  1. Theta Trance - Unlimited Mage Works

  3. Theta's mage partner vanishes, and Theta begins glowing purple. His body is covered in a radiant, purple Black Waltz outfit.

  5. The scenery has changed to a barren field at sunset, only a few miles away from Black Mage Village. Surrounding the group and the enemies are an endless expanse of hats, laying on the ground. Slowly, each begin to rise up, each being supported by a figure of shadows with yellow eyes. Slowly, the darkness begins to fade in several as they cast aside their hats, revealing the friends and family Theta has made of the mage girls over the past few months. They each smile, their support for Theta and rejection of Ayane absolute - and then, each one flies forward in an instant, merging into Theta's body.

  7. After a moment, something literally steps out of his body - T0, his feminine form, dressed in full mage attire with black and blonde hair, a cat's tail, and also glowing purple.

  9. Theta's trance entails the usual perks:

  11. The character is immediately cured of all negative status effects and job ability effects such as Power Break, though they are not immune to further applications.
  12. The character's damage is improved by two steps.
  13. The character gains an additional use of any abilities limited to usage by session.
  14. The character gains Fastcast, as the Red Mage limit ability.
  15. The character may activate a Limit Break they possess as a standard action, regardless of their HP. Activating a Limit Break in this fashion immediately ends Trance.

  17. In addition, he gains the following abilities:

  19. His offensive geotrances may be upgraded to Maelstroms at will.
  20. He may make alterations to the terrain (to a reasonable extent) as an instant action.
  21. Once per round, as an instant action, he may change out one equipment property on any piece of gear he possesses for any other equipment property.
  22. Any elemental affinities he has are upgraded one step (neutral to resistance, resistance to immunity, immunity to absorbtion).
  23. Numerical effects of defensive geotrances are doubled.

  25. T0, on the other hand, gains the following properties:

  27. Once per round as an instant action, she may change her stats to any given mage Theta has access to, however she uses the highest HP and MP totals of the mages, which stays constant. So Zoof doesn't have to do the math, that means he's actually using Adenine's HP/MP values.

  29. No matter what form she's in, she can cast any spell an allied mage knows. Remember that Trance automatically grants Fastcast so you don't need to switch to one with that.

  31. She may access any mage's limit break. If she uses one that provides a buff, then it's transferred to the replacing mage when the trance ends.

  33. She also gains Auto-Rejuv, Elizabeth's little spell. She recovers 20% MP per turn.

  37. It should be noted that if either form uses their Limit Break, it only ends Trance early for one side.
