  1. >You walk through the village of Ponyville, towards the library.
  2. >Twilight had invited you over for tea and a spot of reading.
  3. >You enjoyed the time you spent together, weather you were engaging in intelligent conversation or a tactical
  4.
  5. game of chess, she's always a very nice pony to be around.
  6. >Not to mention insanely adorable.
  7. >When she starts raving over the amazingness of stars or the wonders of ancient history, it never fails to give
  8.
  9. you a mini heart attack.
  10. >You could sit and listen to that all day, even if you have no clue what she's on about.
  11. >She's a great friend, and you'd love to go further with her.
  12. >To cuddle that warm, soft body, or brush that delicate mane of hers.
  13. >You sigh and return to reality.
  14. >She's a pony, a -Princess- pony no less, she wouldn't be interested in you.
  15. >Never mind, you can still enjoy your days with her.
  16. >In your daydreaming, you had reached your destination.
  17. >You walk up to the door and knock a couple times.
  18. - "Just a minute!" you hear Twilight call from inside.
  19. >Banging, clattering and magic poofs can be heard echoing about the library.
  20. - "He's here, he's here!" you hear her frantically say to herself.
  21. >After a while, the door creaks open with a panicked purple pony stood on the other side.
  22. >She's panting and sweating a little.
  23. - "Oh hello Anon, fancy seeing you around here"
  24. "You invited me here..."
  25. >She nervously laughs to herself.
  26. - "Oh I did didn't I? Silly me, I must of forgot, hehe..."
  27. >You know that can't be true, Twilight never forgets anything.
  28.
  29. >You follow her inside and sit at the table where the teapot stands, waiting.
  30. >She sits opposite you, and pours you both a cup.
  31. >You notice she's tied her mane into a ponytail.
  32. >That's very odd, Twilight isn't one to change her appearance, except for special outings.
  33. "Hey Twi, what's with the Ponytail?"
  34. >She awkwardly looks away from you and prods it with a hoof.
  35. - "Do you like it?, I heard you say once that you liked ponytails, so I thought I'd give it a try, did I do it right? I'm not so sure, I don't usually-"
  36. "It looks great on you, Twilight" you interrupt her worried rambling.
  37. >Her face begins to go a little red
  38. - "Thanks..."
  39. >She sips her tea, and you follow suit.
  40. >It's... cold.
  41. >Now you're definitely sure something is wrong, Twilight always ensures the tea is at the perfect drinking temperature for when you arrive.
  42. >You put your cup down on table and lean forward towards Twilight.
  43. "Is everything OK, Twi?"
  44. >She jumps in her seat, and gasp a little.
  45. - "Who, me?"
  46. "Yes you, are you alright?"
  47. - "Me? Alright? Of course I'm alright, Why wouldn't I be alright?"
  48. >Her eyes dart around the room, and she shuffles in her chair.
  49. "Well, you've been acting awfully strange recently, and I'm a little worried"
  50. >Her blush deepens, and she taps her forehooves together.
  51. - "Anon, can I ask you something... personal?"
  52. "Of course you can Twilight, we're friends right?”
  53. >She swallows a lump in her throat.
  54. - "It's just that, I was wondering, how do human relationships work?"
  55.
  56. >You lean back in your seat, her questions taking you by surprise.
  57. "Hmmm..."
  58. >You put a hand to your chin in thought.
  59. "Well I guess, they're sort of the same as pony relationships, good friends go to being more than friends, or something, I'm not really sure, I've never really done that sort of stuff before."
  60. >She stands up on the table, leaning towards you in shock.
  61. - "Really? I thought somepony like you would be an expert on this since your-"
  62. >She stops herself mid-sentence and return back to her seat, playing with her mane in embarrassment.
  63. - "I mean since you're, you know, so nice and all..."
  64. >You chuckle to yourself.
  65. "You flatter me Twilight, but I'm honestly no good with this, sorry I can't be of more help"
  66. - "No no, it's OK, really, I don't have any experience at all, I looked in some books about it, but they weren't very helpful"
  67. >You reach over the table and gently ruffle the top of her head.
  68. "Don't worry about it, I'm sure you'll figure it out, and whoever you choose as your special somepony is bound to say yes, how could they not?"
  69. >Her ears have lowered and she looks down in embarrassment.
  70. - "Thanks, Anon, I'm glad you're here today, you're such a good friend."
  71. "Anytime, and I'm glad too."
  72.
  73. >You pull your hand away and stand up from your seat.
  74. "Come on, let's go read something"
  75. >She nods at you and gets up from her seat.
  76. >You walk over to the bookshelves and scan through the various tomes available.
  77. "Hmm, what to read, what to read..." You murmur to yourself.
  78. >You feel a tap on your side.
  79. >Looking over, you see a book floating beside you.
  80. - "How about this one?" She asks.
  81. >You grab it from the air and turn it around to see the cover.
  82. >The title reads "Will you be mine?"
  83. >You peer up to see Twilight, trying her best to smile as an intense flush of red covers her face.
  84. >Is she asking you to- no, surely she wouldn't. Would she?
  85. >You look back and forth between Twilight and the book.
  86. >She remains silent, kicking the ground with a hoof, face still blushing like crazy.
  87. >Without a word, you return to the shelf beside you and quickly pull out a book.
  88. >You walk over and pass it to Twilight.
  89. >She takes it from you and slowly reads the cover aloud.
  90. - "The art of saying yes... by Iron Will"
  91.
  92. >Twilight explodes with happiness, she jumps about the room, giggling like a little filly.
  93. - "Yes! Yes! You said yes!"
  94. >She jumps over to the window and flings it open.
  95. - "He said yes! He said yes!"
  96. >Ponies passing by outside give her various looks of confusion.
