Concept 1: Team Dad (Fighter or Ranger or Paladin)
* In his youth, he was an up and coming adventurer.  On one of his contracts he ended up in a fairly rural village where he became good friends with a young Illuminati couple.  He agreed to be their soon-to-be-born kid's God Father.
* A few years later, he gets a letter that the couple are now departed due to disease, and he decided to make good on his promise.  He retired from his adventuring career to do that.
* Now many years later, the kid has grown up and become an adventurer herself.  Hearing tales of her deeds reach the rural town, he's had a bit of a mid life crises and decided to don the adventurer mantle once more.

Concept 2: Galaxy Brian Moff (Paladin)
* Just playing the kid described above
* Rather than a pact with an actual God, maybe something with the Fairy courts?

Concept 3: Dickass McGee (some sort of striker)
* Goblin archaeologist / treasure hunter who is obsessed with fae and pre-Conjoining relics.
* "I know you're down here, Bahamut you big nerd.  Where are my relics?"

Concept 4: Auspicious SOMETHING barbarian or druid.  I have nothing concrete
