  1. Mario Runs IRC Bot Info:
  2. For information about the IRC Bot check out this thread: http://marioruns.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=359
  3. The default host duration is 2 hours. This may change in the future.
  4. Keep in mind that the bot is limited to sending one message per 1.5 seconds. This means things like !optin may not give any confirmations, but it is very likely that they were still processed. You can send them again if you want to be sure. The anybody commands will only be responded to once every 30 seconds (each).
  5. There are also some commands that only I can run. They are not documented here.
  6.
  7. Command list (as of 2014-09-28):
  8. Anybody commands:
  9. !bot
  10. Makes the bot send a message. Useful for testing if the bot is currently active without any side effects.
  11. !timeleft
  12. Returns how much time (in seconds) is left in the current host.
  13. !optin
  14. Adds the sender to the whitelist. If you are already on the whitelist, it will let you know.
  15. !optout
  16. Removes the sender from the whitelist.
  17. !go
  18. If there is an active vote, votes to change the hosted channel. If there is no active vote, it starts one and votes to change the hosted channel.
  19. !stay
  20. If there is an active vote, votes to stay with the current hosted channel.
  21. !listmods
  22. Lists the current bot moderators.
  23.
  24. Mod commands:
  25. (Keep in mind channel moderators and bot moderators are seperate)
  26. !help
  27. Links you here.
  28. !sleep
  29. Puts the bot into sleep mode. This disables the automated hosting/voting feature. Commands that adjust the whitelist or modlist, or give information are still functional.
  30. !wake
  31. Brings the bot out of sleep mode. You may want to run the !pickhost command after this to get things going.
  32. !host <channel>
  33. Hosts the specified user, bypassing the whitelist. Do not abuse this.
  34. !unhost
  35. Executes the unhost command. Useful if the stream is about to be used for something else.
  36. !getstatus <channel>
  37. Returns the game and title of the specified channel. Mostly used for debugging.
  38. !getviewers <channel>
  39. Returns the number of viewers the specified channel has. Mostly used for debugging.
  40. !pickhost
  41. Forces the bot to pick a new channel to host.
  42. !candidates
  43. Lists the current possible channels that are eligible to be hosted by Mario Runs.
  44. !getusers
  45. Returns the number of users currently in the chat.
  46. !whitelistadd <channel>
  47. Adds a channel to the whitelist.
  48. !whitelistrm <channel>
  49. Removes a channel from the whitelist
  50. !vote
  51. Initiates a vote, without adding a vote to either side.
  52.
  53. How voting works:
  54. A vote can be instantiated at any time by sending the !go command (or as a mod, the !vote command). The length of the vote is 1/10th of the host duration (12 minutes for a 2 hour host duration). If at any time during the vote, the votes either for or against changing hosted channels becomes 10% (with a minimum of 4) higher than the votes for the contrary, then the decision is made and the vote is ended. So if the channel has 200 viewers, there would need to be 20 more !go votes than !stay votes to change the hosted channel. If there were 30 people in the channel, there would need to be 4 more.
