- Ange (narrating) "According to [Maria?], from the beginning, a witch had resided in that place called a school. No, she says that anywhere that a lot of people gather will most certainly have a witch residing there."
- This witch tries to steal the students' souls through death by disease or accidents
- Maria says that an angel came down to fight the witch
- The fight lasted 7 days and nights
- The witch asked for a truce
- 'Until now, I have made half of the students in the clss become sick or injured. But in exchange, I have protected the remaining half of the students from sickness and injury. Therefore, if one member of the class becomes a sacrifice to me and is made into the 'bullied kid', I shall protect all of the other students from sickness and injury.'
- Maria is happy to be the bullied person if it means that she can save the other people from being bullied

- Rosa tells Maria to buy a bento at a convenience store
- Maria's room has a lot of stuffed animals (and pumpkins)
- Maria is told not to take Sakutaro with her to buy the food. Maria puts him in a knapsack.

- He asks about Ange jumping off the building
- Apparently there was a safety net on the side of the building since there was remodeling going on on the building
- She had apparently survived even though she went through the safety nets and a banner
- The person talking with her says that she is surely Kinzo's grandchild, trusting her life to luck
- The person asks why she doesn't return to the Sumadera family
- Ange "I heard that Mom had a bad relationship with her family" (ok, is she talking about Kyrie? Did she have a bad relationship with her parents? If so, why was Ange left with them when she was sick?)
- Ange "I don't want to go to the house of peopl I first met at a funeral." (Does that mean it might be Hideyoshi's family if she is refering to Eva as 'mom'?)
- So it was Kyrie's family and Ange was only on good terms with her Grandpa
- Kyrie was the same, only on good terms with the grandfather
- Strict old family from Kyoto
- The grandfather was almost hated by the grandmother
- Eva is dead now
- This person says that they 'think of [Ange] as [their] true grandchild'
- So this person might be an executive in the Ushiromiya business (calls Eva the chairman)
- Ange "The old gentleman was one of those leaders who, after Eva had passed away, had been entrusted with the business group she had built up."
- This person was a business friend of Hideyoshi and Eva and had later become a close friend of Eva and a confidant of sorts
- Executive Guy "That crime was, ...no, that accident. If I call it a crime, I'll get in trouble. ...I have the same questions about that as the public and the talk shows."
- Ange "...At the time of the accident, why was Eva oba-san in a place 2 kilometres away from the mansion, all alone?"
- They think that Kinzo was unable to choose who would be the next successor and so he designed this game so that it might not be Krauss
- This executive thinks that maybe Kinzo always planned on having Eva as the head
- Exec "There was no need for anyone to solve that epitaph. Once it had been displayed for an appropriate amount of time, Kinzo-san would just call Eva-san, who he truly wanted to succeed him, (dotted) and give her that answer."
- Exec "On that day, Eva-san was called by Kinzo-san, and that was revealed to her. And so that she could succeed the head, he called Eva-san to the hidden mansion Kuwadorian, which only the head knew about
- Ange "And because Eva oba-san arrived at the hidden mansion one step ahead, she escaped harm in that accident, you say? Maybe Eva oba-san just killed everyone and made it look like an accident so that she could steal all of the wealth, and that's why only she escaped unharmed."
- The exec points out that the head ring was brought back by Eva which indicates that she had Kinzo's trust
- Exec "Possibly,...she might have committed murder just once in her life to grab this chance to have the Ushiromiya family wealth all to herself. ...But you know, I don't think that's true."
- The exec also points out the fact that Eva's family was killed too
- Ange (narration) "The servants who escaped harm by being off-duty on that day also stated that they hadn't seen anything strange regarding anyone related to the event, Eva included."
- Ange doesn't believe Eva and the exec does
- Ange refuses to believe because she hates Eva (c'mon Ange be an actual detective for once)
- Oh great, now the exec is talking about love
- Exec "...Depending on whether you feel love for the other side, the way you see things is completely different."
- The exec says that truth doesn't exist except in extreme circumstances
- He then says that even if it does exist whether or not you believe it is determined by whether or not you have love or not.
- Exec "Can you really call truth without certainty truth?"
- Exec "So it's pointless to investigate anything more, correct? Because (dotted) the truth inside of you is already decided."
- Exec "Without love, the truth cannot be seen."
- The exec's name is Okonogi
- Ange says that she's made appointments with several specialists and people related to the crimes so that she can investigate further
- Okonogi's secretary comes in and hands him a memo
- Okonogi says that he has some information that Ange should listen to
- He says that Ange is in 'a bit of a nasty fix right now'
- The Sumadera family want Ange's money
- Someone from the Sumadera family is sending a messenger over to 'protect' Ange
- Holy, this music... This is hype af
- Kyrie's younger sister is coming
- The Sumadera family won't take no for an answer
- Okonogi tells Ange to escape in a car that he has prepared
- Okonogi "...Everything in this world is ... love, you see..."
- Ange is trying to escape
- She avoids the ground floor and parking lots
- She goes out an emergency exit on the third floor
- She sees a guy who is smoking a cigarette
- Ange looks down and doesn't see anyone
- A black van pulls up
- They see Ange
- Kasumi (Kyrie's younger sister) is a bitch
- Kasumi says that Okonogi called her to Tokyo
- Okonogi is a boss
- The Sumadera family is declining
- Kasumi vaguely hints at torture
- Ange jumps off of the escape and lands on the car roof to escape the three security guards
- One person was still in the car and holds Ange down
- And yet another person appears; Amakusa
- This person, Amakusa, helps Ange into a getaway vehicle and takes her away from the Sumadera family
- Full name of this guy: Amakusa Juuza
- Ange says that she may need him for a while so that they can investigate Rokkenjima
- The people with the Sumadera family report that Ange has escaped
- Kasumi vaguely threatens Okonogi with torture too
- Kasumi is still a bitch
- Kasumi decides to send the police after Ange
- Kasumi says that Ange is just like Kyrie
- The car in the basement parking lot was Amakusa's
- Okonogi didn't sell Ange out
- Ange "Because paranoia told me that it was better to guess that he had sold me out, I supposed and (dotted) decided (end dots) that 'he had sold me out'
- Ange asks Bern what truth is
- Bern says that truth is unfixed
- Bern says that truth can change it's appearance by being observed
- Ange says that Schrodinger's cat is just armchair theory and that you just have to open the box
- Bern says that she's right but in order to deny the abstract theory you need to open the box
- Bern "It is impossible to negate any idea about the contents of a box that cannot be opened. This is what truth is."
- Ange "In other words, if it isn't exposed, any reckless statement can suffice as truth."
- Bern "I wonder what you could learn. ...This is something that can only be done by the person who is able to walk around freely in the world of 1998, 12 years in the future, the final witch, ANGE Beatrice."
- Ange compares this idea to the fact that we don't know about the death of stars until long after they are already dead
- Ange "The false truth that exists before the light from an exploding star reaches Earth is almost like the conspiracy theory, which is the human theory."
- Ange references the wine bottle with the message in it as the thing which painted over that theory and introduced the witch theory
- Ange says that the witch didn't exist until she was 'observed' years later by humans thanks to the message
- Ange freaks out momentarily that Beatrice satisfied the Devil's Proof by sending the message in the bottle, denying all other possibilities
- Bern says that the message is something that is only observed by ANGE not Battler or Beatrice
- Ange admits that she has thus far dismissed the witch theory
- Ange and Bern are now going to read the message bottle
- 2:51 October 4
- Eva remarks about how Nanjo said that Kinzo would live 3 months last year
- Nanjo says that he only spoke from what he had determined at the time
- The other siblings want to see Kinzo
- They want to see him to see how he is doing
- Eva, Rosa, and Rudolf all group together in saying that, since Kinzo doesn't have long to live they should be allowed to talk with him one last time
- Natsuhi says that they could talk with Kinzo if the topic really was a greeting
- Natsuhi says that Kinzo does not wish to talk with them since all they are after is the inheritance
- Krauss knows about the financial situations of all of them
- The children are again at the beach
- Eva almost tackles Krauss but Hideyoshi intervenes
- Kyrie starts speaking
- Kyrie says that Krauss has had to have the job of taking care of Kinzo this whole time
- Kyrie says that since Krauss takes care of Kinzo he should be acknowledged as the successor
- Eva objects but is shut down by Rudolf
- Kyrie "Krauss nii-san. ...If you would accept just a few conditions, we won't ask you to let us meet Father again until he dies. Of course, we won't tell you to let us see him at the moment of death. ...We could even be absent at the funeral."
- Kyrie lays out the conditions:
	1. "The term successor to the head refers to the caretaker of the current head, Ushiromiya Kinzo."
	2. "The duty of the caretaker is to look after Ushiromiya Kinzo for the rest of his life. To make things simple, the caretaker's job is to care for him until his final moments."
	3. "On the off-chance that the caretaker is neglectful in his responsibilities of supervision, he is deprived of his rights as a caretaker."
- Krauss doesn't like this condition
- Krauss asks what these responsibilities are
- Kyrie "It measn supervision so that Father can live the rest of his life in the best possible health."
- Kyrie "In the case that Father dies anything other than a natural death, the caretaker's rights as a caretaker are deprived, and his status as the successor to the head is lost. In that situation, the next highest ranked, Eva nee-san, will be selected as the successor."
- Krauss says that old people can sometimes die by accident, like choking on food and that this would mean that he would bear responsibility
- Kyrie says that it would only be the kind of thing that the caretaker could prevent by taking good care of Kinzo and keeping their eyes on him.
- Kyrie says that a case would be if Kinzo disappeared
- Kyrie says that if Krauss tries to say that Kinzo disappears into the forest one day, as an example, the other siblings won't accept that
- Kyrie says that everyone has suspected it before now
- Heeeeyyy! It's the theory that Kinzo is already dead and there is a 19th person occupying his slot.
- Battler "It wasn't guaranteed that (dotted) the 18 names of people = the 18 people on the island."
- Ange "There are several conditions for the person who was used to hide the name of the culprit. ...First of all, even though they weren't on the island, they were someone who we believed was on the island."
- Ange "And it would be desirable for that person to be dead. ...After all, no alibi exists that is more perfect than death. Because at that point, the mystery was based on the fact that it was impossible for all 18 people."
- Battler "Repeat it!! If you can announce that the 18 people on the island included Grandfather, just try and do it!"
- Beatrice "Shall I slice that in two with the red truth? No, no, it might also be good to hold back for now and let you get all excited."
- Beatrice is refusing to repeat things in red since it doesn't benefit her
- Ange "The witch has no responsibility to respond when you tell her to repeat something. But it does become her responsibility only when your claim can destroy the witch theory. Because in this trial court without a judge, that which is not refuted becomes the truth."
- Ange forces Beato to say that Battler's arguments must be countered by midnight on October 5th in one minute
- Beato forces the same restrictions on Battler's side. They must have a counter for the mysteries presented
- Beato "When explainint my magical murders with human tricks, you can state things in blue. I am responsible for countering your blue with the red by the end of the game."
- The blue has to deny witches
- Battler figures out that he can use multiple theories at the same time (wow! much think, very reason)
- Battler uses the blue
- Kyrie has nicely cornered Krauss
- Kyrie "The only way to (dotted) kill him without an autopsy (end dots) would be for him to disappear."
- They say that they don't need Krauss to sign anything just to pay them security money
- Kyrie says to pay 3 billion yen to each of the siblings and to deposit the first 10% by the end of the year
- Hideyoshi says that if they just talk with Kinzo then there is no reason to worry
- Krauss "...I understand that all of you strongly desire to meet with Father. ...I will pass that on to him. ...I'll convince Father somehow so that he will meet with you. ...How is that?"
- Krauss and Natsuhi go out to try and persuade Kinzo to eat dinner with them
- Shows Krauss and Natsuhi talking with Kinzo (?)
- Kinzo tells Krauss that he heard what had happened from Kanon
- Kinzo picks Krauss up with one finger and chokes him
- Kinzo says that he will not go to dinner that evening but that after that he will join them for the conference
- He also says that he will make a great announcement regarding the succession

