  1.
  2. Narrator has connected.
  3. Actinidia has connected.
  4. Narrator: Eating for the next 10m
  5. Avara has connected.
  6. Narrator: Fooding currently.
  7. Avara: hiyo. coffee is being brewed, as ava is a sleepy ava right now.
  8. Narrator: Is 'kay.
  9. Avara: i apologize in advance if sleepy causes trouble, but i should be okay.
  10. DNA: A friend asked me to watch him play ARMS for a bit, I'll still have this up, but if I don't respond right away, that's why
  11. Narrator: We waiting on a Grace?
  12. Narrator: And just notify us of when so we won't wait on you.
  13. Grace Leonhardt has connected.
  14. Actinidia: I'm ready
  15. DNA: Hi ready; I'm dad
  16. Narrator: Anyone need to review the answers before I begin?
  17. Avara: looked over it a bit ago. is time for planning.
  18. Grace Leonhardt: Nope, I'm good.
  19. Narrator: Anyone need to discuss it before I begin? To come to any conclusions before I begin?
  20. Avara: also, achievement unlocked: coffee.
  21. * Avara pokes DNA.
  22. Actinidia: let me double check
  23. Avara: one day i'm going to get some chocolate or something in liquid form for putting into coffee.
  24. Narrator: Chocolate coffee sounds horrifying.
  25. Actinidia: Is the snivy interested in breeding one that I've traded names with?
  26. Avara: chocolate flavoring is used in some coffee drinks already.
  27. Actinidia: Other than that, and the question I added to my sheet, I am perfectly ready.
  28. Avara: white chocolate, specifically, that i know of.
  29. Narrator: I'm not answering the new one.
  30. Narrator: The Snivy is Roxy.
  31. Narrator: I think
  32. Narrator: Yes, Roxy.
  33. Avara: ... someone remind me why i gave etna ethics again? looking at this snake gang thing.
  34. DNA: Because you're a generally nice person?
  35. Avara: DNA, if/when you assign folks to a project, don't assign everyone to it.
  36. Avara: we can do some stuff as a unit ourselves. but we cannot do EVERYTHING.
  37. Avara: it's okay for a project to take longer if it needs to.
  38. Grace Leonhardt: ^
  39. DNA: ...wait, what are you talking about?
  40. Avara: necessities like security and such need to be alloted for personnel-wise
  41. Avara: rather than, say, putting everyone on making a river.
  42. DNA: Ah, good point. I forgot to ask how many NPCs are available.
  43. Avara: total pop is 44.
  44. DNA: Hmm, that's right. That gives some numbers to work with.
  45. Actinidia: Three of them are on team breeding
  46. Narrator: Yeah. Rob asked that question. And it was asked by you last session. >_> And answered in session.
  47. Actinidia: Yep, But it's nice to have on a spreadsheet so thanks for putting up with me. : D
  48. Avara: 'tis why the logistics page is shared. so we can look at each others' pages too.
  49. Narrator: My daughter has made me irritable today.
  50. Narrator: She keeps climbing on me. And grabbing me. And sticking her face into my face. D:
  51. Actinidia: Anyway, it looks like "trial by fire" training method isn't the best. We need to figure out how to fight ourselves (easy because we're PCs!) and then actually train others in combat.
  52. DNA: suction power!
  53. Avara: priority 1 is food resources, before we worry about training up folks.
  54. Avara: priority 1 will ALWAYS be food resources.
  55. Avara: 2 is security.
  56. Avara: food and shelter. two very basic, very fundamental, very NECESSARY priorities before anything else.
  57. Avara: since we're currently trying to run a non-pokemon-eating community, we need to handle the food situation firstmost.
  58. DNA: I want to say you could probably put about a third (or maybe a fourth) of the people there on security. And you'd reserve it for those who are a bit more 'able-bodied', specializing the labor out.
