  1. Urichinan's Twitter Notes on UNiEL's Byakuya (07/11/14)
  2. Source: https://twitter.com/Urichinan
  3.
  4. Byakuya
  5.
  6. Normals
  7. -5A is a horizontal stab in front of him
  8. -2A looks like 5A but hits low
  9. -j.A looks like 5A as well
  10. -5B is a full body attack. He lifts his hand and the blades all go horizontally in front of him from head to floor
  11. -2B is a downward attack. Slashes down with half of his blades until they reach the floor.
  12. -j.B hits in every direction
  13. -5C is a half screen triangular poke. Wide at the base, skinny at the tip.
  14. -2C is a low hitting launcher, upward at the tip
  15. -3C is a slow anti-air, hits in front of him, very wide
  16. -j.C looks like 5C, wide at the base, skinny at the tip. Knocks down
  17. -j.C also hits downward.
  18. -j.2C is multiple hits, can be charged. Spins his blades all over the place. Moves him down.
  19. -Charged j.2C seems to be untechable until they hit the floor?
  20.
  21. Dash Normals
  22. -66B is a slide with the blades on his feet
  23. -Byakuya's 66C is almost full screen. He raises his hand up in the air and then thrusts them down and towards the opponent with a "GO MY MINIONS! AHAHAHAHA!" look. All his blades start spinning and stabing all of the screen. Hits like 10 times and wallbounces.
  24.
  25. Specials
  26. -236 series are rekkas (up to 3 inputs). Moves him forward during each hit. First attack is a small hit in front of him.
  27. -Second rekka attack is a large hop hit
  28. -Third rekka attack is a multi hit spinning blade attack, knocks down
  29. -A/B/C changes the distance traveled for each rekka on the first hit, the further they go, the slower they start up
  30. -A/B/C affect the distance he hops and the height on the second rekka attack, I believe. Couldn't tell what the 3rd does
  31.
  32. -214 series are his trap sets. A/B/C change where he places the webs. Trap series are also rekkas.
  33. -A/B/C followups to trap sets change how high he jumps and distance traveled. A being the smallest, and C the largest.
  34. -Final trap rekka is different for each button. A is a small down-forward hit, knocks down
  35. -Final trap rekka followup B is a completely vertical knockdown attack. C is a a semi-circular wall bounce attack.
  36. -Trap jumps can be canceled into the followup from the time he jumps until he hits the floor. Very flexible
  37. -Doing trap jump followups A and C close the ground recovers almost immediately. B moves him up, so you stay airborne
  38. -Byakuya can can cancel trap jump B followup into air normal during his landing (Thanks @RisforRowanism) and first rekka hit into trap set
  39.
  40. -623 series is a spider crawl, and places a trap on the floor behind him. Might be inv. turns invisible for a second
  41. -A/B/C spider crawl I think just affects distance traveled. Hard to tell with the other guy moving.
  42. -Has a EX version of spider crawl. Seems to just shorten the recovery?
  43.
  44. -A+B (I think) tracks opponents. Summons claws above the opponents and stabs them. Crumples on hit. Might hit overhead?
  45.
  46. Throw
  47. -Byakuya's forward throw is him lifting the opponent up and slamming them on the floor with his claws. Looks like Relius' forward throw in BB
  48. -Byakuya's throw followup ([4]) I him just throwing the opponent up in the air behind him.
  49.
  50. Super?
  51. -Byakuya seems to only have one super, 41236C, giant rekka super, knocks down at the end. Didn't try his EX specials.
  52. -Also, I made a mistake earlier. Rekka super is EX rekka, 41236 is his Veil Off super.
  53.
  54. Combos
  55. -Byakuya basic combo is like 2A > 5B > 2B > 2C > 5C > 214A > 2C > 5C > Rekkas.
  56. -5A 5B 2B 2C 5C Rekkas
  57. -j.B 5B 2C 5C 214A~C~A 2C 5C Rekkas
  58. -j.2[C] 5B 5C j.A j.B j.C (Dropped it here)
  59.
  60. Character Notes
  61. -Byakuya's trap jump B is actually REALLY hard to combo off of, from what I've tried. Idk how the dude in the trailer did it lol
  62. -I need to note that Byakuya does WAY TOO MUCH DAMAGE ABC > Rekka does 2K+
  63. -Byakuya's 3C and j.2[C] launch To consistently get all the rekka hits you need to switch between A/B/C followups a lot. C Ender seems best
  64. -Byakuya's trap jump B followup seems to only be cancelable on hit?
  65. -5B 2B 2C 5C jB jA jC 5B 5C 236A 214A~A~B jA(w) 2C Rekkas I think combos
  66. -Byakuya's only charge move seems to be j2C. Can't find any others.
  67.
  68. System Info
  69. -Oh wait, more system stuff. A/B/C/D selects the first four colors for each character. Start opens the color menu