- Rosa comes into the mansion with Maria
- Maria had been out in the rose garden with an umbrella
- Again, Maria had gotten into a fight with Rosa and had been told to stay there
- Maria had waited out in the rain
- Maria says that she is more hungry than anything
- Rosa tells Maria to promise to find shelter next time it starts raining like that
- Kanon was the one who brought the towel
- Maria and Rosa are all good now
- Jessica says that at that age Natsuhi had always been telling her to study
- George says he was the same but he realizes now that it was for his own sake
- Gretel (Ange) drops a cup on the ground
- Gretel had probably actually thrown the cup from how violently it shattered
- Nobody understands why she got so upset
- Ange talks with Maria who doesn't understand why Ange is so upset
- Ange pulls a book out of nowhere
- It's Maria's diary
- Maria is saying that Ange is trying to paint things over with her own version of truth
- Shows phone conversation between Rosa and Maria
- Rosa says that she won't be able to come back home for a while. Rosa had forgotten a promise to go to the movies with Maria
- Rosa tells Maria not to tell teachers or other adults that she isn't coming home
- Diary "Mama works so much overtime that she doesn't come home until late. ...Because she had a date or something she always came home after drinking a lot of alcohol, even though it wasn't strong, and with a pale face, she would go straight into the shower and then to bed."
- The diary also says that Rosa had overtime on the weekends and had to stay over and almost never came home
- Sakutaro says (I feel weird writing that) that Rosa probably does love Maria
- Sakutaro "I remember when Mama spent the whole night by your side, crying."
  Maria "Yeah. ...Didn't understand why Mama was crying, ...but Mama was so sad, ...and Maria couldn't do anything but stay silent by Mama's side."
- Sakutaro "I remember the last thing Mama said then. ...She said 'thank you, Maria'. ...Mama said that just by being by her side, you were her only ally in the world."
- Sakutaro says that they should have a pajama party and that Maria should welcome Rosa back with a smile
- Maria has the party and writes a letter to Rosa saying that they should share their happiness
- Maria says that she was happy which Ange questions
- Ange interprets things very differently
- Maria says that Ange is sad
- Maria says that even thought there is a fact about a pajama party written in her diary different people will take it differently
- Maria tells Ange to stop trying to paint over a happy 'truth' with a sad one
- Maria says that Ange is unable to become happy because she doesn't have the power to look at her reality in a happy way
- Rosa comes back and is greeted by a happy Maria which confuses her
- Rosa also starts to feel happier
- There were two presents: A Scotch cake and a bunch of ceramic figures
- There is also a background to go with the figures
- Maria takes Rosa's coat
- Something falls out of the pocket of the coat
- A receipt or ticket stub falls out of the coat
- Diary "It looked like a ticket for the Green Car or the Shinkansen or something. ...Atami? Wasn't that a famous place for its hot springs...?"
- Rosa hits Maria for seeing the stub
- Quick Wikipedia search says that Atami was also famed for its onsen geisha. Basically, bath house prostitutes. Chances that Rosa is actually a clothing designer is pretty low right now.
- Sakutaro says that Maria didn't do anything wrong and that Rosa will go back to normal after she has had a shower
- Maria says that Ange is looking for happiness in the wrong way. Ange says that Maria is the one who is wrong
- Maria is kind of fooling herself and making up excuses so that she can be happy
- Maria says that people who can't find happiness right beside them won't be able to find it at all.
- Something about Tyltyl and Mytyl looking for the blue bird
- Maria "You're the complete opposite, Ange. You're searching for a world without a Fragment of unhappiness. But even that's the same as the blue bird. So you will be unable to find your happiness for all eternity. ...Battler is Hansel? He isn't the blue bird...?"
- Rosa sees the letter that Maria had left her and goes out and hugs Maria
- Rosa apologizes to Maria
- Maria says that 'she' will teach Ange the power to being happy
- Beatrice "I shall teach you in MARIA's place."
- Beatrice "The 'power' that MARIA has, but you do not."
- They say that it's magic
- This Beato seems... different
- She giggles with Maria
- They are now in Kuwadorian (?)
- Beatrice meets Sakutaro
- Sakutaro becomes Beatice's friend

- Virgilia "...When it comes to writing documents of power, this child's talent is splendid. It seems you could even work as a secretary in the spirit world."
- Beatrice "By the name of the Golden Witch, Beatrice, I now acknowledge Sakutarou, MARIA's child."
- Sakutaro became a boy/girl
- Narration "Then, when that light disappeared... ...There, Maria's friend Sakutarou held a new form and (dotted) existed."
- Beatrice says that there is no need for thanks and that she and Virgilia are doing this out of respect for Maria's magic and out of respect for Sakutaro
- Beatrice "From this point forward, you may call yourself MARIA, the Apprentice Witch of Origins."

- So this person looked at the books half a year after the events at Rokkenjima
- Person "Correct. It was explained that those books had escaped the disaster at Rokkenjima."
- Eva had apparently put these books up for auction
- This guy is really excited about these books
- Professor at a college and good with western folklore
- He really studied western magic
- Tips say his name is Ootsuki
- This guy says that Kinzo was one of the top five authorities on demonology in Japan based on the books. He also says that Eva has no education in folklore
- Narration "However, at that point, not even half a year had passed since the accident, and despite the extraordinary circumstances, it was not established that the others had been missing long enough to be presumed dead."
- It looked like Eva was in a tight spot financially since it looked like she couldn't collect any money from the deaths
- The Ushiromiya library contained many vital documents which had never been found before.
- The professor says that this discovery made Rokkenjima famous around the world. It also shocked people that similar books were probably lost in the accident
- The message in a bottle that was found had the same effect as the library; it made the island an occultic place
- A young fisherman found a wine bottle with a letter in it apparently
- The letter, from the handwriting, looked like it had been writen by a different person. Not Maria as the message claimed
- It does seem like it was written by someone more skilled at writing and older than Maria
- Narration "However. Later on, it was confirmed that a similar message bottle had been recovered from the nearby ocean on the day of the accident by the police in their search for lost articles, and this caused a sensation."
- Ootsuki "It seems that, due to evidence from the surrounding area and the fact that the bottle was sealed, the police had decided that its likelihood of being a fabrication was low and that it had been abandoned no earlier than a few days before the accident. And the handwriting for both matched."
- Ootsuki asks if Ange needs an explanation of the contents of the bottle and Ange says that she knows about it more or less (damnit Ange)
- Narration "Many scraps of paper had been stuffed into both of the wine bottles. It was an extensive notebook written by someone calling themselves Ushiromiya Maria who wasn't Maria, and which told of the events starting the day before the accident and up until the day of the accident in a diary-like way."
- The contents of the diary had the title of the 'Witch's Legend Serial Murder Incident.'
- It also had the title the 'Golden Witch Beatrice's Puzzle'
- The diary tells about how the family were pinned to the island by the typhoon and were caught in a resurrection ceremony and killed one by one in inexplicable ways.
- Former servants at the house confirm that whoever wrote it was someone who knew the details of the island
- People still try and land on the island even though it was forbidden to try and find out what went on and look for more bottles.
- Ange says that the fisherman's paper and the police's had completely different contents.
- Ootsuki says that she is correct
- Even though the bottles were of the same two days and written in the same handwritting they were totally different
- Only the beginnings and endings of the two accounts are the same
- Ootsuki "In the beginning, the 18 people including the relatives are sealed up on the island by the typhoon. And in the ending, everyone dies, the Golden Witch is revived, and everything is flung into the Golden Land."
- In both diaries the murders are outlined but in different orders (though both follow the witch's epitaph), and die in different ways. Even the 'tale of the two days' was different.

- The Professor says that he would like to use magic so that he wouldn't lose to bullies and that he would like to become one even now even though he knows it is impossible
- Ootsuki "It's my pet theory from my few experiences with women that they are all witches."
- Ange asks if Ootsuki has seen the messages himself
- He says that he has and that he is familiar with the handwriting
- Ange shows him Maria's diary and turns to a paragraph that starts 'to my beloved witch apprentice' and is signed at the end in katakana Beatrice (notice that the katakana would make it BEATRICE)
- He recognizes it
- She pays him but he just wants to study the book
- He calls her Sumadera-san
- Ange and Amakusa are talking in the car
- Ange asks to sleep
- Ange told Ootsuki that she was Sumadera in order that people would give her information (the Sumadera family basically put a bounty on her head)
- Report from Sumadera employees "According to the family, a young man and woman calling themselves Sumadera visited this morning, took the professor out with them and still have not returned."
- Ange is pissing of Kasumi (good job Ange)
- Ange is staying in an expensive hotel that is very confidential so as to escape her persuers
- Ange remembers having her name listed down with the witches
- Ange slept in the bedroom and Amakusa slept on the sofa in the living room of the suite.
- Amakusa says that the sofa is more comfortable than his own bed recently
- This takes place at 2 am
- Maria pops out in her new outfit
- Maria keeps saying that she taught Ange how to use magic in the past and that she could supposedly use it
- Ange says that she remembers and that she's started wanting to use it

- Ange checks that nobody is watching and that everything is quiet
- Maria is saying that the anti-magic power is overwhelming Ange with her power as weak as it is
- Maria says that practice as a child is worth more than practice as an adult; Ange brings up Kinzo
- Ange takes out 'a shady-looking stake-shaped weapon with an occult design inscribed on it.'

  Maria "Greed also controls aspirations, the desire to improve oneself, and the strength to live. It definitely doesn't mean only bad things. ...She's rude, but she's a girl who tries really hard."

- Maria warns Ange that she is no longer protected by the alliance and give Ange a talisman. She also says that Mammon may still bear a grudge
- Ange chants the line and uses magic
- The stake rises into the air and flies around the room
- The stake tries to go for Ange's forehead but is stopped by the magical talisman

- When Mammon realized that she couldn't kill Ange she gets docile

- Maria says that the mental world has to be isolated so telling someone else about your mental world means that you aren't isolated anymore. She says that you can't reveal you mental world to anyone
- Ange manages to imagine something big and vast by pushing the ground below her away.
- Sakutaro says that she's stepped into the world of witches
- Maria says again that, because Ange is in the Mariage Sorciere, she can summon things from other witches.

- Maria wants to transfer control over to Ange
- Lucifer suggests that Ange may not be able to handle it

- Ange "Until then, the inside of my head had only been used for myself. It was almost like it was now being used for seven other people."

- Mammon "These guys, all of them are sheltered brats. Feels like they aren't even alive."
- Ange "So I'll train much, much more, ...then take the thing that I really want to call to me, ...and summon it."