  59. Grace Leonhardt: Well all in all, we have a sh*tton of fruits and vegies, so we can try to plant some of those.
  60. Narrator: They're a quarter of the food resources. And will be worthless by the end of the week.
  61. Roxy: I am breeder 1.
  62. Virgil: I am breeder 1.
  63. Virgil: 2*
  64. Avara: so we should remove the seeds from the fruiteggies, serve them up early, and have the seeds on hand for agriculture.
  65. Adellum: I am breeder 3.
  66. Actinidia: Trying to find the seeds in those to plant would be great. Finding a lumber yard or garden center for more plants would also be amazing. We have enough food here to have scouting parties without too much worry.
  67. Actinidia: By scouting parties, I mean we can adventure freely.
  68. Grace Leonhardt: That sounds about right. That and apparently there are guns and ammo, so... Pierce has an additional set of rations that are rather... resistant.
  69. * Avara raises a hand
  70. Adellum: I am the only female Ekans.
  71. Actinidia: Yes?
  72. Avara: is mars ferrovorous, or is the dex bullshit?
  73. Grace Leonhardt: Que?
  74. Avara: @DNA hey mars does metal make your tumbly rumbly?
  75. DNA: Uh...
  76. Actinidia: Logistics sheet says probably.
  77. DNA: I don't know; does the PAGE dex list diets?
  78. Narrator: Pfft, no.
  79. Avara: it does not.
  80. DNA: In that case - I don't know, maybe? Probably? It is mentioned a few times in entries.
  81. Grace Leonhardt: No? But there are pokedexes in the games that say he's a ravenous lil' thing for metal.
  82. Avara: if mars has the answer to whether or not he's ferrovorous then that's the question to ask
  83. Avara: does metal look/smell appetizing?
  84. Avara: grace, the pokedex is rarely upheld as a fine and upstanding source for genuine lore.
  85. Avara: take it with a fistful of salt.
  86. DNA: I have not actually thought about the question because it hasn't actually come up.
  87. Grace Leonhardt: That's... a fair counterpoint.
  88. DNA: I would like to say 'yes' though if only because it's amusing.
  89. DNA: But it's up to the GM, honestly.
  90. Actinidia: How many days has it been since the start of the game?
  91. Narrator: i need my book
  92. Narrator: iirc, we began on the 22nd.
  93. Narrator: Today will mark the 26th.
  94. Actinidia: Okay, just updating rations. I wanted to convert it to days, weeks are too long to keep on top of.
  95. Narrator: Everyone ready and situated? Should we officially start?
  96. Avara: i think we're okay to start
  97. Avara: time to set everything on fire and run away screaming
  98. DNA: I'm ready.
  99. Grace Leonhardt: I'm ready, beyond saying that grace will probably stash a good chunk of the chocolate she finds.
  100. Actinidia: Done with questions, yes. Ready to start.
  101. July 26th, Monday.
  102. 72 degrees F and it feels nice. Wind speeds have decreased to 12 mph. and it is sunny.
  103. Actinidia, Etna, Grace and Pierce had recently underwent dramatic change and became Pokémon. Actinidia, the Grass-Type Snivy. Etna, the Ice and Rock-Type Amaura. Grace, the Fighting-Type Riolu. Pierce, the Steel and Rock-Type Aron. They have acquired a once Wolf-Spider companion by the name of Uraruren, currently a Bug and Poison-Type Spinarak.
  104. The past day the team has inquired much from their new crew and began coming up with a plan of action to get their settlement started. What will become of today?
  105. It is 6:15 am.
  106. Grace Leonhardt: Waking up was a bit of a hastle, but getting early to work to help prepare some of the breakfasts, as well as removing the parts and seeds for growing was needed. She had her plan set out, now she just needed to DO something about it.
  107. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Right, floor plans, putting the prime people up, and controlling points of access, while meanwhile we need everyone else on food and water," Mars was indiscreetly mumbling to himself, looking for someone. Probably Hjadvir, to organize people.
  108. * Etna shook herself awake pretty early this time, letting Grace handle breakfast while she got some work in, wanting to help with some of the manual labor around the place. She'd given her word they'd be working alongside the snakes, after all, and that's what she was going to do while cooking was going on.
