act, Celeste is swooped off her feet. She then proceeds to make the rather longish walk home.
  28. [18:17] <Celeste> How gallant~! The manner in which Valene does it definitely earns a renewed blush from Celeste as well as a very small gasp. "...Thanks."
  29. [18:32] <zoofman> BOOHISS GET A ROOOOM
  30. [18:36] <Valene> WE HAVE A ROOM TALDEER. IT'S MAGICALSEXYTIMES. YOU'RE NOT INVITED. "Anytime!" And she is gallantly carried straight to their castle-house. ...of course, the issue would be finding something to do there THAT ISN'T SEX, WE'D GET IN OUR ROOM FOR THAT TALDEER. "...maybe once we're there, we can figure out transportation in our...well, the place we experiment in. What should we call that, anyway?"
  31. [18:40] <Celeste> "Well, it's below the castle so maybe the dun-no, that's stupid. What about the Underdome or something? I don't know." Celeste is bad at this stuff. Also >implying it won't end in sex.
  32. [18:52] <Valene> "Well, I guess we can think about it later. We've got plenty of time!" It might! If it does, too bad, Valeste Sexy Time. TENTACLESSSSSSSSS. In any case, they should be there by now. Eventually, Valene does have to let Celeste go, since getting under their bed would be very hard if she still carried her. TO THE....DUNGEON, IT WORKS AS A FILLER NAME FOR NOW!
  33. [18:54] <Celeste> "...Or Room 47, because we're both from district 47." Celeste crawls under the bed, opens the hatch, and slides down the curtain. Gotta find a better way.
  34. [19:00] <Valene> "...Actually, I think that works." Nod. IT WORKS. TO ROOM 47! ...Huh. "...It does seem sort of schoolish though, but I guess we are learning in there, so it's OK anyway." Ooze under, close hatch, sliiiiiide. "And maybe we can see if we can get started with the battle simulator thing, too..."
  35. [19:05] <Celeste> "Chamber 47? Dome 47? I sorta remember the domes. Area 47?" Celeste starts off with the magneticars, round objects with a platform inside. They roll along the walls or even straight up the pole to the exit, but the inside doesn't spin. The doors open automatically and a control panel is inside.
  36. [19:21] <Valene> Chamber 47...nah. Dome 47? ...someone mentioned domes before, but that doesn't seem right. Area 47? ...TO AREA 47! That sounds a lot better! "Area 47, that sounds better~" Valene is sure to test them, so they don't break on any paths or anything. Go in, see how it works, so on, so forth.
  37. [19:22] <Celeste> A couple times they get stuck trying to switch from wall to floor, but for the most part it works! "What did you want to build?"
  38. [19:30] <Valene> ...She already said this. Ah well, she was probably too quiet when she said it anyway. And...well, at least they didn't fall. That'd have been...something. "I was gonna work on the battle simulating thing. Might not finish it all in one go, but I've gotta start sometime!"
  39. [19:34] <Celeste> Oh, what she wanted to build was already known, it was more of a way of saying she was ready to work on Valene's project than anything else. "That's smart, I'll be able to get way stronger and catch up with you. What can I do to help you make it?" Eager to assist.
  40. [19:44] <Valene> "Hmmm...well, if it's gonna run, we gotta figure out what info to put in the thing. All the...combat data. Yeah, that sounds right."
  41. [19:45] <Celeste> "...That sounds like math." Eagerness level dropping to 50%.
  42. [19:56] <Valene> "...It...will probably involve a lot of numbers. ...I guess I'll take care of the numbers later. But there's gotta be other parts that don't involve those...maybe the actual simulated enviroment itself? Still gotta figure out this whole ...VR, AR, whichever it's called. If we don't know how to attach the people to the numbers, there's no point in doing the boring work." Nod nod. "And then, we figure out how to make it into a fitting battlefield or something."
  43. [20:05] <Celeste> Math? Celeste doesn't like math terribly. It's not that she's naturally bad, rather, she was actually pretty good at it. Like twelve years ago. "...Okay. No problem, I'll draw up some incredible battlefields." She summons up a pen and paper and gets to work, working away with great speed. She blocks everything out.
