- >Day 1 in Equestria
- >You groan as you feel yourself come to, attempting to lift your body from the ground.
- >Your muscles scream to cease and desist.
- >Unwilling to comply completely, you manage to roll yourself over before giving in to their demands.
- >The sun rose over the horizon between the trees as you breathed slowly, each draw bringing aches to your senses.
- >Where are you?
- >Turning your head left and then right, you realized you're laying on grass in the middle of a forest.
- >A strange place to be, considering you don't remember drinking excessively enough to have this happen.
- >If that was the reason at all, your mind was in as much pain as your body.
- >Surely felt like one hell of a hangover.
- >You continue to slowly ponder your situation for the next several minutes, praying the pain would dull.
- >Probably looked like one hell of an appetizer for any woodland creature large enough.
- >The chain armor that you are clad in probably didn't help much, but it was easier just to allow it to stay then try to remove it.
- >Hours passed and when the aches had subsided, you decide to rise from the ground slowly.
- >Turning your head, you see your quarterstaff was laying not to far from where you were, which you promptly pick up.
- >Not a good idea to be defenseless right now.
- >Suddenly something struck your back, a light tap that almost didn't catch your attention.
- >Turning in confusion, you come face to face with a rabbit.
- >Half a carrot rolling away from your direction.
- >Except this rabbit didn't look at all like what you were use to seeing.
- >It sat there, its beady eyes glaring at you with its tiny arms crossed across his chest, as if in impatience.
- >What the hell was in that ale?!
- First I wake up in a forest and now I think I'm being assaulted by woodland critters? Whats next?
- >Suddenly a female voice pierced the silence.
- >"Angel! Angel, where did you run off to?!"
- >Finally! Someone to help you figure out where you were!
- >The rabbit seemed to take interest in the voice as well, unfolding its arm and looking back towards its source.
- >"Angel! Ange-"
- Hello? Can you assist a lost traveler?
- >Your voice seemed to startle the speaker, but she sounded close at least.
- >The bushes rustled nearby and you turn to meet the speaker, you hoped at least.
- Thank the Light, I thought I would be lo-
- >This time it was your turn to be startled.
- >Instead of a woman, a yellow coated miniature horse appeared, with a mane of pink.
- >"Eep!" the horse made a noise in surprise.
- >The horse and you stared at one another for a bit, both too shocked to speak.
- >It did speak didn't it?
- >Talking horses?
- >"Um, h-hi?"
- >Yeah. That horse just talked.
- >And with that, you promptly fainted, your senses finally overloaded by the pain and surprise.
- >"O-oh my".
- -Hours Later-
- >"Twi-i-light, I think hes waking up. U-um, I think its a he, a-anyways."
- >Your eyes closed, you slowly come to again for the second time.
- >The voice sounded cute, you'd imagine it would be little issue on your part if she wanted physical confirmation on your gender.
- >"My books don't give me any idea on what it is. You said he spoke our language though! We'll just ask him when he wakes up fully."
- >Groaning, you opened your eyes and placed your gauntleted hand to your aching forehead.
- >The cold chain mail was some relief, but not much.
- >"Are you ok?"
- >This was a different voice then the stuttering one.
- >Wait. Stuttering.
- >Talking horse.
- >You lurch up quickly and look around the room.
- >You were inside some sort of house, laying on a couch.
- >A few feet away from you were two horses, one purple and the yellow one.
- >Far too little to be horses, they were basically p0nies.
- >Once again, a stare down was initiated between the lone human and not one, but two p0nies.
- >Finally the purple one broke the silence.
- >"Hello!"
- >She was cheerful for a talking horse, that was good at least.
- >Your presence seemed to be of great interest to her, her large eyes scanning your person.
- >You're going to ignore the fact you said you'd let cute sounding p0nies look at your junk.
- Hi. Where am I and how can you talk?
- >The next hour would be one you would never get back as the purple one revealed she liked to talk.
- >A lot.
- >Not that what she had to say wasn't useful.
- >It was just A LOT.
- Alright, alright. So let me get this straight.
- >You cause her to cease her giddy chatter.
- Twilight Sparkle. Fluttershy. I'm in a land called Equestria, which is populated by many things like you and you've never seen anything like me?
- >The purple p0nie nodded, with her shy yellow friend nodding in turn.
- >"And you have large chunks missing from your memory? Well do you remember your name at least?"
- >Twilight was a very questioning creature, you suppose that didn't bother you.
- Nothing some rest can't cure I'm sure. The name is Anon, Twilight Sparkle.
- >"You can just call me Twilight."
- Fair enough and Fluttershy seems far too intimidated by my presence to giving input, I see.
- >Upon mentioning her, the yellow p0ny hid behind her mane, only one eye on you.
- >They definitely had a niche in cute, you'll give them that.
- >Remembering your staff, you look around somewhat concerdly.
- >It was a prized possession, you'd never forgive yourself if you lost it.
- >Suddenly the staff levitated before you, illuminated in a purple light.
- >You blinked in surprise and grabbed it, noticing too that Twilight's unicorn horn was glowing purple as well.
- >The concept of magic wasn't foreign to you, however seeing it done by a small creature like her was odd to you.
- Thank you, Twilight. Anywhere a man could get something to eat? I'm starving.
- >As you finished this sentence, your stomach growled a confirmation.
- >"I'll have Fluttershy take you to Sugarcube Corner in Ponyville, our friend Pinkie makes great cupcakes! I have to send a letter to Princess Celestia on you."
- >Without another word, Twilight ran out of the cottage.
- >Cupcakes?
- >Odd, but seeming as how you were pretty sure these p0nies didn't eat meat, it would have to do.
- >Looking down at Fluttershy as you placed the staff in its sling on your back, you crouched down.
- >You felt bad the creature was so nervous around you.
- Fluttershy, anything I can do to make you more calm around me?
- >Without a thought, you decided to scratch behind her ear, hoping it had the same affect on p0nies of Equestria as it did back home.
- >"O-oh I'm just usually nerv-"
- >The scratching seemed to work. If p0nies were anything like humans back home, you'd swear she was blushing.
- >The yellow pegasus wings spread out till you discontinued the scratch and Fluttershy seemed content, a small smile on her face.
- Better?
- >She nodded.
- >"L-lets go get you some food, mister."
- >That nervous stutter would grow on you eventually.
- >Not sure about the mister part.
