  1. - One-way authentication, so that the party that you're authenticating with doesn't need to store a (hopefully encrypted) copy of your password;
  2. - A university could send a verification of that you've obtained a diploma with them directly to your identity;
  3. - Any badges or recommendation (which is sometimes worth more than a diploma nowadays) could be sent directly to your identity;
  4. - The DMV could send a verification to your identity that you have your drivers license, so you can store and display it on your phone;
  5. - UN personnel could help people in financial need by identifying them and verifying the Bitcoin address(es) they own, so that they can pull funds they need directly towards themselves, instead of us trying to push it through a pipeline that's leaking all over the place, towards them;
  6. - No need for sharing sensitive data in order to verify that you are actually you, with basically any party that has an Internet connection;
  7. - KYC/AML regulatory compliance stuff, so banks and Bitcoin companies can finally work together, in an automated fashion;
  8. - Creating a heterogeneous network for existing information silos to finally be able to communicate with one another;
  9. - Decentralized Credit Rating Agencies;
  10. - Trust-based routing of mesh networks;
  11. - Routing of packets in a drone delivery network made up of individual drone operators ...