- Ange's hair accessory is something to remember Battler by and so it can become her vessel for summoning him
- Ange "Long ago, without telling Dad, I went with Mom to meet Onii-chan, and we went to play at an amusement park. ...This is a prize from the crane game there."
- Flashback to getting the hair accessory
- Ange "The processof grabbing happiness with my own hands felt very important and sacred to me."
- Ange "With his arms that were longer than mine, Onii-chan grasped the happiness that I couldn't reach."
- Mammon "The Witch of Resurrection, Lady ANGE...!"
- Ange says that the seven sisters form a single whole and that none of the family can be left out
- Hey, we're finally back to Ange being upset at Maria and Rosa
- Ange feels someone's presence: it's Mammon
- Mammon has been sent by Beatrice to bring Ange back
- Mammon seems to have some kind of pain from trying to say something
- Narration (Ange) "Mammon moaned as if she had bit her tongue, staggering as she clutched her chest. Apparently, the rules apply to people other than me as well."
- It looks like Mammon just froze in the middle of leading Ange back to the game
- Lambdadelta pops up now
- Ange says that the rules don't apply to Lambdadelta and she confirms it (apparently having to do with calling Ange by her name)
- Narration (Ange) Even compared to Bernkastel, there's something strange about Lambdadelta's existence."
- Lambda says that she wants to tell Ange something good. Ange refuses to listen
- Lambda "My opponent is Bern, not you. ...In other words, it is possible for there to be a topic that benefits both you and I."
- Lambda "I just came to resolve your misunderstanding. ...No, that's not quite it. I came thinking I'd inform you about the lie Bernkastel told you."
- Lambda says that Bern made it sound like Battler would come back if they won
- Lambda "That kid is surprisingly cruel. (dotted) To think she'd deceive you, even though she knows."
- Ange remembered Oct 6. She had been playing with building blocks and had gotten a call at her Grandfather's house
- Lamda "HEY. ON YOUR OCTOBER6, 1986, DID BATTLER ONII-CHAN COME HOME?"
- Ange doesn't understand what Lambda is saying
- Lambda is saying that the Ange that she is talking to is an Ange from a future where Battler does not return home. In other words, if she succeeds she still will not have Battler released in her world, only in another world.
- Lambda "You aren't Ushiromiya Ange. You're a witch's piece with that name. Strictly speaking, the name ANGE Beatrice belongs to a completely different person."
- Lambda "No reward has been prepared for you in this battle. No, to the contrary, when smashed, Beato's game board will disappear. Then (dotted) you, as a piece, will disappear."
- Ange is getting overwhelmed by Lambda. She is now questioning who she is and saying that she is ANGE not Ange.
- Lambda "You know, Beato does want to win a bit. Victory by making Battler surrender. But that's actually a problem for me."
- Lambda "After all, if the game ends, the closed room will fall apart. ...So I'll go easy on Battler to a certain degree, so that he does not surrender. Don't worry, alright? When Battler's about to surrender, I'll become his ally."
- Lambda says that Bern threw Ange in to break the deadlock
- Lambda wants Ange to continue the tie for all eternity so that she can be with Battler always
- Lambda tells Ange to become her piece so that the game can continue
- Lambda says that she'll clear the rule that binds her
- Lambda says that on his own Battler won't be able to win against Beato
- Leviathan and Asmodeus are playing around with Mammon's donut
- Satan tells them off
- Mammon "I like learning things that no one else knows. I like being able to do things that no one else can do. So I like studying and practicing."
- Ange has progressed in magical power
- Ange has made the Seven Sisters her friends since she is all alone in school
- Ange says that she's a little tired so she's going to take a break.
- The younger sisters come and want to play
- All the sisters love Sakutaro
- Maria says that she can remember anything about magic but is bad at remembering other things
- Maria wrote the word 'rifle' (in katakana) on her test and was punished for not writing the Japanese word. After that Maria wrote everything in hiragana but got in trouble with Rosa and teachers for some reason (not using kanji?)
- Sakutaro mentions a bunch more animal friends that Maria has as well
- Maria asks if resurrection of her family is really Ange's goal
- Maria says that Ange shouldn't doubt or it will become the toxin
- Asmodeus says that they want to play shiritori

- Ange asks what use they are if they can't kill humans

- Belphagor is the next to go after saying that Ange doesn't have the power and that killing the girls will make the situation worse.
- Ange calls them all worthless and kills Beelzebub and Asmodeus
- Mammon says that furniture can only do what their masters are capable of. Mammon says that if Ange kills then they will follow suit
- Ange says that she told them to do it because she can't do it herself
- Ange says that they were all phantoms and that she hasn't had a friend ever.
- Mammon "Yeah that's right! We're an illusion inside your head, Ange-sama, but so what? Yes, that's truue! We're just imaginary friends created to soothe lonely, lonely Ange-sama's heart because she doesn't have a single friend, but so what? If you want to look at reality, just look at it. You can stop looking at us and return to being surrounded and bathed with jeering over there!!"
- Mammon says that Ange is abusing them in the same way she is being abused
- Sakutaro asks if the Sisters are dead
- Maria "It looks very gruesome, but those are the remains of the vessels after being deported from the human world. They're shells that have been shed."
- Ange says that she wants Maria and Sakutaro to disappear by themselves because she doesn't want to kill them herself
- Crazy face Maria
- Maria is protecting Sakutaro from Ange's denial
- Ange continues to deny Sakutaro saying that he is just a stuffed animal
- Maria tells Ange to stop
- Flashback to some other time with young Ange and Maria (?)
- Y. Ange "Maria onee-chan, you're we-ird!! There is no Sakutaro-! Stuffed animals are stuffed anima-ls! I learned from Mama that they're made of cloth and co-tton!! There's no way they can walk or ta-lk!!"
- Young Ange denies that stuffed animals have life and Maria gets super upset at her
- Maria says that she hates Ange and that they are through
- Maria says that she won't let Ange be one of the witches anymore
- Maria "Upon my name, the Apprentice Witch of Origins MARIA, I hereby expel the apprentice witch ANGE from the Mariage Sorciere Alliance of Witches...!!"
- Ange gives in to the bullies
- Narration (Ange) "I acknowledged that I had slipped into the world of my daydream, trying to remain separate from the others in my class."
- Ange says that she should have died in 1986
- Ange "But even so, ...my soul that was killed is still locked up inside this cage of flesh."
- Ange asks the girls in her class to kill her
- None of them do so Ange concludes that reality and daydreams are the same
- A teacher comes into the room
- The teacher saves her
- Maria "...If Ange believes that is the only way to become happy, then it is the only way. ...If she cannot accept the blue bird in the cage for what it is, ...then she must go and search forever."
- Wonderful... another Maria scene... great... kill me...

	Ok, side tangent for just a sec (sorry to anyone reading this). Ryukishi, what were you thinking? Seriously, I don't care. I really don't. I don't mind you introducing Ange. I'm fine with shaking things up. Hell, you introduced new characters in the last episode so why not here, right? But seriously, stop trying to cram all these slow scenes in at the very beginning. I'm tired of it. Take me back to the action. I want to see some logic battles. I want some murders to solve. I want some red vs blue truth action. I want Beato to cackle. I want to see some characters that I've become attached to do some things. I want you to stop trying to cram several episodes worth of characterisation into one long beginning of an episode. I'm tired of Ange. I'm tired of the lack of information for a lot of these scenes. I'm REALLY tired of Maria and Sakutaro (really? ANOTHER character that makes a 'cute' sound all the time?) and I just want to get some hard information about the mysteries. I want to be done with these scenes. I'm really not ok with all this. Spread out these scenes dammit. Don't create this dense, slow wall of Ange/Maria magic bullshit. Give me SOMETHING to keep me going. I know there are some scenes that are ok in there but your spacing out the COOL scenes not the SLOW scenes. The slow has taken over and it's making it hard to read. I'm just really tired and need to get some anger out. I expected better, Ryukishi. I really thought that you could pace better than this. Did Higurashi teach you nothing about pacing? Seriously, cut this shit out.

- Maria and Sakutaro are both in Maria's room and Sakutaro asks if he really is a stuffed animal
- Maria denies this
- Maria says that she hates Ange
- Narration "Sakutaro felt regretful. By freezing her heart, Maria had finally been able to escape from her sadness. ...By speaking up and calling her back, he had caused her to be overwhelmed with sadness again..."
- Sakutaro tries to cheer Maria up
- Sakutaro says that Maria still has lots of friends there
- Sakutaro suggests that Maria take some of the small animal figurines that Rosa got her to school so she won't be as lonely there
- Maria "Maria won't let any more humans come into her world. ...Mariage Sorciere is an alliance only between Maria and Beatrice."
- Maria does take some of the small figurines to school
- Maria gets in trouble when Rosa and the teacher find out that she has taken some of her toys out of the house
- The man at the cash register pities Maria's situation
- The man gives her some oden
- Maria is told to go straight home
- When she gets home it seems to be locked
- Ah, Maria has forgotten the key somewhere
- Maria says that it was in her pocket partway through the trip back from the store
- Narration "Something that should have been there... wasn't where it was supposed to be. Why isn't the key there, when Maria didn't do anything wrong?"
- Maria throws a tantrum
- Narration "It wasn't her fault. So it's someone's fault. But Maria didn't know who that someone was, and could do nothing but continue to let out a moan of anger."
- Sakutaro convinces Maria to retrace her steps to look for the key
- Maria gets all the way back to the store and hasn't found it. She asks inside the store and they haven't seen it. She then returns home and still doesn't find it.
- Maria tries again and goes back to the store
- The man asks if she still can't find the key and asks if she's tried talking with the police
- Maria "...Mama said not to talk to policemen, even if they start talking to Maria."
- Maria tries one more time and this time when she gets back to the store there is a police man
- Maria doesn't talk with the police man at first.
- The police man takes her to the polic box, heats up her dinner and talks with her about Sakutaro
- Maria tells the police man Rosa's work phone number 'which she had been told to tell no one of and to use only in a very, very serious situation."
- The police man does call somewhere called Anti-Rosa Ltd.
- The place where the police man is calling from is the Komatsugawa Police Department police box in front of the Senbonzakura Station.
- The person who talks with the police man says that Rosa is on vacation
- Receptionist "Yes. Starting yesterday, the president has been on a three day vacation."
- Another person in the background "Heard she was going for all you can eat crabs in Sapporo with her boyfriend. Aaaw, I'm sure such a cold place would do wonders for shrinking the distance between them, don't you~?"
- Maria is then taken to the police department where she spent the night
- The police officers question her about herself
- Maria talks with the district welfare officer
- The woman says 'you poor thing' to Maria which makes Maria wonder if she is a poor thing
- Sakutaro "That's not true... you're happy, Maria..."
- Eventually Rosa comes back
- Maria is sent to her room but hides around the corner to listen in on the conversation
- Rosa is talking with the welfare officer
- Rosa, talking like that to a welfare agent is a good way to lose your kid
- The welfare agent seems to have suggested taking Maria and putting her somewhere else
- Rosa says that Maria is delicate and that other kids might cause her a lot of grief (no.... really? ya think?)
- The welfare officer points out that if Maria is so delicate then should she really be home alone like she has been
- Rosa says that it might not be Maria that everybody has been seeing
- Sakutaro gets brought up when the welfare officer mentions the fact that Maria has been seen with her
- Rosa workers said that she was in Hokkaido with her boyfriend but Rosa says that she was working.
- Rosa screams at the welfare worker to get out
- At this point Maria sees Rosa in her fury and thinks that it couldn't be her mother
- Maria thinks that it is some evil thing posessing her body
- Rosa gets mad at Maria for taking her lion with her (and presumably making herself recognizable)
- Teacups breaking all over the place
- Maria is apparently voicing Sakutaro during this and this makes Rosa madder because it is how people remember Maria
- Maria starts to speak using Sakutaro. Rosa tells her not to do that and smacks her. Maria then goes back to the whole 'Sakutaro isn't a stuffed animal' schtick
- The school knew that Maria was bringing toys and overlooked it because they knew that they were Maria's only friend. However, then other kids started to complain that only Maria could take animals with her
- Rosa takes one of the rabbbits and smashes it against the wall
- Rosa says that if Maria disobeys her again then she will break another one
- Wellfare officer "Miss... you think to call yourself a mother after doing something like that?!!"
- Rosa tells Maria that if she is going to have stuffed animal friends then she should go out and make some real human friends
- Rosa takes Sakutarou from Maria
- Rosa smashes Sakutaro into the wall over and over
- Maria starts yelling to give Sakutaro back which just makes Rosa madder
- Rosa rips apart Sakutaro
- Sakutaro 'dies'
- Rosa "(dotted) Sakutarou is dead."