  109. Hjadvir (The Father): Hjadvir (The Father) can easily be found lazing about at the entryway of the building.
  110. Actinidia: Actinidia stood out in the open air, looking up at the sky. She felt something different. It wasn't something she had never felt before, but for the first time in her new body it was an entirely new experience. "... SUNLIGHT!" Actinidia threw her hands in the air. "Praise the Sun!"
  111. DNA: Ha
  112. Hjadvir (The Father): (( brb ))
  113. Actinidia: Actinidia found the others in a good mood. A very good mood.
  114. Grace Leonhardt: Grace was just focusing on just coring fruits, and putting the same seeds into different containers she spent some time earlier marking them with the crude image of the source. As she works, the ready to eat froot pile manages to get a bit bigger as time goes on.
  115. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Oh, Hjadvir. How's the progress going so far?" It was a simple question, but he wanted to see how things were.
  116. Hjadvir (The Father): (( back and caught up ))
  117. Hjadvir (The Father): "Hm? You never told me how much you wanted assigned to the project. I'm still waiting on you."
  118. Grace Leonhardt: (wb!)
  119. Hjadvir (The Father): "I've been informed thogh that Roxy, Virgil and Adellum won't be available for it."
  120. Hjadvir (The Father): "If you want me delegating anything else, I also won't be available. So that potentially leaves you with 41 to 40 snakes. What's your decree?"
  121. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Ah, shoot, that's right. I meant to tell you. For security, I'm thinking maybe 12 or so total, that could alternate in shifts. They'd be guarding the key entry points to the complex, which would be...here and here." He gestures to a few points on the map. And more so the people who are able or at least comfortable with fighting. I'd rather those who are more suited for manual labor or breeding focus on that."
  122. Pierce Mars Oswell: "That would leave everyone else to help with the food and water project, which is the most important thing to get done quickly."
  123. Actinidia: "Might I ask a question?" Actinidia said to Mars, "How free are others to come and go?"
  124. Hjadvir (The Father): "Alright then. 28 snakes will focus on the water project and then work on the plantation project."
  125. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Others, like...inside or outside?"
  126. Hjadvir (The Father): Hjadvir (The Father) pauses and thinks about it, "That's never been established, come to think of it. But it's been commonly accepted that, if you leave you're going to hunt or recruit. Otherwise you stay here for safety."
  127. Hjadvir (The Father): "Outsiders are, obviously, unwelcome. Would you like this to change?"
  128. Actinidia: "My concern is that those who have been guarding here, are used to guarding against agressive attacks. Or try to subdue those who travel close by." Actinidia nodded to Hjadvir, "Outsiders is what I'm wondering."
  129. Actinidia: "Ideally, we should be a community for all. But we've barely established and can't handle a huge influx of outsiders right now."
  130. * Etna walked up to the chatty group, after having finished some chores.
  131. Grace Leonhardt: Grace will walk into the room with a multi layered push cart that had a few trays with different fruits stacked on. A few pices of fruit seem to be taken already. "Hey guys, I have a good amount of seeds and fruits ready. Didn't go through them all yet though, don't wanna be wasteful." She'll say taking a cored apple and biting into it.
  132. Pierce Mars Oswell: "I wouldn't object to new people per se, but right now the resources are important. So, at minimum, whoever would want to come in should (1) not be hostile and (2) be willing to pitch in with the building effort. Otherwise we're losing time and resources."
  133. Actinidia: "The first resort is to respectfully turn outsiders away. If they are in trouble and need a place to hide, temporarily offer them a place of rest and we can sort out whether they can stay or must leave afterward. If outsiders use force, return with force. Those are my thoughts, but I'm not head of security."
  134. Etna: "At the moment we can't really take outsiders, until we sort out a stable food resource. Anyone who wants to join should be taken to meet us as a case-by-case basis, unless they're obviously hostile." Etna's talking to Act and Mars as much as to Hjadvir here.