  44. [20:09] <Celeste> (It's even a fancy multicolor pen~)
  45. [20:15] <Valene> "And...I guess I'll figure out these numbers, then." It's painful, but SOMEONE has to do the boring work. And that someone will be her. BRAVELY MARCHING INTO WORK, while Celeste takes care of the creative side. ...Thankfully, Valene has magic to help her out. You have no idea how well absorption can work for weird tasks like this. None at all.
  46. [20:18] <Celeste> Valene could probably personality manipulate herself into being a math freak. In the meantime, Celeste breaks out into a huge grin and proudly holds up her drawing. "Is this amazing or what? I got the idea from Princess Dog." She's beaming with pride at her creation.
  47. [20:18] <Celeste> http://img689.imageshack.us/img689/3048/thelaststopstage.jpg
  48. [20:29] <Valene> That too. She really could do that. And look at it.....eehhhh...mmmmm. Hmmmmmmmm. "..." ... "....Well, it's an OK rough draft. I guess we could touch it up once we get it all 3D and stuff." Nod nod. That's totally possible!
  49. [20:32] <Celeste> "...Are you disappointed? I thought I made something pretty good."
  50. [20:41] <Valene> "Well, a bit. But hey, a start is a start, everything can't be just right in a few minutes. The road to good work is paved in...not good work. But even the not good work can still be made into something good with more put into it." Nod nod.
  51. [20:42] <Celeste> "Hmph. I'll make something twice as good next." Back to the drawing pad. Literally.
  52. [20:44] <Valene> And back to the numbers! Gotta account for as much everything as possible. ...You know, Taldeer would really help here. Combat data is practically a character sheet's combat related stuff. But, she'll just have to figure out what to fill in in the first place the hard way.
  53. [20:49] <Celeste> Celeste defiantly holds up her next drawing. This one's a creative masterpiece. "This one's awesome. Look."
  54. [20:49] <Celeste> http://img641.imageshack.us/img641/77/castledefender.jpg
  55. [21:04] <Valene> ...IT HURRRTS. OK, the other one could be worked with. This...on trying to work with it, she has a completely different idea. But as is, how would that even work? "...OK, it hurts to be this honest, but I've gotta. ...You're like, probably gonna have to take an art class." ...This is hard to do, ;_;. "...I did get a different idea from that, though, so it definitely wasn't a waste!"
  56. [21:08] <Celeste> "You got an idea? What was i-wait a second!" Crestfallen fauxli, "Have to take an art class? ...D-doesn't that mean I'm bad? My sisters always told me that my art was unique and... Maybe they didn't use the word good... But you could teach me or something, right? I don't want to go to some stupid art class."
  57. [21:23] <Valene> "Hm..." Sadly, the local doujin writer is probably infinitely more likely to be Triple-S. She can't draw that well. "...That'd be handy if I could actually draw. ...I guess it'd probably be easier to just shamelessly rip things from video games or something." Or work with terrible drawings. ...Or enlist Alicia. ...Nah. Sigh. Valene is a bit crestfallen herself. STILL, THEY'RE GOING TO MAKE THIS WORK. "...If I can finish up these numbers fast enough, it'd be pretty easy to let you help by actually testing the simulation thing itself." Nod nod.
  58. [21:24] <Valene> "...Mrrn was pretty good at drawing, though..." Hum.
  59. [21:27] <Celeste> "She'll teach me, then!" Celeste flops against the liquid metal, "Sorry I can't help more, but I'm just going to take a small nap. Wake me up when you get tired of working on it or finish the numbers." With her eyes closed, she'll be asleep in moments if not stopped.
  60. [21:31] <Valene> "Will do~" And if she's still against the liquid metal, it gets cushy. Perhaps in moments, she'll have it as a layer of blanket. For now, Valene...well, works on the numbers. There's a lot of numbers. And maybe that other idea, too.
  61. [21:32] <Valene> ...and if she's still sleeping by then, maybe she'll get the thing that lets them experience said battle simulating ready. Fun times~
  62. [21:34] <Celeste> She definitely is. That's why she flopped into her, after all. Celeste's capacity for sleeping is impressive though. She can manage to quietly sleepmumble about white chocolate for as long as Valene works. Will she have a sudden epiphany in her dream and become a non-horrible artist? Haha, no.
