Pokemon Adventure! 11-1

Kaorin Sakura:
Last time, Team Oak had toughed their way through Route 3 and into Pewter City, finally able to challenge the Gym, purchase weapons and amor, pamper themselves with a Pokémon Center visit and maybe even visit the contest hall. Welcome to the World of Pokémon!
Andy:
Kia couldn't help but to release a small sigh of relief upon reaching the pokemon center and made her way up to the counter.
DNA:
Cepheus was likewise grateful. He was finally out of the woods and back in civilization. It had taken them way too long to trek through the firest, and he was tired.
* Nurse Joy takes notice of the two Trainers entering the Pokémon with one approaching.

Nurse Joy:
Bows down to Kia from behind the counter, "Hello! What can I do for you today?"
DNA:
(updated the box. The Cepheus in the box is outdated; the one on the main window isn't. Likewise, the Grace in the main window is outdated; the box one isn't.)

Narrator:
All the while, Kia's egg had already hatched and climbing out of her backpack was came a small creature climbing onto Kia's shoulder.
Andy:
"Hello! Could you please heal my pokemon please" Fumbles in bag pulling out six pokeballs and handing them over. Upon doing so she was shocked to see a strang brown creature climbing out and onto her shoulder. "Oh...why hello there...."

Narrator:
Swapped.
Andy:
"I see that you finally decided to hatch/ Welcome to the world my friend..sorry it started off in my back pack. " She offeres the creatuure a small smile.

Nurse Joy:
"Of course! Just a moment." Nurse Joy takes the Pokéballs and steps over to a machine, placing the six onto it and after a few moments she returns with the six Pokéballs, "Here you are. Good as new."

Narrator:
The Slakoth tilts its head to you and returns the smile best it can, "Raaaaaaaa."
DNA:
Cepheus took note of this small creature who'd already warmed up to Kia. "A Slakoth, hmm? Interesting."

Nurse Joy:
"Do you need your Pokémon healed as well?" Joy asks Cepheus.
DNA:
"Yes, please. that would help.
Player "Kia" is not connected.
You whisper to Andy: you can heal all your pokemon to full if they're injured.
Andy:
"So he is a slakoth?" Kia questioned as she took out her pokedex and scanned the new creature.
DNA:
"That's right. They're generally very lazy and don't move around much."
Andy:
Andy is healed and gains 0 hit points.

Lala:
Lala is healed and gains 1 hit points.
DNA:
"Its middle form, Vigoroth, is a sharp contrast to that - it literally cannot sit still even for a moment and it's unable to sleep. Then it reverts to Slaking and becomes lazy again, but Slaking has an amazing amount of power, and it's not to be underestimated."

Nurse Joy:
"Slakoth, the Slacker Pokémon. Normal type. It spends nearly all its time in a day sprawled out. Just seeing it makes one drowsy."

Artemis:
Artemis is healed and gains 6 hit points.

Vi:
Vi is healed and gains 33 hit points.

Narrator:
Quite contrary to both Cepheus' description and the Pokédex, Slakoth seemed quite awake and alert. If one looked close enough however, the Slakoth also looked slightly translucent.
DNA:
(Are its insides visible?)

Narrator:
They are not.

Narrator:
It seems as though you can see through it if you focus enough.
DNA:
"Hmm, that's interesting. What makes this one so alert?"

Nurse Joy:
"I'll take your Pokéballs to heal your Pokémon, if you'd like."
DNA:
Cepheus did so, handing his team of 6 over.

Nurse Joy:
Nurse Joy takes the Pokéballs and steps over to a machine, placing the six onto it and after a few moments she returns with the six Pokéballs, "Here you are. Good as new."
DNA:
"Thank you very much."

Vi:
"Well he doesn''t seem lazy at all...although there does seem to be something odd about it that I can't quite pinpoint, but that's okay, I'm pretty odd myself. That just makes Novis more special. Do you like the name Novis?" Kia questioned looking at the creature.
DNA:
"Novis? as in Orbis Librarium? It's okay, I suppose, but where'd you get the idea?"

Narrator:
Novis' attention turned to Kia as she spoke and gave a more vigorous smile to the name.

Narrator:
Just as you two began to speak, two teenagers no older than Kia stepped in through the front door of the Pokémon Center.

"Orbis Libr-huh?" She simply shurrged. "I think I saw it in a book once, and liked it. Fitting for a special pokemon."
DNA:
"All Pokemon are special, though, are they not?"

Danielle:
"Brandon! We're ready for this! I can feel it!" The young girl said, holding her arms above her head in a triumphant pose.

Brandon:
"I dunno...Carlos whooped us pretty bad the last four times..."

Danielle:
"We trained hard this time around! We're ready, I know it!"

Kia nodded. "They are...not one more special than the other. I gues I should say the character was unique...just like I have a feeling this guy will be."

Brandon:
"You said that the last two times, Danielle..."
DNA:
"...That makes sense."

Danielle:
"But we fought him single handedly last time not knowing we could challenge the Gym as a group! We'e been training together, fighting and collaborating our moves and Pokémon! Carlos and his Gym of Black Pokémon won't see us coming!"

Kia sneaks a look over at Cepheus hearing tidbit

hearing tidbit's of the teenager's conversation. "So we can challenge the gym as a group? That is awesome!"
DNA:
"Yeah, but they can probably do the same and fight us back as a group. I don't know if that bodes good or ill for us."
DNA:
"Could be a bit of both.
* Danielle takes notice of the other two Trainers, walking up to the counter with Brandon and getting their Pokémon healed.

