  1. Huckebein problem: All the facts
  2.
  3.
  4. ============================================================
  5.
  6.
  7. 2006: When Divine Wars the TV series was confirmed, someone posted the following on 2channel
  8.
  9. -The Huckebeins won't be in the show.
  10. -This is because Sotsu/Sunrise are complaining that they resemble Gundams too much.
  11. -Terada tried to talk to them, but Sunrise threatened him saying that if they want Huckebeins in the show they won't have Gundams in SRW ever again
  12. -Sunrise said they're fine with them in the games, but just don't want them on TV
  13. -The staff are very troubled over this and are wondering what to do with Bullet
  14.
  15. This same person also suggested that the two Astranagants would show up in the first episode.
  16.
  17. After the first episode aired, there was another post saying that they paid Sunrise (as in literally forked out cash) to get permission to have a Huckebein show up in one of Rai's flashbacks. This really happened in episode 3.
  18.
  19. Obviously, this proves that this anonymous poster was legit.
  20.
  21. ============================================================
  22.
  23. After that:
  24.
  25. OGs PV- Versions allowed to be displayed in shops had all Huckebeins removed.
  26.
  27. Kits- One month before the Mk II and Boxer went on sale, it was announced that they would be a limited release (first print only, no further batches), and that all other Huckebein kits on sale would also be out of production.
  28.
  29. Usually when something this big happens there will of course be an announcement, but there wasn't at all. Also left on Supalog (2007) was a message about "the thing that everything is asking about", saying that they at the time could not say anything at all, suggesting pressure from an outside source.

  31.
  32.
  33. In 2009, the tankoubon of Gemaga's Secret Hanger (compilation of SRW stuff from the magazine) had the illustrations of the Mk-II Trombe removed, and though the name could still be seen in various media, the Huckebein itself was not seen at all (comics and so on included).
  34.
  35. In 2010's The Inspectors, the story was changed at the series composition level to remove the Huckebeins entirely, and in exchange some new robots were introduced.
  36.
  37. And then in 2012 came OG II where all the Huckebeins were destroyed, save for the Exbein which was one of the replacements introduced in The Inspectors.
  38.
  39.
  40.
  41. ============================================================
  42.
  43.
  44.
  45. Changes:
  46. OGs- Huckebeins removed from PVs screened in stores, the Mk III and Boxer had pages on the site but before the game went on sale said pages were removed, the pre-order bonus SRW OG Official Perfect File had pictures of most of the robots... except for all the Huckebeins, and in strategy guides while other robots got art, the Huckebeins did not have any at all
  47.
  48. Divine Wars-
  49. 008R can be seen only briefly in Rai's flashback.
  50. The Grungast instead of 009 is sent to the Hagane for Irm's use.
  51. Bullet does not switch from his Gespenst, and eventually gets a Grungast instead.
  52. Elzam does not use the Mk-II Trombe, instead keeping his Guarlion Trombe.
  53.
  54. In Record of ATX, a Mk-II can be seen with its eyes censored in one of Marion's flashbacks, and from then on it is never seen and barely heard of.
  55.
  56. The Inspectors-
  57. MP Huckebein Mk IIs are replaced with MP Wildschweins. Likewise, Bullet uses an MP Wildschwein instead of an MP Mk II.
  58. In episode 7, Ryouto does not even use the word "Huckebein", instead referring to the "Mk III"'s development as being cancelled. In episode 8 the Inspectors do ask for the Huckebein, but the 008L and Mk III L are not there, and Ryouto uses the Exbein, a modified 009, which has an entirely different face (no V antennae, SRX-like visor).
  59. Elzam uses the Guarbain Mk III Trombe.
  60. Though the Belgelmirs were originally MP Mk IIs, in the show what they were made from is never mentioned at all.
  61.
  62. Others-
  63. After 2006, aside from MP Mk IIs and Belgelmirs and such which have totally different heads, Huckebeins cannot be seen in any comics aside from a few exceptions.
  64.
  65. In the DS and PSP versions of Masoukishin, and Masoukishin 2, the Duraxyl's design is changed so that it no longer has a Huckebein-like face.
  66.
  67. Since December 2006, all of Kotobukiya's Huckebein kits have been out of print, and there are no further plans to make any kits of other Huckebeins.
  68.
  69. Dengeki Hobby Magazine has surveys on what magazine-exclusive action figures the readers would like to see reprints of, but the Huckebeins only are removed from the choices.
  70.
  71. Volks had been selling garage kits of Huckebeins on their site, but since December 2006 has no longer been doing so.
  72.

  135. REGARDING THE TROLL ON /m/
  136.
  137. There's one idiot, sometimes as anon, sometimes as Kamille !!ID1e4qu9MWW (You can identify him by how he's clearly not a native English speaker), who keeps going on about how the facts here are "debunked"
  138.
  139. Since he won't shut up we'll address his bullshit here
  140.
  141. >HUR THE HUCKEBEINS WERE IN DW AND IN
  142. Missing the entire point, in both cases they messed up its face.
  143.
  144. >THE KITS WERE LIMITED RELEASES BAW
  145. Only the 1/144 Mk II and Boxer were limited releases, and that was announced AFTER the whole problem blew up in 2006 (they were originally scheduled as regular releases)
  146. All the other Huckebein kits were regular releases (the original was actually the original first kit in the regular SRW kit series).
  147. Also, all the Huckebeins were later removed from the website completely. http://main.kotobukiya.co.jp/pkOthers_srw/
  148.
  149. >BAWWWW 2CHAN IS LIARS
  150. All of the above is verifiable (easily) independently of 2channel.
  151.
  152.
  153. >STOP POSTING THIS COPYPASTA ITS DEBUNKED
  154. Never happened.
