OC WIP - Jasmine Summers

Background:
Jasmine is the only daughter of Charles Summers, the proud founder and executive director of the popular Shimmering line of bathroom products. The story behind Shimmering is quite well known now; when her father was a young man, he found out that no shampoo was quite strong enough for his then-blossoming facial hair. So, like any enterprising American might do, he made his own. And then others found out about his miracle formula, and the rest, as they say is history. Charles is now a billionaire from this, and his facial hair has awoken as being surprisingly strong, to the point that he can actually use his handlebar mustache as a second pair of arms. In this way, his daughter is much the same as him, although her regular hair manifested this ability instead.
Jasmine is the richest student at Celeste's school, and is commonly despised for this. She regularly brags about how much it costs for her to keep her hair as beautiful and strong as it is, and often she'll gladly show off just how strong it is to keep those who might try to dirty her up in line. Early on in the school year, she got into a week-long feud with Celeste over something like this, but as the week went on the two ended up being moreso impressed by each of their attempts to best the other, and they ended up becoming friends.

Personality:
- Jasmine is proud and a bit vain, considering herself above others due to her fortunate circumstances. She takes insults to her hair quite personally, and is especially proud of it due to all the care she puts into it. She is quite willing to share with others how proud she is of it through very physical means, and is quick to anger and, despite her upbringing, is perhaps the most likely to get into a fight out of all of Celeste's friends. However, she's also fairly lazy as a student, and just kind of ignores what's taught because she figures her money will get her through life anyways, so she doesn't need to know such things; this results in her often actually not understanding or completely getting what others talk about. She then takes this ignorance on her part as an insult against her, only adding to her unpleasantness.
- Surprisingly though, there is a good side to Jasmine. While she might be vain, there is a part of her which does care about others, and though she isn't very good at expressing it, when push comes to shove she will be the first one protecting someone she does care for. She is also determined and unwavering in her goals, and can often stubbornly push her way through something if she tries hard enough. She's also actually pretty good at jokes and loves puns, though her sense of humour is simple and she often misses the jokes of others.
- Also noteworthy is that Jasmine's relationship with her father is a little strained, as he doesn't want her to become the sort of person she seems to be becoming, but isn't necessarily great at getting her to recognize it. Thusly, she feels like he's always on her back and never letting her do things the way she wants to.

Powers and Abilities:
- Shimmering Hair
While Jasmine is fairly athletic herself and is far from frail, her true strength is in her hair. Jasmine is capable of perfectly controlling & manipulating her hair, which is also capable of growing up to twice it's normal length & has super strength. Jasmine uses her hair like a second pair of arms most of the time, though in battle she is quite creative & changes the shape of her hair for various attacks. Her most commonly used techniques are:
Shimmering Shield – Jasmine rapidly spins her hair around, creating a shield that repels attacks in front of her. She can also use this in an offensive capacity, using her hair like a saw blade, and in the air she can slow her descent with it.
Shimmering Spiral – Jasmine kicks off the ground or jumps in the air, and charges into the opponent from the front or above (respectively) while wrapping her body in her own hair, which takes the shape of a drill.
Shimmering Slammer – Wrapping her hair around an opponent, she proceeds to throw them into the air, before grabbing them again and slamming them into the ground at full force.
Also referred to constantly, but never actually seen, is the “Shimmering Summers Special”. Although Jasmine claims this is her ultimate attack, nobody's ever actually seen her do it, and nobody knows what it is. And she refuses to actually say what sort of technique it is. Maybe the technique is the threat of her actually doing something...

- Basic Talents
Jasmine is quite athletic, and does a lot of exercise because it helps her stay pretty. While she's quite vain, at the same time, Jasmine is legitimately quite good with fashion and is one of the best people to go to if you want advice on how to look your best (naturally, most of the time she'll suggest Shimmering products). Jasmine also has a very good sense of rhythm, and can play the drums quite well.

Appearance:
~ Jasmine is quite small, and at first glance can look more like a young child than a high school student. Her frame is light and flat, though there's more strength to her then might be apparent at first glance. She has fair skin of a healthy colour, with straight cut, absolutely shining blonde hair that is done up into two body-length pigtails that just barely don't drag on the floor, with yellow ribbons tying them up. Her eyes are large and green, and she has a very small nose with a barely noticeable mouth. She has light blush on her face, in order to help her look better without looking fake.
~ Jasmine wears a simple and cheap white sundress, with a yellow sunflower-patterned bracelet and yellow sneakers, as well as a large pastel yellow bow around her waist. Apparently the very simple attire isn't her own choice, and is her father making sure she doesn't spend too much on clothes – funnily enough, she ends up spending way less than other girls in the school as a result.
