  1. Greetings.
  2.
  3. My name is Alexander. I am twenty years old and I live in Serbia. Yeah, that's right, same nationality as Niko Bellic. Doubt that's gonna mean much, but hey, there you go.
  4.
  5. I am a PC gamer. I have basically grown up alongside Grand Theft Auto. Mostly through my very early teen years. GTA III, Vice City, San Andreas. All of 'em. All 3 games were huge favorites among myself and a lot of my friends.
  6.
  7. Each time I'd wait for the PC version, too. Not because I was stubborn or refused to buy it on a console, no. But because I never knew any better. All I had was my PC, my keyboard and mouse. I was too ignorant of anything else to try out a Playstation or an Xbox.
  8.
  9. And so I waited for each PC release with anticipation, played each and got into a tiny little bit of modding. Didn't make any mods so I wasn't a "modder" per se, but I enjoyed modding my game with mods created by the amazing PC community.
  10.
  11. Soon enough, I joined that community. Anonymously. I was too shy or too uncomfortable to register on the forums, but I always watched. I always kind of "participated" in all the happenings.
  12.
  13. Then, after many years of games evolving and the generation pushing forward, GTA IV was announced. Everyone was extremely excited, everyone jumped up in joy and awaited the release with infinite, uncontrollable joy.
  14.
  15. The delay that happened only made people more excited. Pushed the hype to a fever pitch.
  16.
  17. And then, it finally came out. Grand Theft Auto IV was released on the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. No word on the PC version, not even talks of it anywhere. Threads opened up on fan forums, speculating and investigating, waiting and anticipating.
  18.
  19. Months passed, and then it finally came; the PC version announcement. The PC community of GTA; the modders, the mod users, everyone. They all jumped up in collective joy and celebrated the fact that the wait was finally over (And that they'd be getting special features, as well. Video editor, custom radio and so on).
  20.
  21. And now, five years later, here we are again. Grand Theft Auto V released on the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 just a mere month ago, and already the wait is hard.
  22.
  23. To this day, myself and a lot of my fellow communtiy members at GTAForums.com, a GTA fan website, sit in a thread spanning hundreds of pages. We talk among eachother and speculate. We investigate. Just like all the GTA PC fans before us, with GTA IV.
  24.
  25. We have found evidence. Almost irrefutable evidence. Evidence that clearly states that there is a PC build of Grand Theft Auto 5 in existence. In physical form.
  26.
  27. Need I mention it? I suppose I should. In detail.
  28.
  29. Leaked PC build logs deep from within Grand Theft Auto 5's code. Bug reports indicating a clear existence of a PC version;

  33. The following lines indicate the existence of a PC version;

  53. There is much, much more. But I will not list it for the sake of this email.
  54.
  55. I do not know who is going to be reading this or if you'll even care. You will probably discard this email as a futile, pathetic attempt at "emotionally moving" someone into saying something. I just really want you to understand our situation. The situation of the PC community. We are up in arms here. But if you could give us ANYTHING, a mere inkling, an insanely tiny hint or ambiguous tease that the PC version announcement is coming at any point in time, we would all collectively thank you infinitely for this. A shred of hope is all we ask for amidst all the silence.
  56.
  57. I do not know if you are under a certain NDA, I do not know what transpires within your company. But maybe, just maybe, you can throw us a bone here. Because we are starving, and soon enough, you won't have a dog left to feed. Know what I mean here?
  58.
  59. Thank you for taking the time to read all of this, if you even have. I beg of you not to use an automated response to respond to me. But explain to me in your own words whatever you would like to say.
  60.
  61. Thanks again.
  62.
  63. -Alexander
