- Dowsing Machine: This high-tech machine shows the location of invisible items. It’s attached to the head when in use.
- Updated Item Descriptions:
- Mental Herb: An item to be held by a Pokémon. The holder shakes off move-binding effects to move freely. It can be used only once.
- Updated Move Descriptions:
- Flash: The user flashes a bright light that cuts the target’s accuracy. It can also be used to illuminate dark caves.
- Facade: An attack move that doubles its power if the user is poisoned, is burned, or has paralysis.
- Rock Smash: The user attacks with a punch. This may also lower the target’s Defense stat. This move can also shatter rocks in the field.
- Secret Power: An attack whose additional effects depend upon where it was used. Can also be used to make a Secret Base.
- Dive: Diving on the first turn, the user floats up and attacks on the next turn. It can be used to dive deep in the ocean.
- Metal Burst: The user retaliates with much greater power against the opponent that last inflicted damage on it.
- Chatter: The user attacks the target with sound waves of deafening chatter. This confuses the target.
- New Move Descriptions:
- Origin Pulse: The user attacks opposing Pokémon with countless beams of light that glow a deep and brilliant blue.
- Precipice Blades: The user attacks opposing Pokémon by manifesting the power of the land in fearsome blades of stone.
- Dragon Ascent: After soaring upward, the user attacks its target by dropping out of the sky at high speeds, although it lowers its own Defense and Sp. Def in the process.
- Hyperspace Fury: Using its many arms, the user unleashes a barrage of attacks that ignore the effects of moves like Protect and Detect. This attack lowers the user’s Defense.
- Ability Description Changes:
- Flash Fire (was a typo): Powers up the Pokémon’s Fire-type moves if it’s hit by one.
- No Guard: Ensures that attacks by or against the Pokémon will land.
- Multiscale: Reduces the damage taken by the Pokémon when its HP is full.
- Primordial Sea: Affects weather and nullifies any Fire-type attacks.
- Desolate Land: Affects weather and nullifies any Water-type attacks.
- Delta Stream: Affects weather and eliminates all of the Flying type’s weaknesses.
