1. Welcome everyone to The Werewolf Game forum. If you're new here, which right now everyone is, then you've entered the forum where The Werewolf Game(TWG) will be taking place, as will future games if desired. Let's not get ahead of ourselves though. It's important to know exaclty what this game is about. So I provide for everyone the rules for this game in this thread. Let's begin with:
2.
3.
4. The Werewolf Game: Concept
5.
6. The Werewolf Game is a forum based game where forum users come together in order play. The game can have as many players as possible, but 10-15 players is the typical scenario. Before the game begins, the appointed host makes a Player's Signup Thread. In this thread, the game's features and rules are listed(as in what roles will be in the game, the theme, etc. The users who desire to play then sign up in the thread and when the designated quota of players for the game is met, the host begins the game.

9. The Werewolf Game: Fundamentals
10.
11.
12. The game is divided into two phases: Day and Night. Before we get into the phases though, there are two parties in this game. They are the Humans, and the Wolves. The humans do not know each others roles, or anyone's roles for that matter. Their objective is to eliminate all of the wolves and survive in order to be victorious. The Wolves know the roles of the other wolves(usually 2-3 players out of the 10-15 players), their objective is to eliminate the humans, or become equivalent to the amount of humans remaining(in example: if 3 humans are alive, and 3 wolves are alive, then wolves win).
13.
14.
15. The phases of Day and Night decide when events take place. During the Day phase, the players discuss with other players and attempt to figure out who the wolves are. The players must vote the name of the person they want to lynch in order for it to count. At the end of the Day phase, the host tallies up all of the votes and the person with the most is lynched off, and then the game proceeds into Night. In Night, the wolves decide who to wolf off(meaning they are killing a player). They do this be sending in a pm to the host telling them who they want to wolf. THE WOLVES MAY ONLY WOLF ONE PLAYER PER NIGHT, SO THEY WILL NEED TO DECIDE WHOM THEY WISH TO WOLF BEFORE SENDING IN THE PM. Only one PM is allowed. At the end of the Night, the host announces the player who was wolfed, and so the game proceeds into Day again, the process repeats itself until one of the parties has reached victory.

18. The Werewolf Game: Procedure
19.
20.
21. When the signups for this game are full, the host begins the game with a new thread, it's the official thread for that game where all posts relevant to the game are made. The host sends out Private Messages to all players that signed up before making the official game thread. This PM contains everyone's roles and their descriptions. None of the players know any of the roles, except for the wolves who know the roles of other wolves. The Game begins in the night phase, when the PMs from the wolves are sent to the host, then the Day phase begins with one person dead. The game follows through from there until victory is accomplished.
22.
23.
24. There are also special roles, that have special skills. They are on the side of the humans and use their skills to help them win. The specials are known as blues. Their roles are as follows:
25.
26.
27. Guardian: Sends in a PM to the host during the Night phase in order to guard a player from being wolfed during the Night. This saves the player.
28.
29. Psychic: Sends in a Pm to the host during the Night in order to find out how many reds remain. This PM is answered at the end of the Night phase.
30.
31. Seer: Sends in a PM for a specific player to be "seer'd", resulting in the seer finding out that player's color.(It will come back as red, blue, or green) This PM is answered at the end of the Night phase.

35.
36.
37. Rules:
38.
39.
40. 1. Players are not allowed to reveal their PMs or conversations with the host to anyone else. This includes (and is not limited) to: forwarding the PM to any other player, showing a screenshot of the PM, or copypasta'ing the PM info into the thread or to another player. Players are not allowed to reveal conversations - with the Host - relating to the game to any other player.
41.
42. 2. The host will not tell you anything about who the other player's roles are, don't bother him for this information, doing such is cheating, game ban ensues.
43.
44. 3. Players are not allowed to edit/delete their posts for ANY reason. Moderators are not allowed to edit/delete anyone's posts, without host consent. Moderators are allowed to delete posts by users not in the current TWG who post in the thread.
45.
46. 4. If the host asks a moderator to delete certain post(s), then it can be permitted.
47.
48. 5. One death post may be allowed by the person killed during the Night phase. This post must be brief, and contain no information about the game. A player who is lynched, during the Day, may not post again after they are killed.
49.
50. 6. Players are allowed to share pms sent from one player to another player.
51.
52. 7. Players are allowed to fake AIM conversations. Or irc conversations, or e-mails, or any other form of communication used between players.
53.
54. 8. An Insta-Lynch is considered MORE than 50% of all votes on any given day. It results in the instant lynch of the voted player.
55.
56. 9. In the event of a tie vote, a Knife in Box (KiB)[KitB] situation occurs. A KitB situation is defined by one of the two tied players randomly getting wolfed or lynched, as determined by random.org or other means.
57.
58. 10. The dead are prohibited from talking to living players about the game. Information may not flow into the game from the grave. If someone is found giving information to a living player, they are subject to a game or more ban.
59.
60. 11. Imitating another player (dead or alive) through a fake nickname is cheating and is subject to the cheating penalties. (This does not apply to faked AIM conversations).
61.
62. 12. No player, under ANY circumstances, is allowed a free passage into a future TWG. Not if they are killed night 1, not if they are the MVP of the previous game, not if they hosted the previous game. You must sign up in the Game Signups as everyone else. Hosts are allowed to set specific times when the players are able to sign up.
63.
64. 13. No player may vote over AIM. or irc, or e-mail etc. Ex: IMing the host saying who you vote for. There is no explainable reason for this. If someone can access the internet, they can access the forums. IMing the host and asking them to post a message on your behalf is at the host's discretion.
65.
66. 14. The Host reserves the right to admit or kick any player he sees fit before the game begins. If the player is unequipped to play during the game, it is the hosts descretion whether or not the player will be removed from this game.
67.

71. The Colors:
72.
73. Wolves: Red
74.
75. Specials:Blue
76.
77. Humans: Green.
78.
79.
80. All votes for a person in a game MUST be bolded. For example, you want to vote Nakah, you must say somewhere within your post Nakah. Otherwise it won't count. This makes it easier for the host to skim the thread and tally up the votes at the end of each Day phase.
81.
82.
83. "7And doth said God unto Nakah, "Thou shalt create a forum, and it shalt be called The Werewolf Game, and it will be good. And people will flock to you as sheep flock unto their shepherd.
84. 8And the intelligence and involvement will grow exponentially.
85. 9But head my word, for there will be a thorn in your bushel of cotton. Do not allow a demon, dressed in the clothes of a young boy with a big heart, surrounded by strange creatures, to fool the sheep and destroy your hard work.
86. 10When he comes, be ready to send him back from whence he came!"""
87.
88.
89. This is only the beginning of what will be included in this thread. Any questions concerning this or other TWG matters, please ask here in this thread. I shall add to this list when the time comes for it to be necessary.
90.
91.
92. Good luck and happy TWG'ing.
