1. Game 1: Black Mesa - started in March of 2013, finished on 03.01.2014
2. # Ugh, the gameplay changes were simply terrible. Wish I could just play Half-Life with Black Mesa's art assets.
3.
4. Game 2: Portal - started on 03.01.2014, finished on 04.01.2014 (roughly 3 hours)
5. # Replay of story mode now that I can play in anything above 640x480. Looks really lovely on High with MSAAx4. Still IMO the best game Valve made.
6.
7. Game 3: Dear Esther - started on 04.01.2014, finished on 05.01.2014 (roughly 90 minutes)
8. # Well, the caves level was absolutely stunning. I can understand why people would hate on this... game? Still enjoyed the views.
9.
10. Game 4: Richard & Alice - started on 05.01.2014, finished on 06.01.2014 (roughly 3 hours).
11. # Terrible, not sure why it got such great reviews. 'Gameplay' was close to non-existent, and while story was kind of interesting it was JUST.SO.TERRIBLY.OVERWRITTEN. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
12.
13. Game 5: Umineko no Naku Koro ni: Alliance of the Golden Witch - started in December of 2013, finished on 11.01.2014 (roughly 30 hours)
14. # Oh god, this game, this game... What a ride that was.
15.
16. Game 6: World Mosaics 5 - started in December of 2013, finished on 19.01.2014 (20 hours)
17. # Well, it's Picross. Lots of easy puzzle. Some quite hard. One I think was impossible to do without guessing. Still, there's never enough of Picross.
18.
19. Game 7: Ever 17 - started in November of 2013, finished on 22.01.2014 (~30 hours)
20. # Ever 17 should be the definition of payoff. Amazing ending, almost makes up for the crappy main routes. I still prefer 999, and I can't wait for I/O translation to drop.
21.
22. Game 8: Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - started on 12.01.2014, finished on 25.01.2014 (20 hours)
23. # Lovely start to a series, although I still think the NDS exclusive case is simply too long.
24.
25. Game 9: The Typing of the Dead: Overkill - started on 26.01.2014, finished on 26.01.2014 (4 hours)
26. # Well, some of the words chosen were amusing. The whole game was disgusting, but purposely so. Well, I can think of worse ways to spend your gaming time.
27.
28. Game 10: BioShock - started on 06.01.2014, finished on 04.02.2014 (11 hours)
29. # Didn't like the gameplay all that much, luckily wasn't heavily spoiled on the story. Wish Ken Levine would just stick to visual novels. :\
30.
31. Game 11: The Rapture Is Here And You Will Be Forcibly Removed From Your Home - started on 08.02.2014, finished on 08.02.2014 (20 minutes)
32. # Umm... yeah. That was a thing, apparently, which I played.
33.
34. Game 12: Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Justice for All - started on 25.01.2014, fnished on 08.02.2014 (22 hours)
35. # Weakest of Phoenix Wright, no doubt about it. Still a ride. Wish I had 3DS, so that I could play AA5.
36.
37. Game 13: Candy Escape Goat Saga - started on 08.02.2014, finished on 08.02.2014 (15 minutes)
38. # Can't wait for Escape Goat 2. Or rather GOAT
39.
40. Game 14: The Secret of Monkey Island Special Edition - started on 04.02.2014, finished on 10.02.2014 (4.5 hours)
41. # Ehh... Can't say that I liked the enhanced graphics, to be honest they look atrocious. Pity there's no way to disable them and still have the enhanced music/voices available. Oh well, onto Monkey Island 2.
42.
43. Game 15: Monkey Island 2: Special Edition - started on 11.02.2014, finished on 13.02.2014 (5.5 hours)
44. # Oh wow, quite an improvement compared to the previous game. It's such a pity LucasArts didn't finish DotT SE, if it'd be made as well as MI2 SE, it'd be all sorts of amazing.
45.
46. Game 16: Tomb Raider (2013) - started on 14.02.2014, finished on 22.02.2014 (15 hours)
47. # Well, the game had too much shooting and not enough platforming, but nevertheless I thoroughly enjoyed every last minute of it. Hopefully TR 2 (2015) will be better.
