  1. >"I want to talk to your manager."
  2. >"Ma'am, the coupon expired a month ago. It is no longer valid, it won't apply anymore." you try to explain for the fifth time. She's been holding up the line for ten minutes straight. You're not sure if you can keep this up anymore.
  3. >"Motherfucker, I want to speak to your fucking manager!" she yells, slamming her hand on the crumpled coupon before you.
  4. >A baby's been crying in line since she started, the mother's trying to console it while giving death glares to you and the coupon lady.
  5. >Two kids further back are arguing about something and stomping their feet. In front of them is a very tired father having lost the gusto years ago to tell them to shut it.
  6. >You inaudibly sigh, forcing a smile as you call the manager, Adam.
  7. > "Hello, sir... A customer wants to speak to you."
  8. >You can hear him sigh through the phone. He knows what that usually means. "Which register?"
  9. >"Number 8, sir."
  10. >"On my way." he says, hanging up the phone.
  11. >The coupon lady still looks absolutely livid. "He'll be here shortly, ma'am."
  12. >"Good." she huffs, mumbling under her breath "Wasting my goddamn time..."
  13. >Soon enough, Adam shows up. You're about to tune out to avoid listening to her screeching any longer, but you hear something off in the distance.
  14. >Heaving, and something wet hitting the floo- Oh fucking goddammit.
  15. >You try to ignore it, but Adam hears it too. With another heavy sigh, he looks to you and says "Go-ugh, go get the dust packets, I'll call a janitor over."
  16. >'Fucking shit.'
  17. >It was near the jewelry display, and it was absolutely everywhere. You think some of it got underneath the counter too.
  18. >Looking at it's bad enough, but the smell was worse. You felt your nostrils burn. Forcing yourself from throwing up and adding to the mess, you start pouring on the vomit absorbant.
  19. >By the time you finish, you still have two more hours of work to do, and the line to your register doesn't look any smaller.
  20. >
  21. >
  22. >
  23. >After what seemed like half of a day, you're finally able to check out.
  24. >After the coupon lady, the remaining customers have been more civil. Definitely not perfect, but far better than she was.
  25. >You walk towards the exit and discover that it's raining. Hard.
  26. >Rushing to the car, you reach it without getting completely wet.
  27. >Before you got in, you noticed something trailing out from under your car.
  28. >A flow of water with the colors of the rainbow.
  29. >Dammit, the car's leaking oil again. Fucking cheap-shit mechanics.
  30. >Deciding against getting any more wet than you already were by studying the leaking oil, you unlock the car door.
  31. >At least you try to.
  32. >The lock wont turn.
  33. >You jiggle the key, trying to get it to shift.
  34. >Barely a budge.
  35. >You're getting drenched.
  36. >You take out the key, putting it back in to try and unlock it again.
  37. >Still no luck.
  38. >After another minute of fumbling with the car door, God feels mercy for you and it finally unlocks.
  39. >You scramble inside, you're soaked to the bone.
  40. >You feel ice cold.
  41. >In fact, you still feel rain hitting you.
  42. >'"Fucking, fuck, fuck!" you mutter, noticing the window to your door slightly down.
  43. >The seat soaked up the water like a sponge, and the foot mats are wet too.
  44. >You roll the window up, the onslaught of rain upon the driver's side of the car ceasing.
  45. >Every movement you make causes a wet squelch, water seeping out at the slightest amount of pressure.
  46. >You just want to get home, dammit. You feel dead tired.
  47. >You almost consider falling asleep, but the chill of your wet clothes persuade you otherwise.
  48. >Firing up the engine, you pull out of the employee parking and make your way home.
  49. >The rain keeps up it's harsh tempo, battering your windshield even when you're still.
  50. >Through the rain, you hear something else past the sound of the rain and engine as you travel home.
  51. >A rattling from the front of your car.
  52. >You don't have anything in the glove compartment and the dash is clear. You're no car expert, but you can deduce that something's loose.
  53. >"Cheap fucking shit car with cheap fucking shit parts and cheap fucking shit mechanics not fixing the goddamn shit fuck car." you groan to yourself.
  54. >Finally, after many more grumblings and agitations, you pull into the driveway of your home.
  55. >One of the living room lights is on, and a second car is to the right side of the driveway.
  56. >You feel a bit happy about her being home. At least you have someone to talk to and relax with.
  57. >The rain hasn't slowed a bit, if anything it probably sped up.
  58. >After a quick check to make sure the windows are still up, you take out the keys and lock the car.
  59. >No need to rush for cover, considering how wet you got outside your car.
  60. >Unlocking the front door, you exit the harsh cold and enter the warmth of your home.