- Beatrice says that as long a Maria believes that Sakutaro exists then his soul will not disappear
- Maria throws a fit
- Maria doesn't understand why Rosa made the lion and then broke it herself
- Narration "From the darkness behind Maria's back, two massive jet-black arms crept out, twisting around Maria as she sobbed in anger. Then massive fingernails stuck into Maria's chest and stomach..."
- Maria can't see it but Beatrice can
- Narration "Anger and sadness without any place to go will tear you apart. ...Beato knew that. She could see that. Yes. ...In the end, those massive arms were Maria's own. Those fingernails slowly started to eat into her chest and stomach..."
- Maria says that if Sakutaro can't be brought back then she wants revenge
- Maria wants to kill Rosa
- Beatrice "Very well. I shall give you that power. ...FOr tearing you and your beautiful heart apart... for giving you that pain, it is fitting that your heartless mother be torn apart considerably."

- Ange is on a boat
- Amakusa is on the deck doing some stretches
- Ange had come up on the deck holding Maria's diary which she had just been reading
- Ange "I'm not so naive as to seriously think that the truth of 12 years ago will be revealed."
- Ange is looking at her rooftop experience in a more worldly light, without witches
- Ange says that this journey is only for her own sense of self-satisfaction
- Ange "People work hard when they want to be acknowledged by someone. ...In most cases, that someone is their parents. Children learn how to work hard because they want to be praised by their parents."
- Amakusa says that it doesn't matter who or if someone praises you. It only matters if you can accept it
- Amakusa "The anguish of the human world comes when you want someone to acknowledge you, but you don't know what it is you should be striving for. I had a time like that too. I wanted someone to acknowledge me, but I didn't know what I wanted them to acknowledge about me."
- Amakusa goes back inside to see the captain leaving Ange alone on the deck
- Mammon appears and says that life is nothing without greed
- Ange says that because people have a limited life span you can't just want your entire life
- Mammon says that people would then be living only so that they can have a better death (satisfied death)
- Ange says that people don't know who should be acknowledging them
- Ange "The ultimate in self-fulfillment is acknowledging yourself."
- Amakusa, according to Ange, is on bad terms with his parents
- Ange (probably talking about Maria) "I've described her as an abnormal kid, as a little strange. However, ...that wasn't rue. She did nothing but stick her chest out, ...so that she could finish that journey faster than anyone else."
- Ange thinks that that is what made Maria amazing
- Maria thinks that for something to be happy it only had to be happy for her and other people's opinions don't matter
- Ange "Whether magic exists, or not. ...That's not up to other people to decide. It's up to your yourself."
- Ange "Mariage Sorciere is the Witches' Alliance Maria onee-chan created."
- Ange (talking about Maria wanting to share magic with people) "So when no one would understand magic together with her, she closed herself up in a shell."
- Mammon points out the fact that, if Maria could accept herself, then it wouldn't have mattered about Ange denying her (THANK YOU MAMMON! SEE? SOMEONE GETS THE INHERENT ABSURDITY OF MARIA!)
- The magical alliance was built up so that witches could acknowledge each other.
- Ok... I'm not going to even get into the bad philosophy going on here. Descarte and shit idk
- Ange thinks that the journey she is on now is to apologize to Maria for denying magic on that day.
- Ange "I don't know why, but that's what I think. ...If I hadn't hurt her, ...the incident 12 years ago might not have occurred. ...That's what I think."
- Ange has no basis for this thought
- Ange thinks that maybe this was for her benefit. Beatrice is showing her that magic does exist
- Ange revives Sakutarou
- Ange says that whether or not magic exists does not depend on her but on someone out there in the world believing that magic is real
- The stakes are frustrated that Ange is trying to deny witches even though she has potential to be a great witch
- Ange "Yeah, whether magic exists (dotted) to me (end dots) or not that's up to me to decide. Whether magic actually does exist somewhere in the world or not, you see?"
- Ange is saying that magic could exit in someone elses world but that it might not exist in hers
- Ange (thinking) "Because I acknowledged them, they (dotted) showed their reunion's joy to me as well."
- Ange questions why Maria wasn't able to summon Sakutaro anymore
- Sakutaro says that Maria had decided that he had died when she saw him torn up
- Mammon says that if MARIA had decided that, in her world, Sakutaro had died then he can't exist in her world
- Ange says that after that event the contents of Maria's diary and the purpose of the alliance changed to how to curse people you hate
- Ange says that Maria's diary showed Maria die and 'be reborn as the evil witch personality MARIA.'
- Ange thinks that the only way to atone for denying witches to Maria earlier is to revive Sakutaro in Maria's world
- Narration (Ange) "Amakusa is carrying what looked like a quite large and heavy golf bag"
- Ange does not ask what is in the bag but imagines that it can't be anything peaceful

- Battler tells Shannon she can go back now but she says that it is her duty
- Battler says that they were chased out
- George says that staying out of their way is probably the best idea for right now
- Jessica thinks they are just talking about money
- George says that Shannon isn't greedy at all since most girls her age have lots of things that they want to buy
- Shannon "I guess. But none of the things I want can be bought with money."
- Jessica starts teasing Shannon about these things that can't be bought
- George asks Jessica about if she is able to get closer to Kanon
- Narration (Battler?) "Apparently, the family head, Kinzo, was personally going to be making a very serious announcement, and everyone other than the adults had been strictly ordered to leave."
- It says Battler's name in third person. Not Battler narrating right now
- According to Jessica, tense atmosphere tonight
- Battler thinks that his theory is torn apart and Beatrice gloats
- All of the relatives and Nanjo in the dining hall
- Nanjo is alone
- Krauss is in his seat with Natsuhi standing by his side
- Other siblings gathered at the opposite end whispering
- Rosa says that Maria told her that the person who gave her the umbrella was Kinzo
- Eva thinks that it might have been a trick with Kinzo luring them into openly arguing about the inheritance
- Eva is kind of falling apart
- Kyrie says that she doubts whether Maria actually got the umbrella from Kinzo
- Hideyoshi "However, what was it that Maria-chan said? 'Grandfather came, and then handed me the umbrella'."
- Kyrie says that the whole issue of the umbrella is pointless really
- Rudolf says that the time is almost 22:00 (why is he talking about time like that? That's really weird to use military time)
- Krauss "...Calm yourself. We won't get anywhere by making a fuss after all this. ...Let's leave it to Genji-san."
- Multiple sets of footsteps can be heard
- There's a knock
- Gohda and Kumasawa appear
- Gohda says that he's finished closing up the house
- Kumasawa says that staying up late is still one of her specialties.
- Krauss "...The order was to gether all of the servants as well. I cannot disobey."
- A single set of light footsteps is heard
- Shannon appears
- Genji and Kanon were apparently going to meet Kinzo
- A very loud knock is heard
- Narration "Both Genji and Kanon were usually very reserved when they knocked. They wouldn't hit the door with such a violent strength."
- Genji appears and takes a tone of voice that indicates that he is speaking for Kinzo
- Everyone sits down in their seats and the servants stand along the back wall
- Genji "...The head of the glorious Ushiromiya family, and lord of Rokkenjima, the island that sparkles gold. Lord Ushiromiya Kinzo is present."
- Genji opens the double doors along with Kanon. Genji opens the right door from the inside and Kanon opens the left door from the outside.
- Kanon and Genji bow as Kinzo appears
- Hard to believe that Kinzo was at the end of his life
- Kinzo laughs.
- Kinzo "Welcome to Rokkenjima, ladies and gentlemen. Why the frightened face, Evaa?"
- Kinzo says that he is disappointed that none of them had been able to solve the epitaph
- Kinzo says that he will suspend the use of the epitaph choosing the successor.
- Kinzo says that Krauss will not succeed him
- Kinzo "The next head isn't something that's guaranteed by the current head at all!"
- Kinzo "The next head? That's what you call someone who finds everyone else who's after the headship, thoroughly breaks their noses, and makes it so that they can never disobey again."
- Kinzo says it's the same thing with money. A rich person is someone who crushes those who have more money than him
- Kinzo says it's the same with talent. A genius is someone who crushes those with talent and coerces those with talent to call them geniuses
- Kinzo says that neither Eva, Rosa nor Rudolf are his successors.
- Kinzo has both times used the word 'no' in English
- Kinzo says that they were unable to corner Krauss and so they aren't fit either
- Kinzo "In order to get what you want, you should pay all sacrifices, become as covetous, as greedy as possible...!! The goddess of luck smiles upon the greedy!!"
- Kinzo says that he's lost the desire to hand his fortune over to anyone and so the Ushiromiya will end with his generation.
- Kinzo "The current Ushiromiya family is nothing but an illusion of gold I have seen for an instant. ...The likes of which will end when I awaken from my slumber. Everything in this world is a dream, an illusion. ...Life is but a daydream before the awakening called death."
- Kinzo says that losing everything was Beatrice's contract and curse
- Kinzo "Foolish children such as yourselves are truly a daydream! It's as though you were never there from the beginning!! Disappear! Wake up!! Disappear from the doze of the truth that is me...!! Your failures that have not built up anything that makes you worthy to succeed me!!"
- Nanjo asks to speak
- Kinzo allows it
- Nanjo "Because you love your children, you expect a lot of them, and as a parent and grandparent myself, I understand the parental affection that can make you feel as though these expectations were betrayed."
- Nanjo says that Kinzo is a genius and asking his children to be on his level might be asking too much and that they've tried their best
- Kinzo "Money is the crystallization of everything in this world. If you cannot grasp that, then you cannot grasp the world! If a life cannot strongly grasp this world, it doesn't deserve to live!!"
- The siblings cheer on Nanjo
- Only Nanjo can talk to Kinzo in a rage
- Nanjo says that the siblings have built up families
- Nanjo "Remember your joy when they first brought back their grandchildren...!"
- Kinzo asks Krauss if Jessica is worth 10 billion
- Natsuhi answers that she is
- Kinzo asks the same thing to Eva
- She brags about George
- Kinzo asks the same of Rudolf
- Rudolf says that Battler is an idiot but that he thinks Battler will be able to do things that no body else could do
- Rudolf goes on to say that Battler's life will be more pleasant than looking at 10 billion average people."
- Kinzo asks about Maria
- Rosa says that Maria's value can't be measured
- Kinzo "Dreams and the future, miracles and possibilities are the source of my magical power. No magic without hopes holds any power."
- Kinzo says that the siblings may not be worth anything but that the grandchildren might be with the hope of the future
- Kinzo says that it would be interesting to question the grandchildren to see if they are qualified.
- Eva immediatly says that George is worthy
- Kinzo says that he will individually question the grandchildren to see if they are worthy
- Kinzo says that this does not mean that they will get anything. He says that he won't give them anything.
- All of the siblings agree to this decision
- Kinzo says that he will think of how to test them and that has nothing to do with the siblings
- Kinzo says that he will talk about something that concerns them though.
- Kinzo says that the true reason for this conference is cooperation for Kinzo's ceremony
- Kinzo had been known to have ceremonies before. One of which was burning a strange incense and filling the house with the stench
- Kinzo says that the ceremony is to revive Beatrice and open the door to the Golden Land.
- Kinzo "I have said that I shall choose 13 people from among the humans on this island and offer them as sacrifices for the ceremony to revive Beatrice."
- Nanjo "Kinzo-san, ...you weren't...possible...serious about what you said back then...?! It wasn't a joke?!!"
- Kinzo tells Nanjo that it wasn't a joke
- Kinzo "Yes, this is a game! If gaining my fortune and leaving the island is your goal, then there are only two ways to achieve it! Will you escape being chosen as one of the 13 sacrifices and spectacularly survive, by finally solving the riddle of the epitaph and stopping the ceremony, ...or will you kill me! And thereby stop this ceremony. Those are the only two ways!!"
- Kinzo "To all of you, what will occur now before your very eyes may seem like a dream, an illusion, something that couldn't conceivably be of this world, and a world that defies understanding."
- Kinzo summons the Pendragon Memorial Troops (bunny girls)
- Siesta 45 appears
- Siesta 410 appears
- Siesta 00 appears
- Kinzo says that they are allowed to kill 6 people at random
- 410 fires and gold loci is drawn everywhere hitting Natsuhi in the left half of her face
- Kinzo "Natsuhi was it? A luckless woman to the end."
- 00 fires too hitting Rudolf
- Now everyone reacts and starts to run and scream
- Hideyoshi comes to his senses faster than anyone else and tries to pull Eva away
- Hideyoshi gets killed next
- Krauss runs at Kinzo but 00 holds him back
- Narration "[Krauss] still tried to resist and attack Kinzo so 00 lifted Krauss by the nape of the neck, and twisted into his Adam's apple with her thumb. It seemed to be very painful, and Krauss was overcome with agony."
- Nanjo says that they have to escape and that seems to wake people up
- Gohda and Kumasawa try and escape but 410 blocks the way
- Kyrie tries to swing a chair at 410 but 410 catches it
- Genji, Kanon and Shannon stand silently by the wall
- Kyrie thinks that this is because they are with the enemy but then Genji is killed by 45
- Kinzo "You will become one of the 13 keys essential to the resurrection of my beloved witch."
- Kanon "...We're nothing more, ...than the witch's pieces. ...Nothing more... nothing more..."
- Narrator says that Kinzo was in the truest sense carrying out these murders at random
- Eva is killed next by 410
- Rosa swings a chair at Kinzo
- Narration mentions how, if she had had this bravery before she would have had a life that was more free and unrestrained
- There is a 'bursting sound'
- Rosa is killed next by 00
- End result (in the order Kinzo gives them) "Eva, Rudolf, Rosa, Natsuhi, Hideyoshi, and Genji"
- Kinzo says that he will introduce them to his friend, Ronove
- Ronove appears
- Ronove "Pleased to meet you, everyone. And good day to those of you I haven't seen for a long time."
- Ronove "I am pleased to make your acquaintance." Narrator "Just who was he aiming that introduction at?"
- Kanon and Shannon seem to recognize Ronove
- Kinzo then brings up Virgilia
- Virgilia "...Thank you for summoning me, Master."
- Kinzo calls her his friend and reliable counselor
- Kinzo calls her the Witch of the Finite
- Kinzo says that he can still summon many more people when Ronove and Virgilia remark at his summoning capability
- Kinzo summons Gaap
- Virgilia "Gaap...? You can even summon her...?"
  Ronove "It probably means that the corrosion has advanced even more on this island."
- Virgilia and Ronove seem to say something about Battler not surrendering
- Ronove "Well then, shall we enjoy this stage? It seems the main character is the Master this time. Let us expect a script of a different flavor than Milady's"
- Drill hair demon appears with a sound like glass breaking
- This is apparently Gaap
- Gaap asks what is going on "Is this Pandemonium?"
- Kinzo says to capture those who survived
- Kinzo tells Gaap to throw them into 'the cage of sacrifices'
- Krauss is 'swallowed up by the floor'
- Kyrie, Kanon and Shannon are next
- 410 jumps back from the hole sucking up Kanon and Shannon and so Kumasawa and Gohda are able to escape the room
- The Siesta Sisters ask permission to fire on the two escapees
- Kinzo says that it is too early for the second twilight
- Kinzo says that it is what the source of his magical power says which Virgilia reminds us is 'noise and rise and tests of luck'
- Virgilia "In other words, it means being fickle, it seems."
- Gaap says that she can't understand the very idea of playing with risk
- Welcome back Beatrice
- Beatrice "So, that man who can be more persistent than anything when he follows you around, can shine so when on the stage."
- Ange says that Beatrice has noticed that this way of killing is 'ideal'. Battler asks how it is ideal
- Narration (Battler?) "By now, perhaps there are more demons than humans among the characters appearing in this insane tale. ...Their numbers might be the thing that represents this mad corrosion."
- Gaap calls Beatrice Riiche
- Gaap says that Beatrice looks younger and then looks at Battler and says that she understands
- Beatrice says that she's violating the closed circle idea
- Gaap is fashion conscious apparently
- Ange says to remember the first game with the shed
- Review: Rudolf, Kyrie, Rosa, and Gohda had their faces smashed; Krauss and Shannon had one side of their faces smashed
- It was apparently easy to identify Shannon and Krauss
- Beatrice states that her strategy for this game will be using as little red as possible
- Beatrice says that she killed this way so that the identity of the victims could be known without having to use the red