48.
49. Game 17: Day of the Tentacle - started on 23.02.2014, finished on 26.02.2014 (3 hours)
50. # Replay, so I managed to clear the game quite quickly. I think this is my favorite LucasArts adventure game.
51.
52. Game 18: Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Trials and Tribulations - started on 09.02.2014, finished on 10.03.2014 (25 hours)
53. # Still my favorite Phoenix Wright game, gets really crazy during the last case.
54.
55. Game 19: LEGO Lord of the Rings - started in October of 2013, finished on 17.03.2014 (31 hours)
56. # Dat 100% baby. Seriously, whoever says that collectathons are dead, obviously hasn't played AssCreed or LEGO game.
57.
58. Game 20: To the Moon - started on 17.03.2014, finished on 18.03.2014 (3.5 hours counting the mini-episode)
59. # feels.gif
60.
61. Game 21: Brothers : A Tale of Two Sons - started on 18.03.2014, finished on 19.03.2014 (3 hours for the game, 0.5 hour for achievement hunting)
62. # Beautiful interactive story. Actual game elements were so-so, but the environment design and music were awesome. Reminded me of a more colorful ICO.
63.
64. Game 22: Blackwell Legacy - started on 19.03.2014, finished on 19.03.2014 (4 hours, including both commentary tracks)
65. # Pretty fun little adventure game, although you can still see amateurish roots. Dev commentary is fun as well - I always appreciate when they put that in their games.
66.
67. Game 23: Blackwell Unbound - started on 19.03.2014, finished on 19.03.2014 (4 hours, including listening to commentary track and some minor achievement hunting)
68. # Once again, fun little adventure game. Still amateurish, but fun nevertheless.
69.
70. Game 24: I/O - started on 23.02.2014, finished on 25.03.2014 (41 hours)
71. # Infuriating at time, amazing at other times. Certainly haven't played a game like that yet.
72.
73. Game 25: Blackwell Convergence - started on 20.03.2014, finished on 26.03.2014 (3.5 hours)
74. # Amazing improvement from the earlier games, even with minor glitches here and there this was something I wouldn't mind paying a few $ for.
75.
76. Game 26: Blackwell Deception - started on 26.03.2014, finished on 28.03.2014 (5.5 hours)
77. # More improvements, quite an enjoyable title, although can't say I was a fan of the heavyhanded medium slamming.
78.
79. Game 27: Enslaved: Odyssey to the West - started on 26.03.2014, finished on 01.04.2014 (12.5 hours)
80. # Major technical problems significantly impacted my enjoyment of the game
81.
82. Game 28: World Mosaics 6 - started on 19.01.2014, finished on 01.04.2014 (29 hours)
83. # I really need to take a break from Picross... Feeling so drained after this game.
84.
85. Game 29: Icarus Proudbottom's World of Typing Weekly - started on 06.03.2014, finished on 03.04.2014 (2.5 hours)
86. # That twist ending...
87.
88. Game 30: Hexcells - started on 02.04.2014, finished on 03.04.2014 (3 hours)
89. # Such a pity that the game is pretty much just a tutorial. Oh well, there's always Hexcells Plus
90.
91. Game 31: Prince of Persia (2008) - started on 04.04.2014, finished on 07.04.2014 (10 hours)
92. # My third playthrough, and nothing much changed - I still think this is a great game. Way better than anything Ubi did with AssCreed series. Pity it pretty much killed of Prince of Persia franchise.
93.
94. Game 32: Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance - started on 29.03.2014, finished on 09.04.2014 (6.5 hours)
95. # I'm not sure why everyone keeps saying it's a bad game - I had great time with it, and while I didn't hunt all the doodads (wish the ingame map would mark them somehow), I came reasonably close (199.1% completion). Music was great as well, game looked stunning. Great improvement compared to Circle of the Moon.
96.
