Hello and welcome!
Here you can chat with and possibly meet your fellow Floridian Redditors!
We have people of many backgrounds and locations.
There are periods where people aren't talking much that can last minutes to sometimes an hour or so, feel free to say hello and come back to the chat window after a while.

Please read below for rules and useful commands.

If a user has a + or a @ next to their nick, they can assist you with help chatting and if there is an issue in the channel such as harassment please notify them.


- Rules -
1. No hateful speech. It will NOT be tolerated.
2. Assign a NSFW tag to NSFW links. Please do not post links to shock sites.
3. Respect everybody in the channel. They're there to chat, not to be verbally abused.
4. On the other hand don't take anything said in the channel as serious, if it is annoying just come back in a bit, the topic of discussion changes quite often.  Harassment of course is never tolerated.
5. You must be 18 years of age to join.
6. This is not a chatroom to discuss drug deals and meetups, while we are tolerant and accepting of most backgrounds this is not the place to arrange a hookup.

- Useful Commands -
These commands work for all clients, type them in the text box you normal use to chat:

To create a private conversation with somebody you can type:
/msg nickname message
Where nickname is the user you want to contact and message is the message you want to start the conversation with.

To join other channels:
/join #channelname

To have your nickname do an action:
/me does_something
