*CrashmanX's SRW OE Menu Translation Patch is fan-made patch created to make the game more accessible by changing Japanese names and menus to their English counterparts. However keep in mind the patch is still a work in progress, the patch may and has caused issues with the game in the past. Due to the episodic nature of the game there is no guarantee that the current patch will work properly with future chapters or DLC.
If you plan on using the patch, backup your save, keep a "clean" unpatched iso on hand and report any bugs or typos you see (use the SRW OE General thread).

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
=========================
1) Download all that stuff.
2) Extract the PKGDecrypter somewhere and run it.
3) Drop one of the .pkgs onto the first line where you're told to do just that.
4) Set the first drop down box (that's the second box, period) to:  Extract Then (Decrypt, Dump) Files for PSP
5) Hit Extract in the lower right and wait. You can let it verify first if you want. If it bitches about filename length, allow the program to rename it.
6) Repeat for all of your .pkgs. They will go into their own little folders.
7) You should have a NPJH-50521.iso (main game), a bunch of assorted .EDAT files in a NPJH50521 folder (DLC), and two other files in their own NPJH50521 folder (Update). Merge the Update and Unlock folders.
8) Move your .iso to your ISO folder, and your Unlock+Update to PSP\GAME\NPJH50521
8b) If you're emulating this on PPSSPP, you can create PSP\GAME\NPJH50521 in the \memstick\ folder of your PPSSPP installation directory.
8c) If you're running PPSSPP on a phone, PSP\GAME\NPJH50521 goes in the root of your SD card or flash drive.

PATCHING INSTRUCTIONS

Using IsoTool:
After you have downloaded the tool, extract it and copy the iso_tool folder to PSP/GAME.
Copy the untouched ISO file of the game to memory sticks ISO folder.
1) Run the Iso Tool in your PSP.
2) Choose the ISO that you want to patch and press X.
3) Choose EBOOT decrypt from the ISO Menu and choose yes for all questions.
4) Once that is done, choose the ISO again and press X. Choose the Patch. option under ISO Menu this time instead.
5) Choose Patch Prometheus and press X to get your game patched.
6) Once that is done, you are finished! Congratulations! Just press the Triangle button on your PSP and exit the software to play your patched game!

Q: My game's not working.
A: Double-check the filesizes of your decrypted files.
ISO: 642 MB (673,710,080 bytes)
DLC: 375 MB (393,660,719 bytes)
Update: 5.91 MB (6,201,344 bytes)

Q: I don't think my DLC is installed correctly / how do I check?
A: When you start the game and hit the first option, if you get a warning screen blabbering about BGM, you screwed up. Alternatively, the second option brings up another screen with four options, the bottom of which is BGM. If that BGM option is greyed out, the DLC isn't installed properly. Check your DLC+Update again.

Q: This runs like shit on my emulator.
A: Disable Buffered Rendering. Hit Escape, Settings -> Graphics -> Prev Page -> VPS Limit to 30. Under Settings -> System, check "Unlock CPU clock". You may also try enabling Fast Memory. Make sure your PPSSPP is updated to the latest version as well.

Q: What is the 1.01 update?
A: It's a minor patch that fixes a problem with MAP attacks, that caused them to occasionally play the animation even if you choose to skip it.

Q: What is the 1.02 update?
A: Update 1.02 consists of the following:
- Minor switching of parameters for Units
- Game balances during Missions
- Menus are faster
- Bug fixes to crashes
- A bonus of 200,000 Credits and 2000 EC

Q: My game freezes when I try load a stage/ during group attack while using the menu translation patch.
A: Revert to an earlier version of the patch. Use version 0.4 if you are having problems loading stage 7-4 in chapter 2 :