97. Game 33: Hexcells Plus - started on 06.04.2014, finished on 11.04.2014 (8.5 hours)
98. # Now that's more like it, although at times I felt like my brain was turning into pulp. Lovely puzzle game, but if you ever plan to play it, play Hexcells first - it can be thought as a sort of extended tutorial for this game.
99.
100. Game 34: The Shivah - started on 11.04.2014, finished on 11.04.2014 (2.5 hours)
101. # Bonus from the newest Humble Bundle, another good Wadjet Eye game. Nothing groundbreaking, but extremely logical, and with some really good visuals. Loved the 'newlywed' commentary as well.
102.
103. Game 35: Donkey Kong '94 - started on 09.04.2014, finished on 12.04.2014 (3 hours)
104. # Beat the game two years ago using a GB emulator on NDS (worked surprisingly good, with some bad sound and slowdown here and there), wanted to experience the game on something not programmed for 66 MHz CPUs. Retroarch is seriously amazing, this game... well, it's good as well. Not 'Mario' good, but nevertheless, fun puzzle platformer.
105.
106. Game 36: Trip World - started on 13.04.2014, finished on 13.04.2014 (35 minutes)
107. # Well, seems like the game might just be the definition of style over substance. Lovely artwork (especially considering this is for basic Game Boy), amazing music and... well, there was a game there as well, was it? Still, good way to spend half an hour all things considering.
108.
109. Game 37: Super Mario Land - started on 13.04.2014, finished on 13.04.2014 (35 minutes)
110. # Was in the mood for some older Game Boy games. Now that I've done SML, maybe my OCD brain will finally let me play SML2/3/Warioland games. :)
111.
112. Game 38: Gemini Rue - started on 13.04.2014, finished on 14.04.2014 (6 hours)
113. # Game sure did look outstanding, especially the watercolor backgrounds. Lovely music as well. As for the gameplay... meh would be the best way to describe it I think. No dead ends at least, though both the puzzles and shooting sections were not really something I enjoyed. Oh well, Wadjet Eye games are best treated as indie movies, and this one wasn't half bad.
114.
115. Game 39: Broken Sword 3: The Sleeping Dragon - started on 14.04.2014, finished on 17.04.2014 (9.5 hours)
116. # Ugh, major disappointed after the first two games in series. 3D used is atrocious at best, close to no puzzles, both inventory and dialogue based ones. Instead we get autoplatforming, forced stealth and Sokoban. Oh well...
117.
118. Game 40: Puzzle Bots - started on 18.04.2014, finished on 18.04.2014 (2.5 hours)
119. # Good beginner's level adventure game, although I guess kids 7 and up would have way more fun with this than I did.
120.
121. Game 41: Dysfunctional Systems: Learning to Manage Chaos - started on 18.04.2014, finished on 19.04.2014 (3 hours)
122. # Well, works as starting chapter. Not really sure if the other parts will be anything like this though - the game pretty much bankrupted the developers. Lovely artwork, nice music as well. Bit in need of an editor though - loads of unnecessary text.
123.
124. Game 42: Shrek 2 (GBA) - started on 17.04.2014, finished on 21.04.2014 (2.5 hours)
125. # A passable licensed platformer, even on a platform that had tonnes of them. Lovely Manfred Linzner music too. Just wish the game didn't have as much slowdown, though that may be caused by emulator I was using.
126.
127. Game 43: Broken Sword 4: Angel of Death - started on 19.04.2014, finished on 25.04.2014 (8 hours)
128. # Ugh, and here I thought the third game was bad. This was just... so disappointing. Also, should've been called Broken Sword: Golf Club of Death.
129.
130. Game 44: Juniper's Knot - started on 27.04.2014, finished on 27.04.2014 (40 minutes)
131. # Well, a nice little visual short-story, that's all I can really say. Felt like it was written by non-native speakers though, but certainly worth the time spent on it.
132.
133. Game 45: Jurassic Park (Telltale) - started on 27.04.2014, finished on 29.04.2014 (6.5 hours)
134. # Well, a pretty nice interactive movie, all things considering. Not shooting for 100% achievements, looking at the list that'd be an exercise in tedium. Can't say I'm a fan of Telltale's pricing policy - game would be a no-brainer for $3.75, but for $40? No way in hell.
