World PTA Message

Hello,

I just wanted to give my feedback about the new rules for World PTA membership. As I'm listening to many of my friends who are wPTA in the last weeks, many of them (if not everybody), including me, are feeling that they won't renew their memberships because of the sudden increase of the membership price.

It's not only for the shirt price that's quite high, but the shipping and our country customs taxes that will make the membership value increase 3x more than the shirt itself.

A brazilian unnoficial fanclub made their calculations using our country system to give us an example of the costs and the final cost for us will be around 180 dollars, waiting for about three months for the shirt to arrive our country so we can receive and use our serial number.

We feel it difficult to spend that amount of money on a tshirt, since many of us aren't rich to compensate the shipping costs and the customs charges.

I believe there will be some changes to the official fanclub website, since of these higher costs, is that correct?

My suggestion is that World PTA could have different rules (just since the beginning, that we don't receive a membership card, nor magazines and DVD). World PTA is not prepared to work the same way as japanese PTA, that even with a bit higher price of the tshirt, it's still affordable, because of the cheap shipping costs.

As a suggestion, I believe there are more rentable ways of working with a fanclub outside Japan today, like using your social medias: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram. There are ways to build a solid relationship with the followers and bring them to be your final customers of you physical and digital products.

Per example, you can boost your membership numbers by sharing Perfume's events on Facebook and also letting the audience know that there are exclusive behind the scenes photos and videos of the event. "Join World PTA today to see more!" But World PTA would have to accept more payment methods, so the audience can subscribe to the fanclub more easily. I think that way you would increase the profit from your international audience.

Well, I'm afraid I won't be joining World PTA the next year. The costs are too high for me. But, if you consider on changing the terms for the international members, I will consider on joining once again.