  135. Actinidia: "Hm, offering work might be a better idea."
  136. Grace Leonhardt: Swallowing, she'll point over to Act, "Third goes for me. If they're willing to earn their stay, I'm willing to say let them in. Generally being amicable sounds to be the best idea though if they're not wanting to."
  137. Hjadvir (The Father): Hjadvir (The Father) looks at the head of security, Mars, and awaits his decree on the subject.
  138. Pierce Mars Oswell: Mars weighs these ideas. They are all good ideas. "Yeah. I think we should want to meet or take them on a case-by-case basis. Find out what their goals are, what they have to offer, and how they want to work. The priority is to get up and stable, then we can provide for anyone as needed. --So to sum that up, I'd say we screen people and put them to work. Is that all right with all of you?"
  139. Actinidia: "Should we have a rest area for outsiders? We might leave for periods at a time and we wont be there to make judgements."
  140. Hjadvir (The Father): Hjadvir (The Father) continues to wait for the decree from Mars.
  141. Grace Leonhardt: Grace will tilt her head side to side mulling on it before nodding her head. "...Yeeah. That does sound fair. And something temporary would definitely be a good idea."
  142. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Ah, good point. We could put it near one of the security points. This room here" points to the plan again "seems like a good idea."
  143. Hjadvir (The Father): Hjadvir (The Father) nods to Mars, "Then it's settled. We'll have two shifts of three guards on two points. We'll have them defend the area under the conditions set and allow visitors to wait in the waiting area to meet with you before progressing further."
  144. Hjadvir (The Father): The others will be set on working on the water project and then the plantation project. With the exception of the three breeders." Hjadvir (The Father) nods more to himself this time.
  145. Hjadvir (The Father): "I'll return to announce the twelve guards." Hjadvir (The Father) says before slithering away.
  146. Etna: "Since we have followers handling security and construction, we're going to be going on food expeditions. Since the human-to-nonhuman rate seems so low, we might actually be able to get a lot from food markets or restaurants in the area."
  147. Actinidia: "This is true. Garden stores, if possible to find, may have plants growing. Regardless, we should plant what seeds we have here. If we're lucky and the fruit runs on the pokemon rules, we might have fruit in a few days. It's a long shot, but then so was living in the white house so what can you do."
  148. Grace Leonhardt: "Oh! That would be a rather good idea. Canned foods would probably be plentiful. We just gotta be careful about the ones that are dented or damaged. Those obviously don't last nearly as long. Oh! Right, I gotta good chunk of seeds done for right now. I was planning on doing the vegis for lunch or dinner."
  149. Hjadvir (The Father): "The twelve will be my sons: Sarae, Veyo, Meyei, Niffo, Diro, Wefae, Irramno, Tarraspho, Naphrinyo, Thamphrino, Linremei, and Emeanhi."
  150. Actinidia: "Should we plant them before we leave?"
  151. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Probably, yeah, if there's some fertile soil available. Less time we have to wait for later?"
  152. * Etna nods.
  153. Etna: "We'll give that a try, and see what we can do with that. Hjadvir, we're going to be going for food today. I'm trusting you to be in charge and keep everything running smoothly while we're gone."
  154. Grace Leonhardt: "That's a fair point. That could be what's taught too. How to care for them and the like for those that dont' know."
  155. Hjadvir (The Father): Hjadvir (The Father) nods to Etna, "I intentionally left myself out of the labor in planning to be your delegationist."
  156. Etna: "Good man."
  157. * Etna nods in approval. Then looks at Etna.
  158. Etna: "Your eggs. Have they hatched?"
  159. DNA: That's quite the way to talk to yourself
  160. Avara: *looks at act
  161. Avara: sorry i am the sleepy.
  162. * Avara is running on COFFEE POWER
  163. Actinidia: "Not when I woke up... I should go check!" Maternal instict struck again and Actinidia rushed back to her eggs.
  164. Narrator: Upon checking in on your eggs, you find two new Snivy sitting in their place. No egg shells are anywhere to be found.
