Artemisia Arvellum Fluff

The spiders of Artemisia Arvelum are hunters. The move across the land quickly and quietly, killing their pray with methodical efficiency. It was not always this way, once the lived in great cities of stone and metal, weaving tapestries with their webbing and webs of plots with their minds.

Now, after the ruin caused by the leyline distortion, the roam the lands trying to reclaim what little there is left of the old world with stealth, poison and arrows. After all spiders are greatest when they ambush their prey.

They worship the gods Artemisia, the Silent Huntress and Arvellum, the Subtle sage. Artemisia and most females are larger than the males, the hunt and kill their prey with silent action and quick, brutal movements. Males are smaller and sleeker, like Arvellum. They farm and research, amongst other things.
