- >You walk through the village of Ponyville, towards the library.
- >Twilight had invited you over for tea and a spot of reading.
- >You enjoyed the time you spent together, weather you were engaging in intelligent conversation or a tactical
- game of chess, she's always a very nice pony to be around.
- >Not to mention insanely adorable.
- >When she starts raving over the amazingness of stars or the wonders of ancient history, it never fails to give
- you a mini heart attack.
- >You could sit and listen to that all day, even if you have no clue what she's on about.
- >She's a great friend, and you'd love to go further with her.
- >To cuddle that warm, soft body, or brush that delicate mane of hers.
- >You sigh and return to reality.
- >She's a pony, a -Princess- pony no less, she wouldn't be interested in you.
- >Never mind, you can still enjoy your days with her.
- >In your daydreaming, you had reached your destination.
- >You walk up to the door and knock a couple times.
- - "Just a minute!" you hear Twilight call from inside.
- >Banging, clattering and magic poofs can be heard echoing about the library.
- - "He's here, he's here!" you hear her frantically say to herself.
- >After a while, the door creaks open with a panicked purple pony stood on the other side.
- >She's panting and sweating a little.
- - "Oh hello Anon, fancy seeing you around here"
- "You invited me here..."
- >She nervously laughs to herself.
- - "Oh I did didn't I? Silly me, I must of forgot, hehe..."
- >You know that can't be true, Twilight never forgets anything.
- >You follow her inside and sit at the table where the teapot stands, waiting.
- >She sits opposite you, and pours you both a cup.
- >You notice she's tied her mane into a ponytail.
- >That's very odd, Twilight isn't one to change her appearance, except for special outings.
- "Hey Twi, what's with the Ponytail?"
- >She awkwardly looks away from you and prods it with a hoof.
- - "Do you like it?, I heard you say once that you liked ponytails, so I thought I'd give it a try, did I do it right? I'm not so sure, I don't usually-"
- "It looks great on you, Twilight" you interrupt her worried rambling.
- >Her face begins to go a little red
- - "Thanks..."
- >She sips her tea, and you follow suit.
- >It's... cold.
- >Now you're definitely sure something is wrong, Twilight always ensures the tea is at the perfect drinking temperature for when you arrive.
- >You put your cup down on table and lean forward towards Twilight.
- "Is everything OK, Twi?"
- >She jumps in her seat, and gasp a little.
- - "Who, me?"
- "Yes you, are you alright?"
- - "Me? Alright? Of course I'm alright, Why wouldn't I be alright?"
- >Her eyes dart around the room, and she shuffles in her chair.
- "Well, you've been acting awfully strange recently, and I'm a little worried"
- >Her blush deepens, and she taps her forehooves together.
- - "Anon, can I ask you something... personal?"
- "Of course you can Twilight, we're friends right?”
- >She swallows a lump in her throat.
- - "It's just that, I was wondering, how do human relationships work?"
- >You lean back in your seat, her questions taking you by surprise.
- "Hmmm..."
- >You put a hand to your chin in thought.
- "Well I guess, they're sort of the same as pony relationships, good friends go to being more than friends, or something, I'm not really sure, I've never really done that sort of stuff before."
- >She stands up on the table, leaning towards you in shock.
- - "Really? I thought somepony like you would be an expert on this since your-"
- >She stops herself mid-sentence and return back to her seat, playing with her mane in embarrassment.
- - "I mean since you're, you know, so nice and all..."
- >You chuckle to yourself.
- "You flatter me Twilight, but I'm honestly no good with this, sorry I can't be of more help"
- - "No no, it's OK, really, I don't have any experience at all, I looked in some books about it, but they weren't very helpful"
- >You reach over the table and gently ruffle the top of her head.
- "Don't worry about it, I'm sure you'll figure it out, and whoever you choose as your special somepony is bound to say yes, how could they not?"
- >Her ears have lowered and she looks down in embarrassment.
- - "Thanks, Anon, I'm glad you're here today, you're such a good friend."
- "Anytime, and I'm glad too."
- >You pull your hand away and stand up from your seat.
- "Come on, let's go read something"
- >She nods at you and gets up from her seat.
- >You walk over to the bookshelves and scan through the various tomes available.
- "Hmm, what to read, what to read..." You murmur to yourself.
- >You feel a tap on your side.
- >Looking over, you see a book floating beside you.
- - "How about this one?" She asks.
- >You grab it from the air and turn it around to see the cover.
- >The title reads "Will you be mine?"
- >You peer up to see Twilight, trying her best to smile as an intense flush of red covers her face.
- >Is she asking you to- no, surely she wouldn't. Would she?
- >You look back and forth between Twilight and the book.
- >She remains silent, kicking the ground with a hoof, face still blushing like crazy.
- >Without a word, you return to the shelf beside you and quickly pull out a book.
- >You walk over and pass it to Twilight.
- >She takes it from you and slowly reads the cover aloud.
- - "The art of saying yes... by Iron Will"
- >Twilight explodes with happiness, she jumps about the room, giggling like a little filly.
- - "Yes! Yes! You said yes!"
- >She jumps over to the window and flings it open.
- - "He said yes! He said yes!"
- >Ponies passing by outside give her various looks of confusion.