  63. [21:44] <Valene> The >> button is pushed. TWO MONTHS LATER--no. Valene realizes that she could MAKE HERSELF into a number machine, and thus did so. She worked like hell--and totally fed Celeste a piece of conjured up white chocolate, since she couldn't actually make the normal stuff. As such, it's not actually that long. But with a few more equations and such, a holoscreen thing is produced that has the numbers and pretty much damn near everything, including the battle data of both Valene and Celeste, along with some tests custom-made with the numbers. It's the beta! Then, she fixes herself to be normal-feeling again. "F-finally!" It's said loudly enough to wake someone up, probably. If anything, she sounds incredibly relieved that THAT is now out of the way. And maybe a bit exhausted.
  64. [21:49] <Celeste> "Uhnn, whatsat Nene..." Celeste starts to return to lucidity. It's not until a moment or two later that she realizes the nickname she accidentally invented/used while still half asleep. She sheepishly asks, "So... it's done? Good job!"
  65. [22:00] <Valene> "...Yeah, after all that, I finished. And I'm definitely too exhausted to test-run it myself, so I'm definitely leaving that to you! So, let's see here..." And the holo-screen is tap-tap-tapped on (an intentive watcher can see several things that look like names, along with a Valene and Celeste), and a fancy throne is produced, along with a sort of...let's go with 'helmet thing', that at least has both of Celeste's colors in there. "OK, all you have to do is sit in that chair and wear the helmet, wait a while, and everything should start working! ...the helmet may look sort of bulky, and wear sort of bulky, but you won't notice that when the simulation kicks in!"
  66. [22:03] <Celeste> Valene's getting teased, "Huh, I hope this works. Can you imagine how horrible you'd feel if it didn't work and just blew up?" Time to hop in and strap up to the helmet, "This thing's kind of heavy on my head. Can you turn it on?" Celeste is getting pretty hyped.
  67. [22:14] <Valene> "I-I'm sure it won't blow up!" She worked THAT HARD, and if it just blows Celeste's head up, she'd die. Both of them. ...OK, Celeste might live, but it'd be death worthy. AND SHE'D HAVE AVOIDED IT IF SHE TESTED IT. "Will do! ...You'll stop noticing things from here, so I'll talk through there. If you want to stop experiencing it in case of a bug or something, just think really hard about getting out of it and it should work!" Check check check...."3, 2, 1, Gooo--" Flip. Celeste experiences the blackness for all of a split second before there's a cute 'now loading' thing in the corner of her new vision, which is a lot like her normal vision, because that's what it is now. THAT only lasts for like one or two seconds, where Celeste then finds herself in an entirely new enviroment. It's...pretty blue. It's a large, square grid made of large...squares, that continues on for a while before ending in walls that are much like the floor itself, going only as high as a single one of the squares. They're slightly taller than Celeste is. And after a few MORE seconds, Valene's head pops up on a screen, somewhat close to her. "OK, you seem to have gotten in fine~"
  68. [22:18] <Celeste> Celeste experiments with jumping and moving her body around, "So... this isn't really me, just a representation or something? Is my body asleep back there? What are the rules in here?"
  69. [22:24] <Valene> "Yeah, it is. I'm still awake, and we're in a secret place, so it should be fine for you to be like that. If you're disturbed on that chair or the helmet is removed, it'll break the connection after a warning, the warning is so you don't accidentally flail out and hit someone if they do that. ...OK, movement seems to work fine! And the rules...well, I pretty much define the rules, since I'm managing everything right now. I made a representation of you and got it as accurate as I possibly could, so you should be able to do everything that...well, you can do. I don't have anything for you to Command here yet, so try using your Veil magic to see if I got it right!"
  70. [22:25] <Valene> Celeste may become aware that she can see Valene's text in words, too. Huh.
  71. [22:28] <Celeste> Weeeeeeeird. "This is pretty crisp. I bet I'll get really strong in here, so let's see..." Celeste attempts to whip up a large, shimmering golden veil-shield in front of herself. There's no attack to block, but it should be a good test. While she's at it, she mentally concentrates on the word TEST to see if she can braintype or something.