- Rosa regains consciousness
- It seems like Rosa has been sleeping on something cold and hard
- Rosa sees a lot of darkness but she herself is lit
- Rosa is all alone right now
- Rosa hears footsteps
- Sakutarou is approaching Rosa
- Rosa feels as though 'her chest is being torn apart'
- Sakutaro tells Rosa to come with him and that she shouldn't be here
- Everytime Sakutaro says 'Uryu' Rosa feels pain
- Rosa feels pain in her forehead when Sakutaro apologizes
- Rosa "I'm only able to be me because Maria's there for me...!"
- Sakutaro "...Maria is here, ...but she's not Maria now. It's better if you don't meet with her now. That's better for you sake and Maria's as well."
- Rosa gets a hole in her hand when Sakutarou touches her
- Sakutarou's neck is sliced and blackness comes out.
- Rosa hears a shriek
- It seems like Rosa remembers the scene from when she ripped Sakutarou apart
- Rosa first feels sorry and tries to apologize and cry with Maria
- Maria pushes her away
- Now Rosa feels angry and like it's Maria's fault
- Rosa is comparing herself to Maria and thinking that she never threw a tantrum like Maria is doing
- Rosa "It's because I held it back THAT I WAS ABLE TO BECOME THE WONDERFUL ADULT I AM NOW!!!"
- Rosa had been hitting Maria's head with both hands. She looks down and sees that her hands had broken off and splintered and disappeared
- Rosa freaks out about her hands (lol the sprite)
- Maria appears
- Maria is pissed
- Black silhouette appears behind Maria
- Beatrice appears behind Maria
- Beatrice "Since an arm could pat her daughter's head, flip through a picture book, and make warm meals, ...I thought it might be alright to leave it."
- Maria says that those things don't happen
- Maria says that Sakutarou was a more important friend than Rosa
- Beatrice asks if Rosa is guilty. MARIA says that she is
- When Rosa gets ripped apart black thick tar comes out of her
- Beatrice asks if Maria can forgive Rosa now. Maria says that she can't
- Beatrice restores Rosa back to life
- Beatrice want's Rosa to remember her 'great sin'
- Cut to Rosa and Maria talking on the phone and Rosa saying she had to stay over for her job
- Maria says that she understands and for Rosa to do a good job
- Maria "Maria knew... That evening. A pay-on-delivery package came for Mama, but there wasn't enough money in the wallet, so Maria called Mama's company to ask what should be done. ...Maria had been told only to call at special times, ...but thought it would be bad if the package was something important for Mama's work... So Maria called."
- Maria was told that Rosa had the day off by the people at work
- Maria "Maria was told that it had been decided long ago that Mama would have the day off, ...and that she had gone far away to play. ...Maria knew. The whole, whole time, ...Maria knew that Mama was lying...!"
- Maria says that Sakutarou had always said that Rosa wouldn't do that
- Rosa has a brief conversation with someone who asks why she doesn't tell Maria what is going on.
- Rosa "But that way, we'd never get our schedules to match... Didn't I say not to worry about that?"
- The boyfriend is a 'slender, middle-aged man clad in a white robe'
- Rosa complains about the noisy drunk laughing stupidly in the lobby
- Rosa is super thirsty
- The boyfriend says that always wanting to be with someone is a child's way of lovemaking and that adults should be a bit more stoic
- Rosa "...Did you get back on good terms with your wife? ...Looks like you've started to dislike being separated."
- Rosa thinks this he is like this because she is a single woman with a child
- Rosa's 'Usotsuki' isn't as good as Rena's
- Wow, Rosa calm down
- Back to the magical scene Rosa says that Maria was always in the way
- Rosa says that if Maria wasn't there then she could have grasped her happiness long ago
- Rosa says that she wanted to have a happy family but 'that guy' disappeared right before Maria was born. Rosa was tricked into having Maria
- Rosa says that Maria has been holding her back from getting love and making it so she has to live alone
- Damn, Rosa is SUPER thristy
- Rosa hates the guy who got her pregnant
- Rosa remembers the Parent's Day in Maria's school (I think mentioned in ep. 2)
- Rosa had just broken up with a guy the day before
- Beatrice calls Rosa ugly and that Maria should sever any connection with her
- Rosa's upper body is crushed
- Rosa has the center of her chest crushed
- Maria had tried to think that Rosa didn't think of her as a burden but now she believes that Rosa thinks of her that way
- Maria kills Rosa over and over
- Beatrice keeps asking if MARIA forgives Rosa. Maria keeps saying no. Rosa keeps saying that she hates Maria
- Maria is going a bit crazy
- Whoah, scary Maria!
- Maria says that Sakutarou can't be fixed because Rosa won't acknowledge him. She then says that the broken her can't be fixed because Rosa won't acknowledge her either
- Beatrice welcomes Maria into the world of witches
- Maria says that she is now the apprentice Witch of Origins, MARIA
- Scene change to the guest house
- Battler is startled by thunder
- Maria wakes up (so that whole last scene could have been Maria's dream?)
- Battler tells Maria to go back to sleep and that she's half-asleep anyway. Maria gets upset by this for some reason and starts yelling that she isn't half-asleep
- Maria starts throwing a tantrum (and just when I was starting to feel bad for Maria, *sigh*)
- George tries to calm Maria down and tells Battler and Jessica (who are fighting over who is to blame) to guiet down
- Maria laughes in her creepy way after glaring at Battler
- Narration "Instead of a laughing, it seemed more like she was muttering while considering, or else counting, each 'hi'. As though each time she said 'hi', something brutal would happen over and over."
- George feels something creepy
- Maria "Don't need it. But forgive you. ...Because Maria's a witch."
- The time is now past 10:30
- The cousins can hear a 'clearly unrestful knock that repeated fiercely' as well as 'Gohda and Kumasawa's voices.'
- Gohda and Kumasawa come in sopping wet
- Gohda "It was, it was...!! The Master and Krauss-sama, and everyone, awawawawa"
- 10:32 pm
- Pitch black room
- There's a weak lightbulb and multiple people (uses 'them')
- Some kind of underground storehouse with some dusty furniture thrown in
- The room is sealed off with iron bars
- Kyrie asks where this is
- Krauss says he doesn't know and he wonders if it's in the mansion
- Krauss "Was there this kind of room... directly underneath the dining hall...?"
- Narration "They had dropped into what appeared to be a pit, and (dotted) fallen (end dots) into the room. Therefore it was appropriate to think that this room was directly under the dining hall."
- Krauss couldn't bring himself to believe that there were pitfalls rigged in the dining hall
- Narration "But the ceiling above was of crude stone craftmanship, ...and they could not understand how they could have fallen from somewhere up there. No, all five people who had been dropped here thought the same thing."
- Narration "Although they had had the sensation of falling into a pit, ...there was no way there could be pitfalls in the dining hall, nor could this dungeon-like place be directly under it. ...But, the truth was that they actually had fallen into this place and were locked in. ...And so ...they had been confused."
- Nanjo says that it is lucky no one was hurt falling from such a height
- Krauss asks if Kanon or Shannon knew about this room
- Kanon says that neither of them knew about this room
- Kyrie asks if that's true
- Shannon confirms
- Krauss "...No, it's probably true that you don't know. Afterall, this is the clean-freak Shannon we're talking about. If she knew about this room, she'd probably scrub this place until it was sparkling."
- Krauss says that Kinzo is 'hopeless now'
- Narration (who is narrating?) "And, Kinzo had even been so bold as to proclaim that we would become sacrifices for a ceremony involving 13 murders. ...Since we've been locked up in this place, we too will probably become the ceremony's next sacrifices soon."
- It's not furniture in the dungeon, it's cages, restraints, and torture racks
- Shannon says that Gohda is reliable and Kumasawa is knowledgeable and calm and that they may be a help to the children
- Kyrie is sad about losing Rudolf but is putting that aside to protect the children
- Kyrie pulls a lighter out of her pocket
- Narration "She herself didn't smoke, but she kept one tucked away in her pocket to light Rudolf's cigarettes."
- Kyrie wonders if there is a drug that can make people instantly faint
- Kyrie says that the dungeon cannot be underneath the dining hall. Shannon asks why. Kanon says that she's an idiot and that the dungeon is too narrow.
- Kyrie is saying that there is a large difference from where they landed to where they fell. And Nanjo says that the distance between Krauss and Kyrie is too big.
- Nanjo clarifies what Kyrie is thinking, saying that they might have been attacked by something that knocked them out instantly (blowdart) and only remember the instant they fell to the floor.
- Shannon has a watch that reads 22:40
- Kanon says that his watch says the same
- Kanon says that it hasn't been more than 10 minutes since what happened in the dining hall.
- Krauss says that his watch says the same and that it's much to much time to knock them out and drag them somewhere (but were your watches tampered with? Honestly people, think)
- Kyrie thinks they may have tampered with the watches (Bless you Kyrie)
- Nanjo says that he can't prove that there's not but he doesn't know of one
- Some of the bars can be twisted and rattle around but not enough to get out with human strength alone
- Kyrie finds some stones that could be used as weapons
- Shannon finds a phone
- Kyrie doubts it's connected
- Kannon "...What are you doing, Nee-san."
  Shannon "Ah, ...um, ...I just wondered if maybe the phone was w, working..."
  Kanon "...You dummy, Nee-san. (*whisper*)"
  Shannon "Eh...? ...Huh?"
- Shannon says that the phone is connected
- Krauss says that it must be bugged
- Kyrie thinks that there is a good chance that they actually forgot this
- Kyrie says that she is going to make a call and tells Kanon to look out for people
- Kyrie dials 110
- Kyrie tries to dial many times but it doesn't seem to be working
- Krauss tries instead
- They were unable to contact the police
- Kyrie still cannot believe the mass murder just before
- Kyrie "...There's no way that's what happened. ...Those were obviously Grandfather's friends, or something. ...They just hid somewhere in the dining hall beforehand and used some tricks to appear suddenly and fool us."
- Kyrie thinks it must be some kind of explosive that smashed their heads
- Narration (Kyrie) "The family conference had started a bit after 22:00. It's only been about 30 minutes since then."
- Krauss is getting agitated at the phone
- The inside line has been severed but not the inside line
- Krauss calls the guest house
- Gohda talks to him
- Gohda tells Krauss that Jessica is safe and unharmed
- Jessica asks if Natsuhi is alright
- Krauss chokes on his words
- Narration "There was no doubt for Krauss anymore. When Gohda and Kumasawa had met them at the guesthouse, Jessica and the rest had heard everything, start to finish..."
- Krauss was relieved that he had called them before they went off to the mansion
- Krauss "We have Kyrie-sn and Doctor Nanjo, as well as Shannon and Kanon here. We've been locked in a place that's like a dungeon, but don't worry. We'll figure something out."
- Krauss "Unfortunately, we can't figure out where this is either. We think it might be under the dining hall, but that might not be true. ...Anyway, Jessica. You mustn't leave there. You've heard from Gohda what happened?"
  Jessica "Yeah... Grandfather...-ed... everyone..."
- Krauss "Grandfather isn't in a sane state of mind right now. It'd be dangerous if you happen to meet him. You might be killed! You mustn't even think about trying to come and save us...! We'll take care of ourselves."
- Jessica "Damn you, Grandfather, how dare you do that to Mom and the rest...! I'm gonna kill that worthless bastard...!!"
- Jessica starts crying
- Krauss tells Jessica to stay in the room with the large window on the first floor and make a baricade with a bed. He says to stay holed up there for the day and says not to do anything dangerous and not to try and take revenge for Natsuhi
- Kyrie speaks with Battler, George speaks with Shannon and Jessica speaks with Kanon
- Everyone from both sides had a turn with the reciever (Maria?)
- Krauss tells Jessica to be near the phone so she can pick up quickly.
- Gohda and 'the rest of the men go down to the first floor and secure the shutters and the strong locks on the doors.
- George "...It's likely that Grandfather and his followers will be armed. Locking ourselves in this room is our best bet, and moreover our only method of staying locked down."
- Gohda "You mean about how the Master has a collection of working guns. ...That's right, guns, that was a gun... If so, ...it's a horribly powerful gun...!"
- Gohda apparently told Battler about the 'ceremony' and sacrifices
- George says that Battler still has Kyrie and George still has Shannon
- George points out that nobody knows where they are
- George asks Gohda again if Kinzo has armed subordinates. Gohda "Y,...yes, that is correct. ...And they're probably... all armed..."
- Gohda did NOT say anything about the subordinates being girls who may be witches killing with magic
- Maria offers Kumasawa some tea but Kumasawa refuses
- Jessica asks Kumasawa if Natsuhi is really dead
- Kumasawa "I've never seen such a ...horible way to die before..."
- Kumasawa "I... it's not possible for the head to have such a thing happen to it... and live..."
- George comes back bringing non-perishable food and drinks
- Gohda comes back bringing carpentry tools and a ladder. Barricading and escaping the window if necessary
- Battler comes back bringing weapons. Table leg and pole about the size of a person from a broken hat stand which could be used as a spear
- Battler sets up a barricade upstairs that will create noise to warn people if they try and come in from there
- There is a little light coming out of the shutters
- Maria is annoyed that the TV is turned off (to listen for the sound of the window)
- Maria doesn't seem worried
- Battler feels something eerie about Maria
- Scene change back to dungeon
- Kyrie asks about the iron bars. Krauss says that they were well made
- Kyrie says that if they can figure out where they are then they may be able to be rescued by Gohda
- Nanjo worries about how the people in the guesthouse will feel about Gohda leaving
- Kyrie says it would be too uncool to ask for help right now
- Krauss, Kyrie and Nanjo discuss where they are.
- Kanon is by the bars listening for anyone
- Kanon says that he does sense someone close by but they aren't paying any attention to them
- Shannon asks if it's human
- Kanon says it's the goats, he thinks.
- Shannon wonders about the fact that they were captured and not killed. She also thinks it strange that Beatrice didn't appear
- Shannon "I wonder if this time we will be able, ...to go to the Golden Land."
  Kanon "Who knows. We have a high rate of losing."
- Shannon says that it's very rare for both of them to survive the first twilight.
- Shannon "I get the feeling that it's incredibly unusual for us to be able to talk together like this even though the ceremony has already begun."
- Kanon says that the whole thing of people being chosen at random is just a lie
- Kanon says the idea of having any wish granted in the Golden Land is probably a lie but Shannon says that it's a wonderful place
- Shannon says that she's been there just for a little bit
- Shannon says that the Golden Land was a place where you wouldn't wish for anything
- Shannon says that the Golden Land is a land of zero. No negatives but needs positives, like having someone you love there.
- Kanon finishes talking with Shannon and hears someone coming
- Large group of people walking is heard
- Kyrie had asked what the time in the guesthouse was and it is the same as the watches so their watches were right.
- Kanon says that there's probably 4 people
- Kyrie has Shannon hide the phone under her skirt
- The people approach with a lamp: Kinzo, Ronove, Virgilia and Gaap
- Ronove announces Kinzo
- Nanjo asks where they are. Kinzo "Oh, my friend, can't you remember? Certainly, you may have never entered the prison, but you should remember walking through this corridor."
- Nanjo says that the distance is too great and that it's physically impossible
- Nanjo asks if it's the basement of Kuwadorian
- Ronove says that it is
- Krauss seems surprised that it exists
- Kinzo "This mansion was constructed for the sole use of my beloved witch, Beatrice."
- Kyrie makes a joke about Kinzo and Beatrice in a house with so much space and that Kinzo and her tastes don't line up
- Virgilia says that it isn't wise to make rude comments but Gaap says that she agrees and that she would run away
- S&M jokes ensue
- Kinzo rants for a little about Beatrice and how he loved her so much he imprisoned her
- Gaap says that she doesn't want to be loved, she wants to love
- Nanjo says that he knows the underground tunnel in Kuwadorian
- Kinzo didn't come to kill any of them yet. He wants to test the grandchildren first
- Kinzo says that the children are the embodiment of the parents. Kyrie says that the same goes for him
- Kinzo "Though you can insult me with such vigor. I don't dislike that kind of woman, see? Beatrice was that kind of woman too, in the beginning."
- Kinzo tells Krauss to call the children to tell them about the test

