  1. ** Book of Gerbilius - Introduction of purpose. **
  2.
  3. I am Gerbilius. I was old when humanity was young. I am a servant of the lord,
  4. but do not be mistaken. I am not holy, nor am I perfect. But I am good,
  5. or the lord almighty would not have given me my power.
  6.
  7. I am the sentinel of this world. I defend it from the other worlds who would
  8. do it harm and I enforce the justice.
  9.
  10. This is the first time I have spoken to my peoples or any races who have dwelled
  11. on this world before you. I speak now to demand peace, mercy and compassion
  12. from you all, because this is lacking among some who call themselves servants
  13. of the lord.
  14.
  15. I must tell you about what I am. When I say what I am, I mean what kind
  16. of person I am. I will never harm a kind person. I will never command
  17. the death of a good person. I do not bring damnation, I bring rectification.
  18. I may punish some, yes, but I never give more punishment than deserved,
  19. and beware, I never give less punishment than is needed for correction.
  20.
  21. I am a guardian of Midgard, what you call Earth, and these are among my
  22. greatest duties. I am not alone in this task, but I am powerful.
  23.
  24.
  25. Now I must tell you about my master, the lord. Some call him simply "God",
  26. some call him Yahweh, some call him Jehovah, some call him Allah,
  27. and some call him Krishna. The nature of the lord is one of undying love,
  28. compassion, value for life, and infinite mercy. You are all a voice of the lord.
  29. You and god are the same. I must elaborate; there is only one being in all
  30. of existence, and that is the lord. This means that I and you are the same,
  31. that you and a stranger are the same. This is why many faiths command
  32. compassion and kindness, because they know this truth; that harming another
  33. is the same as harming oneself.
  34.
  35. Those who act in the name of a cruel, wrathful perception of the lord
  36. are deeply insulting the lord. They tarnish his name, they disgrace him.
  37. They are instead blindly acting in the name of evil. What is evil?
  38. From my wisdom I will tell you now: Evil is cruelty, mercilessness, greed,
  39. selfishness, a feeling of entitlement. Evil is destruction. Weakness is not evil,
  40. ignorance is not evil. They are negative, but not truly evil. Undesirable,
  41. but not evil. Evil describes a corrupted state of existence. Evil is by
  42. its very nature, against the lord, because the lord is oneness, and evil
  43. wishes to be separate, and draw lines to separate.
  44. Such separation is impossible, and only causes much grief and discord.
  45.
  46.
  47. Book of Gerbilius - His description
  48.
  49. I sit atop a throne made from the charred, gnawed bones of those who were so
  50. wicked they disgusted me. My throne gets bigger with each evil human I slay, but
  51. my greatest wish is that my throne should never grow again. I live in my own
  52. domain which I have complete dominion over. I live away from Earth a tiny point away in
  53. the fourth direction. I have my own servants, just as the lord appoints angels.
  54.
  55. They are the undead gerbil swarm, and it is they who bring the gnawed bones for my throne.
  56. They are my children, spun from my own mind.
  57.
  58. They are most terrifying, with black fleshy wings like that of a bat,
  59. fur like spines of a cactus, sharp, piercing rodent teeth, and the most
  60. terrible claws that rip the flesh with much ease.
  61. They are a light shade of brown in colour, and their eyes glow a bright, deep red.
  62.
  63. They are not evil; instead, the red in their eyes reflects the rage from
  64. the evil done in this world. When evil in Midgard ceases, their eyes
  65. shall become black like that of a normal gerbil of Midgard, their fur shall
  66. become softer than the fur of a rabbit, and their teeth shall shrink.
  67. Their wings will become brown and covered in fur. Their claws shall dull.
  68.
  69. Until such time, they serve me, and they destroy the evil I command them to.
  70. The gerbils hunger out of rage for the flesh of the truly evil. They will
  71. need to be fed until there is no longer evil to cause them to be enraged,
  72. at which time their hunger will cease.
  73.
  74. My servants sleep in giant boiling vats of peanut butter. They emerge with great force
  75. when I call them, splashing waves of great force, screaming to the sky with
  76. most terrible snarls and screeches.