  61. >Water is dripping from you at every spot, not a single article of clothing remains dry.
  62. >Removing your soaked shoes first, you leave them near the front of the door before drifting towards your bedroom.
  63. >The thought of dinner crosses your mind, but you feel too fatigued to care about that right now.
  64. >Trailing water from the door to your bedroom, you finally reach your small sanctuary.
  65. >Piece by piece, you remove your drenched clothing and throw them into the laundry basket on top of the pile of your and Winnie's clothes.
  66. >After drying yourself with a towel from the bathroom, you crawl into bed as you try to warm up beneath the covers.
  67. >A few minutes later, you hear soft footsteps approach the bedroom.
  68. >You open your eyes to see a small, dark figure in the doorway.
  69. >"Mhnn mmnnn." you groan out tiredly, trying to greet Winnie with half of your face pressed against the pillow.
  70. >Small vibrations course through the bed as she gets on and crawls next to you.
  71. >"Bad day?" she asks softly as she gets under the cover.
  72. >"Mhhm hmmm."
  73. >You feel Winnie's burning hot hand briefly touch your shoulder before shooting back to her side. "Crap, you're as cold as a corpse!" she exclaims.
  74. >Lifting your head up from the still cold pillow, you look at Winnie and respond "I feel like a corpse."
  75. >You notice that she's only in her undergarments, spotting her shirt and pants next to the laundry basket.
  76. >"Want to talk about it?"
  77. >You grunt. "Lady at the store wouldn't stop yelling at me about her expired coupon. Guy vomited and I had to go clean it up, took half an hour to do. Car door wouldn't unlock while it was pouring. And I left the window down and the seat got rained on. And the car's leaking oil. And to top it all off, something in it's loose."
  78. >You didn't want to go into detail. You just want to forget about it all, try to get warm again, and take a quick rest.
  79. >Her hand touches your shoulder again, rubbing it and spreading her heat around.
  80. >"Want to hear about my day?" she says.
  81. >"Sure."
  82. >You can see her give a slight smile through the darkness.
  83. >"Work was alright, had to get some cheap, junk lunch to eat in time. Rain got me a good amount before I left... Nearly crashed the car."
  84. >"Again?"
  85. >"I keep telling you I hate using it! I can barely even reach the- ugh, nevermind."
  86. >You couldn't help but laugh at how huffed up she got, her smile becoming an upset pout.
  87. >"But besides that... I'd say today's a good day." she continues, her small grin returning.
  88. >She stays silent, as if she's begging you to ask why.
  89. >"Why do you say it's a good day?"
  90. >She hums, shifting herself closer to you. You already feel the temperature increase as she inches closer.
  91. >Her mouth close to your ear, she whispers "Because you're here."
  92. >You know you heard her tell you this before to cheer you up. Maybe she forgot she did, but it didn't fail to make you feel happy.
  93. >With a quick move, you wrap your arms around Winnie and bind her in a tight hug, much to her discomfort.
  94. >Gasping from both surprise and directly touching her with your freezing body, she shouts "Cold! Cold!" as she tries to push you away.
  95. >She's like an electric blanket, oh so wonderfully warm and soft.
  96. >Though electric blankets aren't quite as squirmy or threatening to use brute strength or claws to remove you from them.
  97. >After several seconds, she finally pushes you off of her and starts rubbing her chest and stomach.
  98. >Thankfully, your body no longer feels like a human popsicle. Your legs are still cold, but at least your torso's a bit warmer now.
  99. >"God, don't do that asshole! Thought I was going to go into shock!" she yells.
  100. >You laugh at her reaction, and you continue to laugh even as she smacks your arm.
  101. >Winnie huffs. "Feeling warmer now, after you took it from me?" she asks.
  102. >"Yeah, you make a good blanket." you jest.
  103. >She turns her back to you, arms crossed. "I WAS going to help you feel better, but if you're gonna be that way..."
  104. >You know she's feigning anger. At least partially, she's probably a bit peeved about sapping her heat.
  105. >"Aw, come on Win... Maybe I can pay you back?"
  106. >Her head turns back to look at you, you can briefly see a small smile before she jumps back into her angry expression. She's definitely being playful right now.
  107. >"And what do you have for me? It's got to be good for nearly freezing me..." she asks.
  108. >"I got some sugar I can give you. That enough?"
  109. >Good lord that was cheesy as all hell.
  110. >You think you hear Winnie snicker at that, but she doesn't deter.
  111. >On her hands and knees she crawls to you, stopping until she's back beside you.
  112. >Her fake anger's replaced with a sly grin.
  113. >"I guess that'll do. It's gotta be a lot though." she says.
  114. >That was even worse than what you said.
