No Gaems: The Session

[21:22:13] <Aeros> okay so, we last left off...
[21:22:54] <Aeros> you all took care of a large slime monster in the city.
[21:23:23] <Aeros> did you guys wanna do school next day
[21:23:31] <Aeros> or go after another youma?
[21:24:00] <Momo> (Bit more.  Momo cuts class the next day after what just happened.)
[21:24:14] <Ruby> (Do we have time for another youma?  Those usually take a bit)
[21:25:14] <Aeros> true...
[21:25:20] <Aeros> lets just do school then, is that okay momo?
[21:25:43] <Momo> (Please go ahead, plot is of utmost importance)
[21:26:29] <Aeros> alright. at school things seem to be relatively normal again. lots of teachers urging students to study for exams coming up
[21:27:25] * Katrina begins to panic slightly. EXAMS?
[21:28:01] * Ruby seems pretty laid-back. Pfft, exams? The coaches always make it so she passes anyway.
[21:29:16] <Aeros> its nearing the end of schoolyear after all
[21:29:53] <Aeros> Momo, what do you do for the day then? just stay inside?
[21:30:29] <Momo> (Mope... for a while, anyway.  Something tells me we'll get into that later.)
[21:32:41] <Aeros> Anyway, anyone in particular you two wanna interact with?
[21:34:29] <Ruby> (Not particularly... each other I guess?)
[21:35:06] <Aeros> alright, after all, you two kind of just witnessed a dying woman, half digested, be put out of her misery last night.
[21:35:18] <Aeros> lunch is the usual time, so lets say you two meet up then.
[21:36:56] * Ruby approaches Katrina from behind and slings an arm around her. "So, you worried about exams in a week or whatever?"
[21:37:08] * Katrina eeps! "Uh - I mean - yes?"
[21:37:50] <Ruby> "Oh, right, you're one of those people who actually has to study.  Wanna hang out with my friends again?  They seemed to like you."
[21:38:12] <Katrina> "I- That would be nice... Thank you."
[21:38:27] * Katrina has gotten some food, but doesn't seem to have much of an appetite.
[21:39:06] <Ruby> "Cool!"  Ruby was already dragging Katrina towards her friends' table anway.  "You seen Queen Dorkus today, by the way?  She's late for giving me her lunch money."
[21:39:54] <Katrina> "Ruby, you shouldn't take her lunch money..."
[21:40:04] <Katrina> "I don't think Momo is here today though."
[21:40:39] <Ruby> "I don't take it, she just offers it to me.  I mean I used to, but now she might as well just walk up to me."
[21:41:09] <Ruby> "Really?  She sick or something?  Going in to get even bigger eye glasses?"
[21:41:15] * Katrina shakes her head.
[21:41:32] <Katrina> "I don't know... I almost wish I hadn't come in, after yesterday..."
[21:42:18] <Ruby> "I don't know what you think you could've done.  She wasn't much more than a torso, slowly dying on the ground."
[21:42:35] <Ruby> "If it hadn't been for Arc, she would've died a slow, painful death there on the cold ground."
[21:43:26] <Katrina> "I know... it's just... I wish we could have done something. I can't - I just keep imagining what it would be like. To be waiting for someone to come save you, but when someone finally does... it's too late..."
[21:44:27] <Ruby> "You can't beat yourself up over it, 'trina.  We did what we could, and stopped her from being totally digested by that... thing."
[21:45:08] * Katrina nods, but still doesn't meet Ruby's eyes, still seeming depressed.
[21:45:53] <Ruby> "Remember girl, we're a team.  All that matters is we did our best, we can't do anything else."
[21:46:03] <Katrina> "Okay."
[21:46:21] <Aeros> you go on over to Ruby's friends. Sakura eats meat, while Rei seems to have as little of an appetite as Katrina, touching her salad with her fork.
[21:47:33] <Ruby> "What's up, gang?" Ruby bursts out.  "Are you as 'worried' about exams as I am?"
[21:47:49] <Aeros> "You know it." Sakura laughs.
[21:48:04] * Katrina flinches.
[21:48:36] <Aeros> Rei jolts up, looking up at you, she looks like she lost some sleep last night, "Oh, Ruby...I am trying to study a bit, but..." She trails off.
[21:48:49] <Katrina> "I've... I feel like I've forgotten everything..."
[21:49:46] <Aeros> Rei glances to you, "Did you..." She says softly, "Want to study?" she asks, timid.
[21:49:53] <Aeros> Sakura rolls her eyes
[21:50:01] <Katrina> "That would be nice..."
[21:50:05] <Ruby> "Oh, I'm sure you'll both be fine, you're the brains of this group.  We're the brawn."  Ruby gestures to herself and Sakura, and does a quick flex.
[21:50:10] <Katrina> "I'd really appreciate it."
[21:50:51] <Aeros> Sakura fistbumps ruby
[21:51:01] * Ruby returns the fistbump
[21:51:17] <Aeros> (did anyone want to release some buildup today?)
[21:51:26] <Ruby> (Yessss)
[21:51:27] <Katrina> "Did you... want to come over to my apartment to study, Rei? Or should we do it at school, or your place...?"