135.
136. Game 46: Metroid: Zero Mission - started on 22.04.2014, finished on 01.05.2014 (4 hours)
137. # Loved the game, even if (or maybe because) I didn't go for 100% completion (final result was 75%). I wish Nintendo would finally make Metroid Dread, just about every 2D Metroid game after Super has been at least great.
138.
139. Game 47: Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins - started on 01.05.2014, finished on 02.05.2014 (1.5 hours)
140. # Honestly, it still felt weird compared to Miyamoto games. Small screen space Game Boy had certainly didn't help here. Good game overall, albeit a tad on the short side - although I guess this comes with the territory.
141.
142. Game 48: Shrek 2: Beg for Mercy - started on 02.05.2014, finished on 04.05.2014 (1.5 hours)
143. # Major downgrade music-wise from the earlier Shrek 2 GBA game, but it's all platforming now - no puzzles to speak of. Good that levels are way better designed this time. Other than that, it's pretty much a mission pack, so if you liked the earlier game (or, realistically speaking, any other of Vicarious Visions platformers) you'll feel at home here.
144.
145. Game 49: Resonance - started on 04.05.2014, finished on 07.05.2014 (8 hours)
146. # Oh my, I think I liked the game way more than any other previous Wadjet Eye games. Seriously, puzzles that make you think, multiple problem solutions, story that is genuinely surprising, well thought out achievements? Great game, is what I'm saying.
147.
148. Game 50: CSI: 3 Dimensions of Murder - started on 08.05.2014, finished on 14.05.2014 (8 hours)
149. # Other than god-awful character models, I must say I had fun with the title. Pretty good casual adventure title that isn't 100% HOPA. Pity they couldn't get all of the TV show's actors for VA, but what's there is very good.
150.
151. Game 51: Sam and Max Hit the Road! - started on 14.05.2014, finished on 15.05.2014 (5 hours)
152. # Gosh, I wish every adventure game ever made was as good as this one was. Not my favorite Lucasarts adventure game, a bit too illogical puzzle-wise, but well within top 3.
153.
154. Game 52: Dominique Pamplemousse - started on 15.05.2014, finished on 15.05.2014 (1.5 hours)
155. # Definitely the most 'indie' game I've tried this year. Can't say I'd recommend this to people, unless you're into really experimental stuff. Although, I can't help but wonder, what's the sense in making a 'musical' game when none of the actors you use can't actually sing. Oh well...
156.
157. Game 53: CSI: Hard Evidence - stared on 18.05.2014, finished on 22.05.2014 (~10 hours)
158. # Well, the game looked a lot better than CSI3, true enough. Characters still have that uncanny valley, robot look/feel to them, cases were on par with the previous game (so mid-tier TV show episode). Oh well, nice and easy casual adventure game.
159.
160. Game 54: Chrono Trigger - started on 11.03.2014, finished on 22.05.2014 (18.5 hours)
161. # Lovely game, played the DS port for the updated translation - this was my third or fourth clear. Not touching the added content, heard it's terrible, what is there was enough for me.
162.
163. Game 55: CSI: Deadly Intent - started on 23.05.2014, finished on 26.05.2014 (~9 hours)
164. # Improvement versus the previous games when it came to the graphics (still some uncanny valley effect, especially with character movement), cases were a bit of a letdown though. Nothing special here, although still fun for fans of the show.
165.
166. Game 56: Assassin's Creed: Revelations - started on 19.04.2014, finished on 27.05.2014 (20 hours)
167. # Good send-off to Ezio, not much more to say here. Story is crap, like in previous games, combat is crap, like in previous games, missions are crap, like in previous games... Still, it's fun to collect variety of map markers, and luckily I wasn't looking for anything else here.
168.
