	'What happened to Clutch?'

	'Who knows? Damn dog has disappeared, useless mutt. Never liked him anyway.'

The huge beast looked at Mr Big, puzzled, hurt. And for the first time he spoke.

	'Master – no – like – Clutch?'

	'Oh, there you are,' said Mr Big. Then he looked around and frowned. 'No puppy again? I told you not to come back without him.'

	He tapped his antenna, but rather  than cringing, Clutch started to move forward, his red albino eyes fixed on Mr Big.

	'Master no like Clutch. Cruel master. Bad master!' (111-112)
