egpu usb 3 with linux for steam games

Hey guys,

I didn't want to pony up the cash for a hi end laptop with a decent gpu.  I ended up with decent Dell Inspiron 17.3 5748 has dual core i7 / 8G mem and put in an 120G ssd and installed Fedora 21 and can login with gnome, cinnamon or kodi desktops.  I really enjoy the steam on linux but am limited to intel hd 4400 graphics.

Soo I'm looking at using an external gpu via the one usb 3 port.  Have you guys done any reviews on these?  BTY, found your reviews on osmc.  Thanks for all of the cool reviews.  I'm still sorting through them all lots of catching up to do.