169. Game 57: CSI: Fatal Conspiracy - started on 26.05.2014, finished on 29.05.2014 (8 hours)
170. # Not much to say here, really. More of the same, including reuse of most assets from CSI 5 (and addition of some shitty antivirus ads - seriously, the product placement being done in the series was mind-boggling at times). Also, the game ends on a cliffhanger with no sequel in sight. Great work, Telltale.
171.
172. Game 58: Mega Man - started on 30.05.2014, finished on 31.05.2014 (1.5 hours)
173. # While it isn't as polished as the sequels, it's still loads of platforming fun. Well, Yellow Devil boss fight aside (thank god for the pause trick).
174.
175. Game 59: Law & Order: Legacies - started on 29.05.2014, finished on 02.06.2014 (8 hours)
176. # I'm surprised here, but I liked the game. A lot. May have been just the fact that I love courtroom dramas, and the closest thing other that this game were Phoenix Wright games, which seriously, don't compare.
177.
178. Game 60: Half-Life 2 - started on 10.04.2014, finished on 03.06.2014 (14 hours)
179. # For a supposed FPP, there sure were a lot of cutscenes here, and surprisingly few shooting sections. Oh well, it's still impressive in 2014, must've look like a work of god back in 2004.
180.
181. Game 61: Half-Life 2: Lost Coast - started on 03.06.2014, finished on 03.06.2014 (30 minutes)
182. # Worth it for commentary alone. Pity Valve didn't add it to original Half-Life 2 as well, dev commentary is the best.
183.
184. Game 62: Half-Life 2: Episode One - started on 03.06.2014, finished on 05.06.2014 (5 hours)
185. # Pretty much Half-Life 2 The Lost Levels. Good expansion, although not much new to see here, and nothing that will change your opinion of the game.
186.
187. Game 63: Half-Life 2: Episode Two - started on 05.06.2014, finished on 07.06.2014 (5 hours)
188. # Now that's more like it. Genuinely enjoyable experience all around. Not to mention that it looks magnitudes better than the previous entries. Such a pity Valve decided to end on a cliffhanger and then canceled Episode Three...
189.
190. Game 64: Crimzon Clover WORLD IGNITION - started on 07.06.2014, finished on 08.06.2014 (2 hours)
191. # 3cc clear of both Novice modes. Not sure if I have the chops for doing 1cc clear (stage 5 is insane), Arcade is just way too intense for me - I was never all that good with danmaku games. Great game, highly recommended.
192. # Addendum - 1cc clear on 29.06.2014 (6 hours). Steam 2014 GOTY, hands down.
193.
194. Game 65: Mega Man 2 - started on 03.06.2014, finished on 08.06.2014 (2.5 hours)
195. # Quick run on the Hard difficulty, just to check what Japanese players had to put up with. Still a great game, although I think the Normal mode is more fun - some of the boss fights get very tedious with decreased damage dealt/increased damage taken.
196.
197. Game 66: Remember Me - started on 28.05.2014, finished on 10.06.2014 (11 hours)
198. # I think this is the closest we can get to demoscene products while maintaining at least a semblance of interactivity. Amazing visual design, amazing audio score, so-so gameplay.
199.
200. Game 67: Gray Matter - started on 10.06.2014, finished on 15.06.2014 (11 hours)
201. # Well... Liked the game, all right, was wonderfully written at least, and had some great attention to detail with regards to world building. Not sure what to feel about the ending though, felt rushed and a bit nonsensical, especially the romance part. Music was great as well, although I would prefer to have more tunes - it seemed like the game only had three themes.
202.
203. Game 68: World Mosaics 7 - started on 11.04.2014, finished on 16.06.2014 (30.5 hours)
204. # Full 100% clear. Other than two puzzles (out of 500?) being simply unsolvable, the game was great. Despite casual slant, well worth money of every puzzle/picross enthusiast.
205.
206. Game 69: Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney - started on 28.05.2014, finished on 21.06.2014 (22 hours)
207. # Was not as good as Phoenix 3, but then, I don't think anything from this series is. Still, a solid entry, especially considering Shu Takumi wasn't involved in any way. Phoenix was such a jerk in this game.
208.
