- o Orders are received between 8am and 12:30pm each day via phone, emails and verbal conversations.

- Dealer name and address
- Dealer code number (3 digits)
- Delivery address
- Part number and order quantity
- o Order is received and a RMC product number is then assigned
- o A dispatch instruction sheet (DIC) is raised for each order and a detail sheet (DID) for each item within that order.
- o A check is performed to make sure back orders have been completed.
- o The DID’s are then sorted into part number orders for each dealer, prior to being sent to the spare part store.
- • How pricing is tracked

- • Efficient order system
- o Utilise a standardised order format
- o Preferably electronic presence
- • Working stock control system.
- • Efficient employee tracking system

- o Include spare part location

- o Would be handled automatically if orders, invoices and stock control are handled electronically
- • Improved variation in dealer codes
- o Current format is 3 digits, allows for maximum 999 dealers.
- - Current System Flaws

- • No ways to order parts of any kind online. All orders both internal and external need to be made via phone or email.

- o Current stock management system is inherently flawed and cannot maintain correct data that’s entered into it.

- • A greater variety in dealer code numbers is required
- o Current system only allows for upto 3 digits.
- • No way to locate spare parts apparent on DID sheets.
