  1. Hi, My IGN is BananaTheBob and I'll be reviewing your plot today! :D
  2. When reviewing initiate plots we look for three things: Structure, Terrain, and trees/organics.
  3.
  4. Structure:
  5. The structure has to have at least one layer of depth. This means that there should be a frame for the house and the wall should be one block back so there are two layers. Then you're supposed to detail the inner layer with things such as slabs, fence, stairs, etc. However, be sure that you don't over detail and take up the entire wall. The roof windows and vines shouldn't cover the entire house in hopes that it looks like depth.
  6.
  7. Suggestions:
  8. The structure doesn't have any walls, and the "roof" has holes in it. This is confusing and it's very very hard to add depth if there isn't any wall to put it on. The floor isn't nearly as important as the rest of the structure is.
  9.
  10. Terrain:
  11. Basic terrain is a requirement, and more extreme terrain would help you rank up. When building small terrain you have to make sure that it flows, and there aren't any edges that would make it look unnatural. There should be a good amount of space (between 2-6 [give or take a few]) between the ending and beginning of a new layer of terrain. (do /plot visit BananaTheBob 11 and look at the bottom to see an example of this). Difficult terrain such as cliffs of mountains are easy, they just take some practice. There are different methods and you'll eventually find what suits you. The easiest method is building the template (the basic shape that you want the terrain to be, no detail/doesn't look natural). Then you detail it, there are other methods that will make it look more natural, but if you're beginner that is the best option. (do /plot visit BananaTheBob 11 and look at the second/top layer for examples of cliffs. The method used is a little bit more difficult but you can ask me to demonstrate it if I'm not busy! :D
  12.
  13. Suggestions:
  14. The terrain is required to rank up, read information above to help you get started ^.^
  15. Trees/Organics:
  16. Organics such as people and animals are NOT, I REPEAT NOT required to rank up, but custom trees are. Trees will help you rank up, but not bonemealed trees. The custom tree shouldn't be the same size and shape a bonemealed one or it defeats the purpose of building your own. Start with the trunk and then add branches (number of branches depends on the size of the trunk and tree, so do the leaves). The leaves should be fluffy and not like they are taped onto the branches. Remember, the trunk should not be straight up, and should have some shape to it (but not look like it's about to tip over). The leaves and branches size should be relative to the trunk. This means that the leaves shouldn't be to big for the trunk and the trunk shouldn't be to big for the leaves.
  17.
  18. Suggestions:
  19. The trees look unnatural, and the lime glass makes it look even more cartoonish. Additionally, the tree is the same size as the bonemealed ones which defeats the purpose and the leaves look like they're glued onto the branches.
  20.
  21. Good luck!