- Ange sympathizes with him and wants to know about the incident because of the media's bludgeoning
- Ange thinks that Masayuki's whining is stupid

- Masayuki says that Kinzo and Nanjo's relationship stretched back to when Kinzo first moved to Rokkenjima
- Masayuki says that their relationship had a lot to do with chess
- Masayuki says that Nanjo was probably not there to talk about the distribution of wealth but because Kinzo's health was so bad
- Masayuki says that Nanjo was probably trusted by Kinzo not to leak the secrets of the conference
- Kinzo's medical charts have been lost
- Ange asks if he noticed anything strange
- Masayuki says that there may have been however he says it may 'result in a misunderstanding' so he doesn't want to talk about it
- The doctor tries to beat around the bush but eventually swears Ange to secrecy and tells her
- Masayuki "The truth is, several days after that accident, I received something by mail at my home."
- Masayuki "It was very curious. The sender was made out to be me, but I had no memory of it. Someone had faked my name and sent it."
- Masayuki "The destination was Rebun Island in Hokkaido."
- Excluding Northern Territories this is the northernmost tip of Japan
- The recipient was apparently on Rebun but the recipient's name was Nanjo
- There was a problem with the destination address and sent back to the 'sender', Masayuki
- Ange asks what was in it
- Nanjo's corpse had not been found
- Ange wonders if he is still alive. Masayuki says that he wondered the same thing but he says that the envelope's destination doesn't exist
- Ange asks if there is a chance that the sender wrote the address incorrectly

- Masayuki "They probably wrote a nonsense number which clearly didn't exist. I think it's natural to assume that, from the very beginning, this envelope was sent to a non-existant residence to (dotted) it had no chance of being delivered."

- It's possible that the envelope was supposed to be returned to sender
- Inside the envelope: Small folded letter, a small key with a number plate (A112) attached, magnetic card.
- The magnetic card was black with gold characters engraved on it

- Masayuki "...It's a card, a key, and a PIN for a safe-deposit box. And it wasn't a normal safe-deposit box either. It was an unsettling one, which was apparently reserved only for special clients."

- When the card was read there were several safes that he had a right to open which were lit in green. There were several safes which were lit in green (about 20 Masayuki thinks), one of which was A112.