Danielle:
"Carlos has a small team of Trainers under him that he personally trains and they all adhere to the code of Black coloured only Pokémon."

Kia nodded thoughfully, "Well after taking out those Rhyhorn I feel like our group can do anything..."
DNA:
"...which reminds me, I need to have a talk with Danny about how to not throw his life away."

Brandon:
"If you challenge the Gym as a group you have to face Carlos and a number of Trainers that equalizes the number of Trainers on both sides."

Danielle:
"Gawd, you make it so technical. Just say even numbers. If you face the Gym as a team of four, you face against four."
DNA:
"Moves that hit several targets at once would probably work very well. I'm not sure if we have many of those. Thunderbolt and Signal Beam I know I have..."

Brandon:
"That's a good plan."

Danielle:
"Except it doesn't matter! Carlos' Gym is built on survival."

Danielle:
"If you take out Carlos himself, you emerge victorious!"

"Why..thank you both. Other than knowing he was using black colored pokemon, we had no idea what we were walking into. Are these black colored pokemon dark types. or are their a variety of pokemon that are just black?"

Brandon:
"Don't forget you also have to take down the other Trainer if you're fighting as a group."
* Brandon nods.

Brandon:
"They're a variety of types."

Kia:

Danielle:
"I've fought a Normal type, Dark type, Flying type, Poison type...what else was there, Brandon...?"

Brandon:
"I don't know. I couldn't get past his Snorlax or Seviper. I've never seen anything beyond that."
DNA:
"...I can see the term 'black' is interpreted very loosely. Neither Snorlax nor Seviper are black."

Brandon:
"It's colour coded according to the Pokédex."

Brandon:
"But things get tricky when you add shiny Pokémon to the mix."
DNA:
"Yet its back is a green color, and its chest is...well, beige."
DNA:
"Seviper, however, can be black if it's shiny."

Danielle:
"For example, Scizor is Red, right? Well, it's categorized green if it's shiny."
DNA:
Most of what Cepheus said was just thinking out loud. He wasn't really talking to this people more so than talking at them.
DNA:
Or, more accurately, past them.

Brandon:
"Danielle, this is a good chance. Why don't we test things out with them? They said that handled a group of Rhyhorn and that takes skill..."

Danielle:
"Only if we're laying down cash. I need to buy more berries to make some poffins."
DNA:
"We didn't exactly handle them. Our leader ran ahead of the group and nearly got himself killed, so we did a hit-and-run and barely escaped."

Brandon:
"Your leader doesn't sound....smart."

Danielle:
"Yeah. It's dangerous out there! I don't ever travel alone."
DNA:
"He isn't."

Kia:
"He is just a bit....eccentric..."

Brandon:
"But more or less, it means you understand survival, which is what the Gym teaches. So, even better. What do you say? A battle to see where we're at?"

Danielle:
"And we both lay down 1500¥! Winners take all!"

Brandon:
"Not everyone here likes money, Danielle. She's also a Breeder, so you may be able to make use of her skills. She also makes poffins, so there's that too."

Danielle:
"I guess my work could be a reward. But who'd turn down cash?"
DNA:
"I'm not exactly a betting man."

Brandon:
"Neither am I, but most people like to throw out reward pots. How about you and me just don't put anything in?"

Kia:
"The experience could be good...I know I have a few new pokemon I haven't had the chance to test out.."Kia looked hopeful over at Cepheus
DNA:
"All right, that sounds acceptable."

Danielle:
"I guess that leaves us girls to throw in the 1500¥?"
DNA:
"It was your idea, not mine."

Kia:
"Sure. I don't mind. I have some extra cash. Let me switch a few things up before we start..." Kia goes over to the machine and starts swapping a few pokeballs out.

Brandon:
"If you don't mind, I'd like this to be a six Pokémon vs. six double battle? Carlos uses six so I'd like to get a feel for everything we have."
DNA:
"Each of us using three?"

Danielle:
"Whoo! I can smell those poffins already! Feebas will finally evolve!"

Brandon:
"Each of us using six, or having the potential to."
DNA:
"That would mean a total of twelve on each side then?"

Brandon:
"Correct, sir."

Brandon:
"I apologize if I didn't explain well enough. I'm still new in the career."
DNA:
"...Very well, that sounds reasonable." Cepheus wasn't sure whether or not to bite his lip. He wasn't sure how either of these people would react to his Pokemon - two of them could TALK. They might freak.

Kia:
After she switches out Luvddisc for venonat she returns. She gives a small smile up at the slakoth on her shoulder. "Would you like to stay out a bit longer and watch our battle?"

Danielle:
"Awesome! This sounds like a good time! Just let us know when you're ready!"

Narrator:
Slakoth nodded, remaining attached to her shoulder.

Kia:
"Alright I'm ready whenever."

Brandon:
"Alright. Are you ready, sir?"
DNA:
"I am." Cepheus clutched one of the Poke Balls at his side.

Brandon:
"Alright, let's get this started!"

Danielle:
"Let's keep to the strategy, Brandon!"

Danielle:
"Go! Charmeleon!"

Brandon:
"Hitmonlee! Let's do this!"
DNA:
"...Stratus. Go for it!"
Kia:
"Sarka..let's do this!"

Kaorin Sakura:

I think you're confusing it with Growth? Either way, here I go.
Kaorin Sakura:

Stratus:
Stratus advanced cautiously forward, its first order of business to try and hinder the opposition.

Stratus:
