  1. The sky is the same pale pink as an earth rose, and even through Suit’s protection I can feel the faint taps of the near invisible organism’s bumping into me as they float their way through the sky. Similar to earth’s jellyfish in appearance, these creatures carry helium at their center and are at the whim of weather as to which way they drift. Their pale, transparent tendrils extend outwards as far as they can reach, with the hope of catching any smaller creatures that wander into their grasp. Gently, I palm one of them in the center of my hand. They are delicate, harmless creatures that will rupture with the lightest touch. It’s tendrils only just reach the edge of my hand. I lift it towards the wind and it catches a light gust of air that carries it towards it’s fellows. The tiny creature mixes with others, both similar and different from it. They all float, bob and glide through the air, occasionally giving off tiny bioluminescent flashes. In the pale light of the white sun, the creatures shimmer like an ocean of flickering stars. It is beautiful. However, as I look upon them, all I can see is their intricate multicellular forms. I have arrived her three billion years too late.