- The case was carried into a seperate room where the clerk left and Masayuki got to see the contents

- Ange thinks that 'most likely' the same contents to the safe are inside
- Kumasawa's son thought it was creepy and left it alone
- Ange remembers receiving a strange envelope 12 years ago too
- The person it was sent to was Ushiromiya Rudolf but Ange can't remember the destination address
- Ange thought she had gotten a letter from Rudolf and was disappointed with the contents and threw it away
- Note: Ange can't remember the contents and such very well at all
- Ange wonders if the purpose of the envelopes was to support the theory that Beatrice was the culprit
- Mammon points out that the postmark was before the conference
- So it seems that the sender intended the letters to arrive after the events on Rokkenjima
- Ange calls the method uncertain. You don't know how many days it will take
- Sakutarou says that it would be more reliable for the arrival date to be set and and it be mailed that way
- Mammon says that regardless it would probably arrive Monday or later seeing when it was sent
- Mammon also suggests that it might be made to seem like a message from the dead
- Ange says that she would have mailed it to arrive on a specified day
- Sakutarou says that it really does sound like Beato
- Sakutarou says that he has only talked to her a little but he can 'pretty much accept that Beato'd do something like this'
- Mammon agrees that Beato might like a prank like a letter from the dead
- Sakutarou says he was thinking more about an uncertain method rather than a certain one
- Ange remembers in Maria's diary that 'Beato sometimes played pranks on the adult relatives with Maria.'
- Apparently these pranks had a 'touch of witch aesthetics' which meant that it was more interesting if it was uncertain.
- Wind up car prank doesn't work (Maria and Beato wait in shadows for someone to release the milk jug)
- Maria says that they should have set it up somewhere it would definitely work
- Beato "Traps where you don't know who will get caught, or even whether anyone will get caught at all, are more thrilling and interesting"
- Ange calls Beato a fickle character
- Ange notices the pictures on the wall, many with Kumasawa
- Ange remembers her as a cheerful old lady
- Kumasawa's son says that he doesn't remember anything strange about Kumasawa in the days leading up to the incident
- Kumasawa's son said that the conference always put her on edge and she let slip about how tough it was
- Along with the pictures was a picture of 'an enlarged relief of a door from a western-style house or something'
- There is apparently no subject in the photo
- Ange gets closer and realizes that some characters had been written out with pen
- Kumasawa's son says that it's a photo he got when the distributed Kumasawa's belongings
- He thinks that it might have something to do with the 'Legend of the Gold'
- English words are engraved in an arch, over the door, with the relief. The pen writing may have been a translation of the English
- Ange 'This door is opened only at a probability of a quadrillion to one. You will be blessed only at a probability of a quadrillion to one'
- Ange says that nothing like this shows up in the epitaph or in Maria's diary
- The son says that there were quite a few pictures that looked like they were from her trying to solve the riddle
- He also says that Kumasawa was surprisingly fond of 'that kind of thing'
- Ange says that the riddle is in both the diary and the grimoire
- According to what Maria wrote it's a ceremony to open the Door to the Golden Land, Beatrice's resurrection ceremony, and Beatrice's succession ceremony.
- According to Beatrice if you solve the epitaph you get everything including Beatrice's name and power
- The Ushiromiyas understood the epitaph to be written by Kinzo while the Mariage Sorciere understood it to be written by Beatrice
- Ange has tried to solve it several times without success

- He had contracted a serious illness

- There is still no public way to get to and from Rokkenjima
- Ange was looking for a boat to take her across and without this guy there may not be a way
- The ferryman says there aren't many people willing to go to the island and that some people call it by its old name, Akujikishima.
- The ferryman promises to take Ange out to the island
- Ange is going back to Rokkenjima tomorrow
- Sakutarou appears
- Sakutarou feels bad for the ferryman
- According to the ferryman the family had been very persistent about the date of the conference even though they knew about the typhoon
- They'll leave at noon and stay until evening
- Ange tries to pay the ferryman but he refuses
- The ferryman offers to let Ange stay but she refuses
- The ferryman says that he's heard rumors about some suspicious people searching for someone
- Ange thinks that she might have been going to the island to die there
- Ferryman "No, I'm sure there's a purpose. If there isn't one for you, ...then there is one for (dotted) them"
- Ange interprets 'them' to mean her family and Maria and maybe Beatrice
- A car is heard and honks
- Ange notices something that the ferryman can't see
- Mammon says that whatever it is is 'impossible'
- Sakutarou also wonders what is going on
- Ange says that it was all fate
- Ange "Even me visiting this place, ...was fate. ...This is, ...the mission ... and the purpose...that I'm going to Rokkenjima for..."
- Amakusa asks if anything is wrong and the ferryman says that he doesn't know either
- Ange asks if they can see anything and Amakusa says that all he can see is a normal display case
- Sakutarou starts crying
- Ange starts crying too

- Phone is ringing
- Jessica "...A test...?"
- Jessica is talking with Krauss
- The message that Krauss called with was to say that Kinzo wants to hold a test to see if the grandchildren had the qualifications to become the next head
- Krauss "...The head has said that the next head will not be one of my siblings... that he wants... to pick from the grandchildren..."
- Narration "From Krauss' restrained style of speech, Jessica relized as his daughter that he was being forced to speak. And she was forced to realize that the hostages were being exposed to danger even now, and that if they refused this test, there was a possibility that the hostages would be harmed."
- Kinzo says that it would be troublesome to have those unrelated be involved and orders them to be banished from the guesthouse
- Kinzo says to lock Kumasawa and Gohda in the gardening storehouse
- Nanjo says that he would like to be moved to a warmer place as it is too cold here
- Virgilia agrees with Nanjo that it is too cold here and asks Kinzo if it wouldn't be ok to move them upstairs
- Kinzo denies this request
- Gaap tells Shannon and Kanon that they could easily break these bars
- Shannon says that even if they break the bars 'nothing will come of it.'
- Gaap says that if they were to do that then it would 'mean the end of Goldsmith's game'
- Gaap taunts Shannon and Kanon about their dreams of entering the Golden Land
- Kinzo tells the Siesta Sisters to observe the grandchildren locking Kumasawa and Gohda in the shed
- Kinzo tells them if they (the cousins) do anything suspicious then the test is over
- 00 says that she will scout and 556 and 410 will cover both flanks. 45 has wide area surveillance.
- 45 "00... 556 is..."
  00 "Ah, ...that's right. Sorry."
  45 "She was such a good kid..."
  410 "...That's why I don't like them, nyeh. ...Good people."
- Nanjo and Kyrie see the Siesta sisters teleportation as moving in and out of darkness rather than teleportation.
- Kinzo asks Ronove and Gaap to be the examiners
- Virgilia is to watch the prisoners
- Virgilia summons some goats
- Kinzo, Ronove and Gaap head off. The goats go with them before Virgilia calls them back to her
- Kyrie wonders if there are more people than just the 18 that they know of
- Kyrie is struggling to hold on to her sanity
- Gohda and Kumasawa were convinced to go into the storage shed
- The key to the shed would be handed to them when they went inside
- They also had blankets and food
- Jessica says that they were told not to go into any unnecessary areas and that they are being watched
- Gohda regrets not being useful
- Gohda says that the Master is taking lives like pieces on a chessboard
- There is a small window on the side of the storehouse. It will onlt admit light and ventilation
- Gohda takes the key, shows it to Kumasawa and puts it in his pocket
- Narration "There is only one key to the gardening shed's shutter. That was being held by those who were locked up inside it. If the children had taken it, and had it stolen from them by some chance, that would do nothing but expose the lives of those in the shed to danger."
- Narration "And even with the key, the shutter could not be opened from the inside. Kinzo's demands were fulfilled this way."
- It seems like Battler is narating but it is impossible to tell really
- They don't see anybody watching
- Jessica mourns her mom and dad and Maria says that there's nothing to worry about since they'll meet in the Golden Land (Screw you Maria)
- Battler bops her on the head (I knew there was a reason I liked this guy)
- Jessica yells back at the rose garden that she's going to kill Kinzo
- 45 thinks that they found her out. 410 taunts her saying that she's too slow
- Man, 410's laugh is possibly worse than Eva-Beatrice's
- When the cousins returned and laid down oar their beds the phone started ringing again
- George now picks up
- Now it's Kyrie who is on the phone
- Kyrie says that she's been restrained from speaking freely
- Kyrie "The test will be carried out by Jessica-chan, George-kun, Battler-kun, and Maria-chan, in that order. ...You'll be called out in turn, so until then, do not leave the room. The person who is called out will head to their designated locatoin, alone."
- Battler tells this to the children
- Narration "Even without any blood connection, he could still understand thanks to the long-lasting bond they shared."
- Battler thinks that she means that there is no way for them to escape and can only wait to be rescued
- Battler defies Kinzo
- Battler is heard by Kinzo who challenges Battler back. However Battler can't hear Kinzo
- Kyrie says that Kinzo is more than up for the challenge
- Kyrie "There's no need to hold back. ...You are Rudolf's son. ...No, you are my son. Show me something I won't be embarrassed to brag about."
- Battler calls her Mom
- Kyrie says that the instructions for the first test (Jessica's) is for her to head to her own room
- Battler hands the reciever to Jessica
- It seems to mean that she should go to her room in the mansion
- Battler "...They say that old geezer killed those six in the dining hall instantly, with no hesitation."
- George says that if this doesn't work then they will declare war on Kinzo
- George "(dotted) I'm just worried you guys'll get there first and clobber the damn geezer who made my fiancee experience terror before I do."
- Maria is left alone on the second floor
- She wonders what everyone is getting worked up about
- The phone starts ringing. Battler and George come back inside but Maria already has picked it up
- It's Shannon on the line and she asks for George
- She is going to tell George where to go
- 11:11 pm
- Jessica is apprehensive about going into her room
- Jessica says that there is nowhere for anyone to hide there
- Jessica locks the door behind her
- Jessica checks under the bed and in the closet but there is no one there
- Jessica looks at the clock, it reads 23:10
- Jessica wonders if it is ok to lock the door.
- Jessica goes to unlock the door
- Random applause
- Ronove appears and says that if the door had remained unlocked then it would have been against the rules and the hostages might have come to harm but Jessica would have been saved. He says that in spite of this Jessica was going to unlock it.
- He says that Jessica's bravery is worthy of admiration
- Narration (Jessica) "This was supposedly my first meeting with this largely-built, middle aged man. ...I did not recognize this guy, who looked like a butler and bore the seal of the One-Winged Eagle."
- Ronove says that he serves as head furniture for 'the Master' and is the 27th of the 72.
- Jessica "Rono...ue...? ...Genji...san...?
- Ronove "...Ah yes, ...Genji is like my little brother. Perhaps he was my true form in this world. ...Perhaps you could even say he was a vessel."
- Ronove seems to summon a letter
- Ronove says that it's the test and to 'attend to the question written there with the readiness of the next head who will support the Ushiromiya family...'. Ronove then tells her to tell him her answer and the reasons for the answer
- At the time when all of this is happening George is in the arbor of the rose garden
- George had planned on giving Shannon a ring in that place and instead he is getting a letter from Gaap
- George calls it a 'stupid problem'
- Gaap "In that case, isn't the Ushiromiya family inheritance also something of that level in Goldsmith's eyes?"
- Narration "While the tests given to them were slightly different, they were almost exactly the same."
- George "'Among the three mentioned below. In order to gain two, sacrifice one'."
- Gaap says that if George refuses then the test will be suspended
- George asks if this is only a test or if it will be carried out. Gaap says it will be carried out
- George's choices: 'Your' life, Shannon's life, Everyone else's lives
- Gaap says that Shannon's name is there because it is the name of the one most needed by that person (ie George)
- Gaap also says that she believe's Kanon's name is written on Jessica's paper
- Both Ronove and Gaap call Rokkenjima 'the demon island'
- Gaap says that no one would choose to lose their own life but Ronove thinks that one is more wise.
- Kinzo is observing this through a crystal ball
- Kinzo starts laughing
- Kinzo asks the Siesta Sisters if they know the correct answer
- 45 says she doesn't know. Kinzo berates her
- 00 says that she would choose number 1 and Kinzo berates her
- 410 chooses the second because the person you love will be lost eventually anyway. Kinzo again berates her
- Kinzo "I see, so that is why you reach such an answer, you rabbit who has become cowardly because you have been hurt by love..."
- Kinzo says that there is no real correct answer and instead their ability to choose and not hesitate is what is being tested. Their strength of will and convictions is what is being tested
- Kinzo says that he once had the same question and because of his splendid answer he was able to obtain gold and honor and the witch as his possessions
- Jessica says to kill her
- Ronove says he thought that would be her answer
- Jessica said that she's not choosing this because she wants to die
- She excluded Kanon out of principle
- She also excluded everyone elses
- This answer was below Ronove's expectations

- Gretel Battler and Bern don't understand what Beato is up to

- Battler doesn't understand why his Mom is involved in this

- Beato says that the blue is used 'to proclaim a theory for the opponent to deny.'
- Lambda tells Battler to deny that in red somehow

- Battler is surprised that he wasn't born from who he thought was his mom

  Battler "Proof, you say?!"