  72. [22:36] <Valene> And sure enough, a large, shimmering golden veil-shield comes up! "Good, good, I was worried I got that part wrong~" And Celeste's thoughts, concentrated in such a manner, with every intent to braintype, actually do come up as a dialogue box over her head. Of course, she can't see that, so she sees it on the top of her vision (no matter how much she looks up). "Oh, you even tried that. Was gonna make you test that next, but I see it's working fine~ Now let's see..." ... And in the middle of the grid-field, a weird, blue technoball that looks vaguely like a Pokeball on its side materializes. It floats around, eyeing Celeste with a white gaze. "OK, next test. Attack it!"
  73. [22:40] <Celeste> "...Why do I feel like this thing wants to catch me? Counter offensive!" Celeste sticks her arm forward and attempts to summon a veil to constrict and smash the blue ball.
  74. [22:47] <Valene> "Must be your imagination." The ball makes no attempt to get out of the way, and is crushed by the veil. At least, as crushed as it can actually get. Any dents and damages after the ball is released are healed instantanously, and it shows the numbers 'Speed: 15, Damage: 14' on it's white 'eye'. "OK, damage system works. Next..." ... The ball changes it's white gaze to a blue one. "OK, now try again. It'll attempt to get out of the way this time, and unless you aim REALLY well, it'll probably succeed. Good luck!"
  75. [22:53] <Celeste> A veil flows out of the air an inch from the tip of Celeste's fingers; it chases after the ball!
  76. [22:57] <Valene> The ball leads it on, it even barely manages to graze it's personal space. You can pretty much see a spark! ...But it gets out of the way anyway, with a blinding speed. The values display on it's blue eye as follows. Target Speed: 26/5/3. Residue: 3. Damage: MISS. Own Speed: 26/5/5. Residue: 1.
  77. [23:00] <Valene> "As fast as I made it. That was something to see! Next..." ...The ball's eye changes to red. "Tell me when you're ready, this thing is gonna open fire on the word G--whoa, almost said it. Yeah, that word. Don't say it yet."
  78. [23:00] <Celeste> "Ready."
  79. [23:02] <Valene> "Laser bullets are fast. Be careful, GO!" The ball begins opening fire at once!
  80. [23:04] <Celeste> Celeste tries to backflip out of the way. Why not? It's a sim, after all!
  81. [23:07] <Valene> As much as she'd like for that to have worked, it didn't quite work. On the bright side, it merely grazes! Despite it being a sim, it hurts! Just about...half as much as you'd think that laser bullet would have hurt? In terms of pain anyway, she feels exactly as worn out as she should be.
  82. [23:09] <Celeste> "Oww! That stings, why didn't you tell me about that?" Celeste crosses her arms and pouts.
  83. [23:12] <Valene> And the eye displays its totals again. Own Speed: 24. Target Speed: 22. Residue: 1. Damage: 9. "S-sorry! I guess I should have. But, it didn't hurt as much as you'd think it would have at least, right?"
  84. [23:13] <Celeste> "I guess not, I was expecting it to just tickle or something."
  85. [23:16] <Valene> "Well, I can make it like that. But I figure I'd code pain in here anyway, just in case someone would rather have it being a bit more realistic or something. And that worked, apparently! Now..." A second ball is produced, a few meters away from the red-eyed one. This one's eye is purple! "OK, try Commanding the red one to attack the purple one! It should work if you put any effort, so don't try too hard, now~"
  86. [23:17] <Celeste> Celeset turns to the red ball and stands up straight, "Ahem! I order you to strike this purple ball!"
  87. [23:18] <Valene> It's not like the ball can resist, it wasn't programmed for this kind of treatment! It fires at the purple ball.
  88. [23:24] <Valene> The purple ball can't dodge it, it wasn't programmed for this kind of treatment! It's blasted to bits--that quickly right themselves. The red one seems to go over attack values, while the purple one goes through the other bits. [Red Speed: 23. Damage: 19.] [Target's Effect: 13. Red Resist: N/A.]
  89. [23:24] <Celeste> "Hmph. That'll show those stupid balls!"