  97. - "Oh, hehe.. sorry..."
  98. >She slowly closes the window and lets out a breath to compose herself.
  99. >Which is quickly ruined when she giggles to herself again and dances on the spot.
  100. - "I can't believe you said yes, this is great"
  101. >She disappears in a cloud of sparkles, before reappearing in front of you.
  102. >She snuggles up against you, rubbing her head against you.
  103. >You return the affection and pet her gently, slowly running your hand over her incredibly soft fur.
  104. >You remain in quiet embrace for some time, with no noise in the library but the soft, relaxed sighs that Twilight lets out.
  105. >Eventually, she pulls away and looks up at you, her beautiful purple eyes twinkle in admiration.
  106. - "Thank you Anon, I hope I can be a good marefriend for you"
  107. >You can't help but give her a big smile.
  108. "I couldn't ask for a better one"
  109. >She snuggles you one last time before pulling away and teleporting herself upstairs.
  110. >She opens a drawer and pulls out one of her famous lists.
  111. - "Now, according to my research, "couples" - usually consisting of one mare and one colt, should partake in "dates" together, choosing activities that both ponies enjoy"
  112. >She teleports downstairs again and pulls a chart down out of nowhere.
  113. >On it, is a Venn diagram, with you on one side and Twilight on the other, labelled "Dates" at the top.
  114. - "As you can see by this chart, I have organised activities that we enjoy to find common interests between us."
  115. >She then levitates a scroll over to you.
  116. - "I then drew up this timetable to accompany all the things we both like"
  117.
  118. >You look it over, and begin to chuckle to yourself.
  119. - "What are you Laughing at? Did I do It wrong? Maybe I should check the book again..."
  120. >She magics a book before herself and frantically flicks through the pages.
  121. >You slowly walk over to her, take the book, place it back on the shelf and crouch down infront of her.
  122. >She looks at you with worry and confusion.
  123. - "Anon, I-"
  124. >You raise a hand to silence her.
  125. "I really appreciate the effort you put into this, but we don't have to do everything now, we've got all the time in the world"
  126. - "R-really?"
  127. "I promise"
  128. >You ruffle the top of her mane again and return to your feet.
  129. "Hey I just remembered, isn't there that big meteor shower happening tonight?"
  130. >Twilight jumps and her wings shoot to her side in surprise.
  131. - "The meteor shower! I was so caught up with asking you, I completely forgot about it!"
  132. "Well what are we waiting for? Let's go! It'll be dark soon!"
  133. >she trots over to the door to join you.
  134. - "Oh wait, just a sec"
  135. >She quickly grabs a scarf and wraps it around her neck.
  136. - "OK, all done, let's go!"
  137.
  138. >You take Twilight to a hill on the outskirts of town.
  139. >No one else comes to this spot, so you've got it all to yourselves.
  140. >You throw the blanket onto the floor and sit down, Twilight sits beside you.
  141. >You both watch as the last slithers of sunlight begin to fade on the horizon.
  142. >Before long, the night arrives, the moon sits above you, along with a handful of stars.
  143. >Twilight points a hoof towards the sky, and tells you all the constellations and the stories behind them.
  144. >She's really cute when she gets going, she just seems so happy when she gets a chance to show off her knowledge.
  145. >A single meteor shoots past in the sky
  146. - "It's starting Anon!"
  147. >She shakes your arm in excitement.
  148. >Several more meteors begin to appear, amassing until they light up the entire sky.
  149. >The spectacular light show is breathtaking, a really amazing sight to behold.
  150. - "Isn't it beautiful, Anon?"
  151. >You put your arm around her and rub her side.
  152. "Yeah... it really is something"
  153. >You feel her shivering against you.
  154. >Being the gentlemen you are, you quickly remove your jacket and wrap it around her.
  155. >She nervously pulls it onto herself.
  156. - "Th-thanks Anon, that's really nice of you, but won't you get cold now?"
  157. >You pull her in close, her warm body pressing against you.
  158. "Now I won't" you say with a smirk.
  159. >She shuffles up to get comfy with you and looks back to the stars.
  160. >One particular falling star catches your attention, much larger and brighter than the others.
  161. - "Look at that one Anon! Quick, make a wish!"
  162. >You see Twilight close her eyes as she makes her wish.
  163. >She then opens them and looks up at you.
  164.
  165. - "Did you make one Anon?"
  166. "Of course I did, what was yours?"
  167. - "I can't tell you that! If I tell you, it won't come true!"
  168. >You chuckle aloud once again.
  169. "Please Twi, don't tell me you believe nonsense like that."
  170. >She scrunches her face a little.
  171. - "Well, why don't you tell me your wish then?"
  172. >You look away from her toward the sky.
  173. "I wished... that I would get to kiss Twilight Sparkle tonight"
  174. >You look back down into her eyes, which are completely transfixed on you.
  175. - "M-me too..."
  176. >The two of you slowly inch your faces closer together, until you are touching noses.
  177. >You put one hand on the back of her head, and the other on her back, gently rubbing her velvety coat.
  178. >Her hot breath caresses your face as you steadily pull her in to complete the act.
  179. >The two of you lock lips, and your tongues exchange each others touch as they play about with the other.
  180. >You swear you can taste a hint of raspberry.
  181. >You lose yourselves in the moment, so perfectly arranged for the pair of you atop this hill.
  182. >After a long and magical kiss together, you pull your mouths apart.
  183. - "Wow... that was... something..." she pants breathlessly.
  184. >She presses her head against your chest, and you hold her tightly against you.
  185. >As you look up to watch the last of the meteor shower fade away, you smile to yourself.
  186. >This had been an incredible evening.
  187. >But even better than that.
  188. >There were many more to come.