  115. >She swoops her leg to your other side, placing her hands next to your shoulders to hold herself above you.
  116. >You reach up with your head to give a quick peck to her lips, using your arms to embrace Winnie once again in a hug.
  117. >As her body touches yours again, you can feel the cold spot you left on her fur, but that doesn't matter now.
  118. >You peck her lips once more, then you keep your lips pressed against hers in a true kiss.
  119. >Her fur tickles your face, and her warm lips heat you up with every second you remain connected.
  120. >As you continue to "exchange sugar", you can feel her body slowly become hotter.
  121. >You'd probably be slowly constructing a tent as Winnie lays against your naked body, be it not as cold as an ice pack.
  122. >Though through the kissing, you occasionally feel her leg brush against it, the soft fur and warmth slowly revitalizing it.
  123. >Winnie stops kissing, taking a break to breathe as she rests on your body, her head nestled on your shoulder.
  124. >You can feel her heartbeat on your chest as she lays atop you, soothing any remaining aches you still have.
  125. >Her bright, autumn hair trails on below her shoulders.
  126. >You brush it with your hands, avoiding causing any tangles or discomfort.
  127. >Like her body fur, it's just as soft. It reminiscent of brushing a cat, funny enough.
  128. >Winnie's head shifts, her fur grazing the skin of your neck.
  129. >'What is she doing?'
  130. >You feel her sharp teeth graze the near back of your neck, an electric jolt coursing through your body as she softly nibbles it, gasping in response.
  131. >She lets go, lifting her head to look at you. She looks worried.
  132. >"You okay?"
  133. >Blinking, you answer "Yes... Yes, please, do it again."
  134. >Shooting a toothy grin, she lowers her head back to your neck.
  135. >Nibbling it once more, another wave of pleasure hits your body.
  136. >You can feel her pointy teeth poke at your skin, but she stays careful as to not draw blood.
  137. >Her hot breath washes your neck as she continues to bite you neck.
  138. >Lightly, she starts to lift the neck skin between her teeth.
  139. >It slips out, scraping against her canines as it leaves her mouth and snaps back against your muscles.
  140. >Your nerves are afire.
  141. >She repeats this several times, each as pleasurable as the last.
  142. >You can see movement near Winnie's legs, something moving left and right as she toys with your neck flesh.
  143. >It's her tail; she's wagging it, probably at your reactions to her sensual biting.
  144. >"Did, mmhn, you learn this from Sibella?"
  145. >"Maybe." she giggles.
  146. >She removes her head from your neck, resting her chin on your collarbone.
  147. >The same sensation you felt on your neck has moved to your ear, specifically your earlobe.
  148. >Like before, she bites and pulls back on the skin, letting it scrape past her teeth and out of her mouth.
  149. >Your tools of the trade are no longer frozen solid, feeling it snake its way up your groin.
  150. >On the second time though, your ear's started to sting.
  151. >Touching it with your finger, you see a speck of blood.
  152. >Winnie's taken notice, she says "Oh crap, I'm sorry, I'm sorry!"
  153. >It's not a bad wound, just a small scratch left by her teeth. You forgive her.
  154. >Instead of resuming her biting, you feel something squishy and hot touch the wound repeatedly.
  155. >She's licking it, and it's quite pleasant.
  156. >You stay silent and let her continue, until after half a minute she stops.
  157. >"Thanks Win." you say.
  158. >Winnie lifts herself off to look you in the eyes, giving a small smile.
  159. >She nods her head to embrace you in a kiss once more, which you oblige.
  160. >You reach up with your hands, placing your left on the back of her shoulder and the other on her ribs, and rub them as you both continue to kiss.
  161. >She pulls her lips away slowly, grinning once again. You stop rubbing.
  162. >She lowers herself back on top of you again, laying her head on your chest and wrapping her arms around you.
  163. >The hair tickles you as she finds a comfortable spot, ceasing once she finds where she wants to be.
  164. >Winnie releases a sigh of pleasure. She slowly closes her eyes.
  165. >Her heartbeat's a bit faster than before, and you can feel her chest move with each inhale and exhale.
  166. >Aside from your feet, you feel completely warm, and the worries of the day have melted away from your mind.
  167. >You place your hands and arms against her back, moving your fingers around the sea of soft, brown fur.
  168. >Her form slightly rises up and down as you breathe, best you can tell anyway behind the mass of orange hair.
  169. >What a relaxing sight.
  170. >After a few more minutes, her breathing slows and feels warmer near her mouth.
  171. >'She must be asleep already.'
  172. >You caress the back of her head. Your eyelids start to feel heavy.
  173. >You'll have to thank Winnie when you wake up later.
  174. >Because she made today a good day.