- Beato questions why she started this game. She can't remember why or maybe she can and doesn't want to have that feeling anymore

- Amakusa and Ange are on the boat and Ange tells him to turn off the music
- Ange isn't remembering things like she thought she would

- Ange asks the captain about the other harbor
- Apparently there is a harbor around the back of Rokkenjima
- Ange asks who knew about this other harbor. He says Kinzo, Genji, the people involved with the boats and 'a very small number of the oldest servants.' He also says that Nanjo and Kumasawa knew
- The captain was only told that there was a mansion called Kuwadorian and was not able to see it from the boat
- The captain says that he carried high-class ladies stuff to that harbor
- He says that he never saw Beatrice
- He says that all of a sudden all going back and forth between Kuwadorian and there stops. He says it was about 30 years ago, around 1968. He also says that he came and went for about 20 years, so he's been doing this since about the time the island was purchased
- They got a message from Genji saying that, until further notice there was no need to go there anymore
- The captain guessed (and from servants) that Beatrice died
- The captain then says that Genji came and was pushy, saying he couldn't say any thing about the back until he died
- The hidden mansion is about 2 km away from the main mansion according to Ange
- They don't think that Eva could have gotten there through the forest or by sea
- Therefore they think about a tunnel
- They reach the island
- The captain says that he'll wait there and points them towards the mansion
- Ange tells Amakusa to wait as well

- Ange thinks that the road that was left was not as bad as she expected

- There is a fence with a warning sign saying 'No entry, Tokyo Metropolis'.

- Ange gets to the top of some kind of hill it seems and has a view of the island
- Because of the cliffs they can't go to the mansion or they would not be able to come back

- Ange's soul is taken to the forest

- At first it was magic for creating happiness and then it became magic for hurting people

- Kasumi sicks her guards onto Ange to try and teach her a lesson
- Kyrie was supposed to have all the responsibility and Kasumi got the easy, princess life.
- However, Kyrie got disinherited because she didn't marry who they wanted and got pregnant by Rudolf
- Kyrie would normally be killed for this but she was just disinherited so as to give the Sumadera family special treatment from 'a section of the Ushiromiya group'
- Ange keeps making fun of Sumadera
- Kasumi was very jealous of Kyrie
- Ange realizes that Kasumi thinks that by killing her she will get rid of her hatred for Kyrie and let her move on with her life
- Kasumi is getting ready to kill Ange
- Ange realizes that her life wasn't so different from Kasumi's with the strictness
- She said that Eva was similar because she would punish Ange until she wanted to stop, not until Ange apologized or learned her lesson
- Ange thinks that Rosa was probably the same
- Ange also thinks that Maria was remarkable because she filled her world with happiness
- Ange knows, now that she knows magic, that Eva was a person she should feel compassion for
- Ange sees the black witch behind Eva who taught her to hate

- Eva-Beatrice asks if Ange hates her. Ange says that she is stopping the cycle of hate

- Ange asks if she shows magic will they believe. Eva-Beatrice says yes
- Ange stands up
- Eva-Beatrice and Kasumi mock Ange some more to show them this magic
- Ange summons the seven sisters
- Mammon says that with so much toxin it isn't possible
- Ange tells them to believe too
- Kasumi tells them to fire
- The sound of a gunshot is heard
- There's a hole in the guard who was going to fire
- It seemed like the guy had fired but hadn't hit Ange
- Another guard takes out his gun and dies
- Another guard goes down
- The guards can't see because they don't believe in magic
- Another guard fires and doesn't hit. Gets killed
- Two guards try and use her for a hostage
- Both die
- Kasumi picks up a gun to shoot Ange
- Ange says that she can help her with magic to become happy
- Kasumi says that she was forced to marry Kyrie's fiance as a substitute
- Kasumi had someone that she had loved before then that she was forced to break up with
- Kasumi fires

- Eva-Beatrice says that the reason she looks like Eva is because Ange hasn't been able to release all of her anger
- Eva-Beatrice turns into a black mist or black insects
- Eva-Beatrice turns into Eva
- Eva is holding a gun

- Ange says that summoning in spite of that is what makes it magic
- The end of the gun explodes, literally it ruptures

- Ange says that she can't let this continue and she is here to smash the Golden land of the Mariage Sorciere
- Ange "Take responsibility and see it through to the very end! Will you defeat Battler, and give birth to the world you truly wished for?! Or will you be defeated and everything swallowed up by your magic released?!! Take responsibiliy until the very end!!"
- Maria tries to disuade Ange
- Maria tries to show Ange that all wishes can be granted here
- Ange "And what about Sakutarou" (savage Ange, savage)
- Maria is unhinged by the mention of Sakutarou
- Ange says that the real reason that Beato can't revive Sakutarou is because she isn't a real witch
- Beato asks Ange if she can do it. Ange says that she can
- Ange asks Maria to promise, if she revives Sakutarou, to leave the Golden Land.
- Narration (Ange) "The minimum amount of humans it takes to create a universe is two. If that breaks down, the world is destroyed. To drag out the witch shut away in the Golden Land, I'll have to destroy this world...!"

- Ange says if she kept this rule she would be able to play with Battler for all eternity
- Ange is stopping Battler from turning his head and seeing her

- Ange is disappearing and tells Battler to fight with all he's got and that she'll be waiting for him to come back

- Battler turns around and sees Ange disappear

- Beatrice says that she saw what happened
- Beatrice "...While she still lived, pinch by pinch, massive, red-hot pincers, ...tore chunks of flesh the size of a thumb off of her, ...and threw them away. ...I was watching. I saw as countless cruel tools burned red-hot in the witch's furnace approached Ange from behind, and one bit at a time, ...pecked her, twisted, ripped chunks off her, ...and tore her to pieces."
- Beatrice says that it shouldn't concern him since he didn't come home to that Ange
- Battler turns and points at Beatrice

- Beatrice says that one will win and the other be destroyed

- Battler said that nothing happened after his test
- He says that nothing happened for the whole day
- When Battler asked where Maria was Beato told him to go to the chapel
- Battler had been told when he was younger that you could get in trouble going to the chapel
- There was a key bundle at the door but none of them open the chapel
- Battler found no sign of Maria
- There's a horrible stench in the mansion
- Battler goes to the dining hall and finds the corpses there that Gohda and the rest had hesitated to speak of
- Battler says that it is the remains of Natsuhi and the first victims
- He says that half of their heads had been split open
- Battler calls them convenient corpses
- There was a seventh corpse, Maria.
- Maria was next to Rosa as though sleeping alongside her
- Battler searched the mansion for hiding places but didn't find any
- Battler decides to play detective a bit
- Battler thinks that the weapon was probably a gun
- Maria has no external wounds and Battler doesn't understand how she was killed
- By her mouth are traces of bubbles that she may have spat out
- Battler remembers her being called to the chapel to get her test
- Battler notices that her clothing isn't disturbed so it doesn't look like she was held down
- Battler wonders why they went to the effort of poisoning Maria
- It seems to Battler that only Maria's death was courteous
- Both of Maria's hands are joined on her chest
- Battler can't understand the pitfalls that Krauss and Gohda both described
- Battler just can't feel any pitfalls or see any evidence of them
- Battler wonders if his father would think that Kinzo could do it
- The door to Jessica's room was locked but Battler opens it with a master key
- Battler sees inside the room and describes it as 'horrible'
- He says that he's built up an immunity to corpses since the dining hall
- He notices the phone receiver is loose and dangling
- Jessica is leaning against the wall next to the phone with half of her head split open
- Battler remembers Jessica saying that 'they got me'
- Battler realizes that the culprit could have a master key
- Battler notices no external wounds
- Battler thinks that she was damaged on the head, called him and then was killed
- Battler is bothered by the fact that Jessica had said that George's death was instant
- You can see the rose garden and the roof of the arbor from the window but it is very far away
- Jessica had left before George so she shouldn't know where his test was
- Battler then finds the guest room where Kyrie was
- Battler says that the situation matched Jessica's
- The phone is off the hoook and Kyrie was in the corner
- There is a stake buried in Kyrie's forehead
- Battler pulls the stake out and puts it by Kyrie's side
- Battler thinks that Kyrie was killed with a gun first and then the stake was stabbed in later
- Battler remembers the golden thread thing that Kyrie was talking about
- There are four holes around Kyrie
- The locks are cylinder locks not the old fashioned kind
- Battler doesn't understand what Kyrie means
- Battler thinks that everyone has been saying the same thing about witches and demons
- Battler wonders if they were confused
- Battler finds Krauss with his head half smashed by the door
- Into the cross section of Krauss' head another stake is buried
- Battler goes outside and finds an old well
- Battler finds Shannon and Nanjo's corpses there
- Neither of these two had stakes in them but just placed beside them
- The well has a firm iron covering over it so that a human can't pass through
- Battler goes to look for a tool to break the well seal
- He goes to the shed but can't get in so goes to look for something that will open the shutter on the shed
- Battler discovers that the stench is coming from the boiler room
- Battler finds a fire hatchet and wire cutters
- Battler also finds Kinzo's corpse
- More precisely he finds the burnt corpse
- Both feet have 6 toes
- Battler breaks down the shutter with the hatchet and wire cutters
- Gohda and Kumasawa were not killed by being hung since both of their feet were on the floor. Rather they had been shot in the forehead
- The rope was unsuitable to hang someone with
- The blood is still dripping from their heads
- The key was still in Gohda's pocket and the plate was still attached
- Battler thinks there is something odd about the fact that these two corpses alone were hoisted up
- Battler can't confirm Kanon's corpse
- Battler tries breaking the bars to the well
- Battler is unable to break them
- Battler interprets the arm-sword as a laser beam
- Battler wonders about who Kanon is
- Beatrice starts talking
- Beatrice notes that her talking did not reach the Battler piece

- Battler says that he's doing the same thing that she does and giving the opponent a chance and won't let an easy victory happen

- Beatrice says Battler's blue is effective
- Beatrice next asks about the second twilight
- Beatrice next asks about Kanon in the boiler room

- Battler asks if she has a problem with that and she says that she has none
- Beato next asks about Jessica and Kanon
- Beato next goes on to the servant's room
- Specifically she asks about who this person who seemed like Kanon was
- Beato is hit by another blue wedge
- This blue truth looks to be pretty effective
- Beato says that the blue is effective
- Battler says that his previous arguments hold for Natsuhi's room unless Beato has something to add
- She says that she doesn't and that Battler can have the second game
- Beato taunts Battler further
- Battler moves on to the third game
- Beato "By all rights, you should have penetrated this closed room at the time. But then you (dotted) killed off Kinzo...!!"
- Battler says that before he supposed Kinzo to be the culprit and then Kinzo died himself
- Beato can't quite block the last stake of the person returning a key to the dead body on finding it
- Battler still plans on going with Eva for the third game
- Battler "It looks like you don't need any mercy."
  Beato "I never asked for it in the first place."
- Battler says that he's broken through all of the fourth games mysteries with the blue so all that is left is Nanjo's murder
- Beato says that she's kille the 18 of them hundreds of times
- Beato continues to egg Battler on
- Finally, geez Battler, took you long enough to figure out that they may not have been dead at the time of Nanjo's murder. Idiot
- A blue stake as thick as a log comes up out of the ground and skewers Beato
- Beato is pinned with more than 10 stakes all over her body and is dangling and crucified
- Beato's body has none of the dignity it used to have
- Beato says that it hurts
- Battler tells her she got what she deserved
- Beato begs Battler to end her life since it hurts so much

  Bern "...Oh, really? And I was sure that those were all correct. ...Well, I don't know about that small bomb part though."