[21:51:30] <Katrina> (yes)
[21:51:34] <Aeros> (ruby has 5 fury, and momo has 4)
[21:51:50] <Aeros> (katrina has 2 magic)
[21:51:51] <Momo> (Actually, that got discharged last session, it was temp watched)
[21:52:08] <Aeros> (oh right)
[21:52:26] * Ruby as the fists are bumped, Ruby lets go of her pent-up rage... unknowing that it's going to dissipate around her, influencing everyone else and causing them to fly into a rage at the drop of a hat.
[21:52:29] <Aeros> Katrina: have you fed your maw today? :B
[21:52:42] <Momo> (she has to find her own oranges ;_;)
[21:52:51] <Katrina> (she hasn't fed herself either so far)
[21:53:16] <Aeros> in that case, you can feel the teeth on the back of your head growing restless about now, chewing at your hair.
[21:53:50] * Katrina shudders, then looks around. "Excuse me... I just, um, remembered I forgot something at my locker."
[21:54:09] * Katrina grabs her food and scurries off to find somewhere out of the way to 'feed' the horrid thing.
[21:54:28] * Ruby shrugs. "The hell does she need her damn books for during lunch?"
[21:54:34] <Aeros> Sakura is about to say something, but then someone bumps her as she stands.
[21:55:28] <Aeros> "Hey, watch it!" a few choice words easy to start anything. the boy dumps his tray of food on her. and that starts a widespread food fight.
[21:55:37] <Aeros> its amazing how fast it happened.
[21:56:01] <Aeros> Rei has also made herself scarce. Katrina: you just need to put a bit of food back there to feed it, and it calms down again.
[21:56:23] * Ruby quickly launches the apple from her tray into the person who dared bump into her best friend.
[21:56:27] <Katrina> (is it sunny out?)
[21:56:31] <Aeros> in the lunch room however, food is flying all over the room...along with a few chairs.
[21:56:35] <Aeros> Katrina: yes
[21:58:37] * Ruby quickly goes to find someone smaller than her to pin in a corner
[21:59:07] <Aeros> the lunchroom rush turns into a lunchroom brawl.
[22:00:35] <Aeros> it takes a few teachers and a full 20 minutes to get everyone undercontrol
[22:01:19] <Aeros> thankfully, both you and Ruby get out of it unscathed in the chaos of detentions being handed out, Sakura is laughing.
[22:01:40] * Ruby is quick to relent when someone intervenes on the othe rside of the cafeteria, but is sure to give whoever she was just beating on a death stare as she walks away.
[22:03:20] <Aeros> "Damn, that was fun...where did the two sissies go?"
[22:03:54] <Aeros> Katrina: what did you wanna do with your 2 magic OC
[22:04:02] <Ruby> "Dunno, guess they went to read or some shit..." Ruby pauses to kiss her knuckles.  "I think Katrina was going to her locker, think we can get there without some teachers finding us?"
[22:04:20] <Katrina> (i was gonna have it suddenly start raining on her when she got ready to bike home or to the Court)
[22:04:51] <Aeros> that works.
[22:05:00] <Aeros> "Nah, they don't have a clue..."
[22:05:37] <Aeros> "So what's your plan this weekend? You were busy last week."
[22:05:49] <Ruby> "All right, maybe the two quiet ones ended up there."
[22:06:16] <Ruby> "My plan?  Huh, didn't really have one I guess.  You know, I usually just go wherever it takes me."
[22:06:51] <Aeros> "I can feel that."
[22:07:30] <Aeros> "Wanna hang this saturday? that new basketball movie is coming out. a lot of the team is goin."
[22:08:09] <Ruby> "Yeah, sure, sounds like it could be fun.  I haven't got to hang out with the others too much lately."
[22:09:18] <Aeros> "Awesome. see you tomorrow night then."
[22:09:51] * Ruby nods, and goes to high-five Sakura to cement the agreement.
[22:10:16] <Aeros> you part ways just as the bell rings. the rest of the day goes on as normal...with a few less people. most likely sent home in the chaos, or maybe just skipped after that. the lunchroom brawl is the talk of the school.
[22:10:26] <Aeros> She hifives
[22:12:37] <Aeros> when Katrina leaves school, likely towards the Court, it suddenly starts raining over the city. its a strange, harsh downpour, seemingly from nowhere.
[22:13:21] <Aeros> you need to go for shelter in a store. when you get a strange text from an unfamiliar number...the number isn't listed.
[22:13:46] <Aeros> (mind if I wrap up the session? i'm sorta drifting)
[22:13:52] <Katrina> (its okay, i am too)
[22:13:59] <Aeros> [IT'S NOT FRIDAY.]
[22:14:01] <Ruby> (Sure, go for it, it's almost time for me to go running)
[22:14:01] * Katrina stares at it, then checks the text.
[22:14:15] <Aeros> is all it says.
[22:14:32] <Katrina> "Not... Friday? What does that mean?"
[22:14:34] <Aeros> despite the date on your phone saying otherwise.
[22:14:45] * Katrina hesitates, then tries calling the number back.
[22:15:16] <Aeros> Katrina: the number doesn't respond
[22:16:01] * Katrina puts her phone away, a bit unsettled.
[22:16:08] <Aeros> soon, the rain passes, and you are allowed to go on to the Court.
[22:16:08] <Katrina> "But it is Friday... Isn't it?"