209. Game 70: Sam & Max: Season 1 - started on 16.06.2014, finished on 21.06.2014 (14.5 hours)
210. # I just love Sam & Max characters, I don't think there is a more funny duo in the gaming world. The type of humor they use just hits all the right notes for me. Game was quite good as well, although it has some examples of adventure game logic. Best played with a guide handy, for those times when you inevitably get stuck.
211.
212. Game 71: Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth - started on 22.06.2014, finished on 29.06.2014 (25 hours)
213. # Not sure how I feel about the format change - the investigation segments couldn't be played with one hand, like previous games in the series. Cases were nice, if tad too long, although nothing groundbreaking. Lovely music. On to AAI2

215. Game 72: The Plan - started on 12.07.2014, finished on 12.07.2014 (10 minutes).
216. # Lovely music, the ending was kind of surprising (just a bit). Good way to spend ten minutes, I'd say. :)

218. Game 73: Sam & Max Season 2 - started on 29.06.2014, finished on 14.07.2014 (12.5 hours)
219. # More Sam & Max. This can't be a bad thing, can it?

221. Game 74: 140 - started on 14.07.2014, finished on 14.07.2014 (1 hour)
222. # Best playable Autechre music video.
223.
224. Game 75: Might & Magic X: Legacy - started on 26.05.2014, finished on 16.07.2014 (41 hours)
225. # Still need to wrap up post-game stuff. Probably my favorite game out of everything I played this year, even if game balance crumbled during the later parts.
226.
227. Game 76: Toki Tori - started on 22.04.2014, finished on 19.07.2014 (6 hours)
228. # Played through the main levels, I seriously doubt I could solve the Hard ones without a walkthrough. There's just something about the game that doesn't mesh with my brain.
229.
230. Game 77: Sam & Max Season 3 - started on 15.07.2014, finished on 20.07.2014 (15.5 hours)
231. # Pretty much the best adventure game Telltale did.

233. Game 78: Teslagrad - started on 20.07.2014, finished on 23.07.2014 (7.5 hours)
234. # Good game, albeit with some pretty annoying faults sprinkled on top.
235.
236. Game 79: Gyakuten Kenji 2 - started on 29.06.2014, finished on 24.07.2014 (25+ hours)
237. # Great improvement over the first game, amazing fan-localization. A bit bloated if you ask me - could've been way better if few sections got edited out. On to AA5.
238.
239. Game 80: Back to the Future (Telltale) - started on 24.07.2014, finished on 27.07.2014 (12 hours)
240. # Pretty much Back to the Future 4. Once again, I keep wishing Telltale would keep producing proper adventure games instead of their make of Visual Novels (like TWD or TWAU)... Oh well.
241.
242. Game 81: Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures - started on 28.07.2014, finished on 03.08.2014 (10 hours)
243. # Puzzles were a bit less logical this time, but I must say I loved the English vibe the game oozed. Also, making the character models look and animate like clay models was a lovely idea. Pity game sold so poorly Telltale pretty much disowned it...
244.
245. Game 82: Hector: Badge of Carnage - started on 04.08.2014, finished on 09.08.2014 (11 hours)
246. # What's this? A classic 2D drawn art PnC game? How come Telltale didn't just buy out the studio that made the game. Would love it all of their games looked this good, really. Also, the potty English humor was just lovely.
247.
248. Game 83: Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People - started on 09.08.2014, finished on 10.08.2014 (12 hours)
249. # Not as good as the previous two games, first episode was just atrocious. Still, fun game. Terribly overpriced, but that comes with the Telltale territory.
250.
251. Game 84: Puzzle Agent 1&2 - started on 10.08.2014, finished on 11.08.2014 (5 hours)
252. # Laytonesque game without most of the charm and good puzzles. Oh well.
253.
254. Game 85: Tales of Monkey Island - started on 11.08.2014, finished on 15.08.2014 (16 hours)
255. # Other than the deus ex machinae ending, I can't find anything at fault with the game. Lovely adventure game, pretty much a fitting return to adventures of everyone's favorite Mighty Pirate (TM).
