  1. 3-4 psych/sociology courses will be plenty to adequately prepare oneself for the new section, just choose wisely.
  2.
  3. The same goes for the modified biological sciences section. Yes, a biochemistry course will be very helpful for the new MCAT, but a major in it? Come on, that's overkill! A major in Biochemistry will have you jumping through all sorts of unnecessary hoops like calc II-III, physical chemistry, biochemistry lab, adv. chem lab, analytical chemistry, etc.
  4.
  5. I would choose a single major that you love and include the following:
  6. Core:
  7. General Biol I/II
  8. General Chem I/II
  9. Organic Chem I/II
  10. General Physics I/II
  11. Biochemistry I
  12. Genetics or Cell or Molecular
  13. Physiology
  14. Cell or Molecular or Micro or Immunology or Virology or Histology
  15. Intro to Statistics
  16. Calculus I or Statistics II
  17. Intro to Sociology
  18. Intro to Psychology
  19. Choose 2-3:
  20. Developmental Psychology
  21. Biological Psychology or Neuroscience or Perception
  22. Abnormal Psychology
  23. Personality
  24. Choose 1-2:
  25. Bioethics
  26. Dying/Death/Afterlife
  27. Health Law/Politics
  28. Medical Economics
  29. Medical Anthropology
  30. Infectious Disease
  31. Epidemiology
  32. These course will give you all the tools you need to nail the MCAT, and do will in medical school.
