- >Team RNJR arrives at the nearest Dust-Mart
- >The bad weather made them rethink their whole camping plans
- >They needed better tents since Ruby's got destroyed
- >And Pyrrha's was broken before the storm even arrived...
- >Nora dragged Ren off to find snacks
- >Jaune, Pyrrha and Ruby were left to decide on what tent to buy
- >Jaune led the way to the camping section of the store while Pyrrha was looming over him
- >Ruby was following them at a decent distance
- >There were plenty of tents that could fit one person
- >A certain tent caught Pyrrha's eye
- >"How about this one?"
- >Ruby turned away from the small tents to see a much larger one
- >It looked like it could easily fit 6 people
- >"Please no" Ruby whispered to herself
- >Lucky for her, Jaune seemed unsure about the big tent
- >"Its probably expensive Pyrrha.. Are you sure?"
- >"Nonsense! Its big enough for all three of us and its 50% off"
- >"Well when you put it that way..."
- >Ruby gulped
- >Jaune and Pyrrha hauled the large tent bag to the front of the store to checkout
- >Ruby walked out the front of the store to wait with Ren and Nora
- >Nora was bouncing up and down with varying boxes of snacks
- >Ren has just bought some ingredients for tea
- >It was almost nightfall
- >Ruby was still trying to think of a plan to survive the night and anything that could go wrong
- >She had only a few hours
- >It was time for camp
- >Pyrrha insisted that she set up the new tent
- >Ren and Nora set up their two tents beside each other
- >Jaune went off to get firewood with Ruby
- >Pyrrha seemed to have no issue with this before they left
- >As the duo gathered firewood, Ruby couldn't shake the feeling that she was going to be bushwhacked the moment Jaune turned his back
- >Pyrrha never showed up
- >The two got back to the campsite
- >The other 3 were just sitting about
- >Pyrrha was happy to see Jaune back
- >Ruby had noticed that all her belongings were missing along with Jaune and Pyrrhas
- >She was hoped Pyrrha didn't "accidentally" drop them into the lake
- >Pyrrha broke the silence
- >"I set the tent up"
- >Ren and Nora remained on their log while the trio walked into the tent
- >All of Ruby's belongings were neatly unpacked on the far side of the tent
- >Pyrrha and Jaune's stuff was mixed at the on the opposite side
- >Their sleeping bags were so close that they were touching
- >Ruby was relieved that she didn't have to sleep so close to Pyrrha
- >Pyrrha also liked the idea
- >Jaune didn't question any of it
- >Ruby went to look over her stuff to make sure her weapon wasn't severely jammed
- >"Very nice job Pyrrha, you unpacked everything too!" Jaune said before walking out of the tent
- >"Thank you Jaune, I like to make sure we are well taken care of"
- >Ruby sneered at Pyrrha's comment
- >Ren and Nora had started a fire
- >It was already dark
- >Ruby had decided to look around inside the tent some more
- >Have to make sure there wasn't anything that could cause a freak accident and end up with her falling onto Jaune or any of his stuff
- >Her hazard search was cut short of Jaune's voice
- >"Dinner is ready!"
- >Jaune made more soup like last time
- >Pyrrha was taking her time enjoying it
- >She could REALLY tell Pyrrha was enjoying it
- >Ren and Nora were the first to finish
- >The soup was a lot better than last time
- >Good enough to pull Ruby from her thoughts
- >"This is really good Jaune!"
- >Pyrrha's trance was broke
- >"Jaune, your soup is honestly the best I have ever had. You're an amazing cook!"
- >Pyrrha's compliment was spoken the instant Ruby finished hers
- >"Thanks Pyrrha" Jaune responded with a smile
- >Pyrrha eagerly returned the smile
- >Ruby sighed
- >Nora and Ren had left the fire to go to bed
- >Pyrrha had managed to slowly scoot herself right up against Jaune without him noticing
- >Ruby decided that she should go to bed to give Pyrrha time with Jaune
- >Ruby crawled under the covers on her side of the tent
- >Pyrrha had set everything up pretty well
- >She was surprised she didn't mess with any of her stuff
- >Maybe she was just being paranoid
- >She heard the entrance of the tent unzip as Jaune and Pyrrha walked in
- >Ruby was facing away from the two
- >She heard a sleeping back rustling and Jaune exhaling
- >Out of the corner of her eye she could barely make out Pyrrha
- >She was standing in the middle of the tent with her eyes locked right onto Ruby
- >Making sure she was passed out no doubt
- >Pyrrha turned to get into her sleeping bag next to Jaune
- >She muttered something about being cold
- >About 10 minutes later Ruby rolled over
- >Their sleeping bags were unzipped to act like blankets and they were sleeping together
- >Pyrrha had Jaune completely locked up in her limbs
- >Ruby passed out
- >She woke up and looked around for her water bottle
- >She must have left it out by the fire pit
- >It was still night by the looks of it
- >The inside of the tent was an inky black
- >She crept out of her sleeping bag and began to slowly through the shroud
- >'Good thing I made sure the floor was clear' she thought to herself
- >She bumped into something very sturdy and jumped back
- >She tried to focus at what she walked into
- >Whatever it was, it gave absolutely no ground when she bumped into it
- >It also blended into the darkness rather well
- >As her eyes scanned higher up she could notice a faint shade of red
- >And two faint green specs
- >'Of course'
- >"I-I was just going to get some water from outside" She said as she tried to walk past
- >Pyrrha's hand firmly stopped her
- >Pyrrha's other hand held up a full cup of water
- >"Umm thank you.."
- >Pyrrha hadn't moved an inch
- >Was she wearing armor?
- >Ruby started to drink the water as her eyes adjusted to the darkness
- >Yup, she was wearing armor
- >Her weapons were no where to be seen luckily
- >Or it could be the opposite of lucky
- >Whether on purpose or not she happened to be completely blocking Jaune from view
- >Ruby finished her water "T-thanks, I'm going back to bed now" she said as she awkwardly pointed to her sleeping bag
- >Pyrrha's eyes didn't move at all
- >'Right, that's not creepy'
- >Ruby crawled back into her sleeping bag
- >Pyrrha stood over her for a moment before walking back over to her bed with Jaune
- >Ruby opened her eyes to see the duo locked up together once again
- >How Jaune could stay passed out while Pyrrha grappled him was unbelievable
- >Things seemed to be going much better that Ruby had expected
- >Maybe sharing a tent wasn't so bad
- >Then it happened
- >Ruby's scroll beeped
- >Her arms flew out of the sleeping bag and yanked the scroll in
- >She frantically hit buttons to turn the sound off
- >Pyrrha began to slowly rise
- >After opening up the web browser twice, Ruby made it stop
- >It was a message from Pyrrha
- >From four hours ago...
- >She only received it now
- >Ruby squinted as she tried to read it
- >The sudden light was hard on the eyes
- >"Ruby. Make sure you disable your ringer. -Pyrrha"
- >The scroll slightly shifted
- >Ruby tapped the power button to shut the light off
- >The scroll jerked upwards and hit her right in the nose
- >Ruby curled up and buried her face into the blanket
- >And it was going so well too..