- - "Oh, hehe.. sorry..."
- >She slowly closes the window and lets out a breath to compose herself.
- >Which is quickly ruined when she giggles to herself again and dances on the spot.
- - "I can't believe you said yes, this is great"
- >She disappears in a cloud of sparkles, before reappearing in front of you.
- >She snuggles up against you, rubbing her head against you.
- >You return the affection and pet her gently, slowly running your hand over her incredibly soft fur.
- >You remain in quiet embrace for some time, with no noise in the library but the soft, relaxed sighs that Twilight lets out.
- >Eventually, she pulls away and looks up at you, her beautiful purple eyes twinkle in admiration.
- - "Thank you Anon, I hope I can be a good marefriend for you"
- >You can't help but give her a big smile.
- "I couldn't ask for a better one"
- >She snuggles you one last time before pulling away and teleporting herself upstairs.
- >She opens a drawer and pulls out one of her famous lists.
- - "Now, according to my research, "couples" - usually consisting of one mare and one colt, should partake in "dates" together, choosing activities that both ponies enjoy"
- >She teleports downstairs again and pulls a chart down out of nowhere.
- >On it, is a Venn diagram, with you on one side and Twilight on the other, labelled "Dates" at the top.
- - "As you can see by this chart, I have organised activities that we enjoy to find common interests between us."
- >She then levitates a scroll over to you.
- - "I then drew up this timetable to accompany all the things we both like"
- >You look it over, and begin to chuckle to yourself.
- - "What are you Laughing at? Did I do It wrong? Maybe I should check the book again..."
- >She magics a book before herself and frantically flicks through the pages.
- >You slowly walk over to her, take the book, place it back on the shelf and crouch down infront of her.
- >She looks at you with worry and confusion.
- - "Anon, I-"
- >You raise a hand to silence her.
- "I really appreciate the effort you put into this, but we don't have to do everything now, we've got all the time in the world"
- - "R-really?"
- "I promise"
- >You ruffle the top of her mane again and return to your feet.
- "Hey I just remembered, isn't there that big meteor shower happening tonight?"
- >Twilight jumps and her wings shoot to her side in surprise.
- - "The meteor shower! I was so caught up with asking you, I completely forgot about it!"
- "Well what are we waiting for? Let's go! It'll be dark soon!"
- >she trots over to the door to join you.
- - "Oh wait, just a sec"
- >She quickly grabs a scarf and wraps it around her neck.
- - "OK, all done, let's go!"
- >You take Twilight to a hill on the outskirts of town.
- >No one else comes to this spot, so you've got it all to yourselves.
- >You throw the blanket onto the floor and sit down, Twilight sits beside you.
- >You both watch as the last slithers of sunlight begin to fade on the horizon.
- >Before long, the night arrives, the moon sits above you, along with a handful of stars.
- >Twilight points a hoof towards the sky, and tells you all the constellations and the stories behind them.
- >She's really cute when she gets going, she just seems so happy when she gets a chance to show off her knowledge.
- >A single meteor shoots past in the sky
- - "It's starting Anon!"
- >She shakes your arm in excitement.
- >Several more meteors begin to appear, amassing until they light up the entire sky.
- >The spectacular light show is breathtaking, a really amazing sight to behold.
- - "Isn't it beautiful, Anon?"
- >You put your arm around her and rub her side.
- "Yeah... it really is something"
- >You feel her shivering against you.
- >Being the gentlemen you are, you quickly remove your jacket and wrap it around her.
- >She nervously pulls it onto herself.
- - "Th-thanks Anon, that's really nice of you, but won't you get cold now?"
- >You pull her in close, her warm body pressing against you.
- "Now I won't" you say with a smirk.
- >She shuffles up to get comfy with you and looks back to the stars.
- >One particular falling star catches your attention, much larger and brighter than the others.
- - "Look at that one Anon! Quick, make a wish!"
- >You see Twilight close her eyes as she makes her wish.
- >She then opens them and looks up at you.
- - "Did you make one Anon?"
- "Of course I did, what was yours?"
- - "I can't tell you that! If I tell you, it won't come true!"
- >You chuckle aloud once again.
- "Please Twi, don't tell me you believe nonsense like that."
- >She scrunches her face a little.
- - "Well, why don't you tell me your wish then?"
- >You look away from her toward the sky.
- "I wished... that I would get to kiss Twilight Sparkle tonight"
- >You look back down into her eyes, which are completely transfixed on you.
- - "M-me too..."
- >The two of you slowly inch your faces closer together, until you are touching noses.
- >You put one hand on the back of her head, and the other on her back, gently rubbing her velvety coat.
- >Her hot breath caresses your face as you steadily pull her in to complete the act.
- >The two of you lock lips, and your tongues exchange each others touch as they play about with the other.
- >You swear you can taste a hint of raspberry.
- >You lose yourselves in the moment, so perfectly arranged for the pair of you atop this hill.
- >After a long and magical kiss together, you pull your mouths apart.
- - "Wow... that was... something..." she pants breathlessly.
- >She presses her head against your chest, and you hold her tightly against you.
- >As you look up to watch the last of the meteor shower fade away, you smile to yourself.
- >This had been an incredible evening.
- >But even better than that.
- >There were many more to come.