  90. [23:27] <Valene> "There we go, I think that's everything that has easy testing! Let me fix you up..." Celeste feels unworn out! "You want a fight against something I crafted in here now, or you ready for a break?"
  91. [23:28] <Celeste> "Bring it, I'll give you plenty of good data~" Celeste stretches her arms through windmill circles."
  92. [23:36] <Valene> "OK, here we go then. Good luck, give it no quarter!" Both of the balls disappear, and a small countdown begins on the corner of Celeste's vision, counting 5.00 to 0.00 in a timely fashion, as a circle appears near where the balls were. This would be the time to get into position, for soon a large, blue wasp/bee flies there, looking at Celeste with a gaze befitting it's name, displayed over it's head. 'INSANITY'. In all caps.
  93. [23:39] <Valene> The bee/wasp thing makes no time in rushing over to stabstabstab Celeste with it's stinger.
  94. [23:40] <Celeste> Celeste attempts to sidestep the jerknerd beewasp.
  95. [23:41] <Valene> STABSTABSTAB. It grazes Celeste as she sidesteps, inflicting a minor wound.
  96. [23:43] <Celeste> It might catch her with a sting, but while it's in close quarters, she opens up a veil that unleashes a blast of energy from the other side, "Fall, insect!"
  97. [23:45] <Valene> It's far too focused on blitzing Celeste to notice her counter attack, and it's swatted a good distance! ...Doesn't stop it from getting back up, though. It's buzzing is noticably weaker. Yes, it buzzes.
  98. [23:47] <Valene> And the buzzing gets very close. It rushes towards her, draws back the stinger...
  99. [00:49] <Celeste> Golden veil shield! Knew practicing that move would pay off.
  100. [00:51] <Valene> It then proceeds to stab at everywhere Celeste could possibly move, followed by a barrier shattering BREAK where she is. It pierces the shield and impacts Celeste despite her SUCCEEDING a defense.
  101. [00:51] <Celeste> "What!?" ;_;
  102. [00:52] <Valene> "Just as planned! ...Erm, go get it, Celeste!"
  103. [00:54] <Celeste> Celeste opens a veil portal about the size of her body. A giant fist reaches out to punch the bee.
  104. [00:56] <Valene> The bee is PUNCHED! ...And it weakly buzzes off the ground...and charges at Celeste once more, drawing back it's stinger...
  105. [00:57] <Celeste> Celeste tries to stare down the bee, but she squeaks and flinches at the last minute, cowering down in front of the monster.
  106. [00:58] <Valene> And proceeds to sting everywhere but where Celeste is...as she wasn't in a position to dodge, she isn't hit by those. However, not being prepared to block as well, it leaves her in a postion where if she ACTUALLY PAYS ATTENTION, maybe she can get out of the way of the BREAK!
  107. [01:04] <Celeste> Weird. Celeste had finally just shielded herself with her arms and closed her eyes but nothing caught her. Welp, second chance sounds fine; Celeste summons a veil into the air, then grabs it and twists it into a whip. She cracks it at the bee!
  108. [01:07] <Valene> "Just as coded." Or, she can hit it. That works too! The bee is sent back by getting whipped into shape, where it proceeds to buzz up again...before falling, and fading away.
  109. [01:08] <Celeste> "Ha! That was... Kinda hard..."
  110. [01:13] <Valene> "Yeah, it was a tough one. I gave it a method of cracking defenses, but it can't work they simply don't defend well enough. Wonder if I could make one of those in the actual Scape...anyway, fix you up..." Celeste feels restored! "And you ready for a break now? I'm exhausted from all this number checking, so I'll be taking a break with you."
  111. [01:24] <Celeste> "...Yeah, I've had enough for now."
  112. [01:27] <Valene> "OK, then just will yourself out, and you'll be out~" Valene hopes this works. Trapping Celeste's mind is the last thing she wants to do. ...Or at least really close to it. ...And it does, because Valene quintriple-checked it.
  113. [01:51] <Celeste> Celeste tries to exit the battlesim program, "That was weird."
  114. IT WORKED, THEN EVERYONE FELL ASLEEP BACK UPSTAIRS
  115. THE END