  165. Actinidia: Actinidia squees!
  166. Etna: "While Act is checking on her children, Hjadvir, has anyone had time to explain the new food supplies to you?"
  167. Narrator: One of the Snivy raises an eyebrow to Actinidia's squee and the other flinches.
  168. Hjadvir (The Father): "No, no one has not. I assume it has to do with the horde of food that miss Grace brought out."
  169. Actinidia: "Oh, I'm sorry. I am your mother, Actinidia. I'm so excited to see you hatched~"
  170. Snivy (Child) 1: "Ah! We have a mom, bro!" Snivy (Child) 1 nudges his brother.
  171. Snivy (Child) 2: "Ah. Yeah. Great." Snivy (Child) 2 scoots away from the budge and rolls his eyes.
  172. Etna: "Yes. As well as the metal cylinders and such. Humans used metal containers, jars, and numerous other methods to make food last a long time without going bad. It might taste a bit weird to animal senses, but it's as good as anything else. Usually. So we actually had a lot more food than the group realized before yesterday."
  173. Hjadvir (The Father): "I'll ration the new food source out. Food is food. I don't think there'll be complaints."
  174. Actinidia: Actinidia sat down next to her children. "I have never had children before. Ooo... what should we name you?"
  175. Snivy (Child) 2: "Something with a lot of s's." Snivy (Child) 2 nods.
  176. * Etna nods. "Right. I just want to make sure it's understood. We'll probably be bringing back a lot more of the container food when we return, since that's less likely to have gone bad in the few days it's been since the transformations."
  177. Actinidia: ((what are genders? Both boys?))
  178. Snivy (Child) 1: Snivy (Child) 1 tilted his head form side to side, "Something that speaks to me. Something...AWESOME."
  179. Narrator: Both are male.
  180. DNA: My sword hand twitches.
  181. Avara: salazar sarasa and thordin?
  182. Actinidia: Actinidia tapped at her chin, "Hm Hm~"
  183. Etna: "Grace is handling the food preparation right now since she's the only one with hands. Snivy will have hands until they evolve, but shouldn't be near flame, since they're easier to burn. Dratini will have hands and feet and generally be tall when they finish evolving the second time, so they'll be better for handling that stuff then. There are a couple of tools for opening the metal containers easily without breaking them, since breaking metal containers risks getting metal in the food. I'll show you those, while we wait for Act to finish, if that's alright?"
  184. Hjadvir (The Father): "That sounds like a good idea." Hjadvir (The Father) nods to Etna.
  185. * Etna will merrily lead Hjadvir on a tour of the kitchen and its myriad tools and supplies, including the extremely relevant Can Opener and, if present, Electronic Can Opener.
  186. * Etna will ALSO be covering, y'know, kitchen safety.
  187. Hjadvir (The Father): Hjadvir (The Father) appreciates not dying horribly in the kitchen.
  188. Actinidia: "How about... Setszas. Setszas and Alvarex?"
  189. Etna: "If there's anything else around here you don't know about, don't fully understand, are curious about, or... anything else. Feel free to ask any time I'm around. I'd prefer you know everything you need to, and I might not think to cover something since, from my life before this, it was regarded as common knowledge."
  190. Etna: "And since you're smart enough to lead and teach, you can help get the information to anyone else in the group too."
  191. Snivy (Child) 2: "I am Setszas." Snivy (Child) 2 nods, "Ssssetssszasss. I like it."
  192. Snivy (Child) 1: Snivy (Child) 1 stands up and leans back, shouting, "ALVAREX!!!!!!!!"
  193. Hjadvir (The Father): "I'll teach about kitchen safety. I'll note any questions that may arise during use. I can't possibly think of them now without the trial and error."
  194. Etna: "Understandable. I also meant anything else in the building, as well."
  195. Etna: "Or just, in general, any questions you might have."
  196. Etna: "I'll do my best to answer."
  197. Actinidia: Actinidia's smile glowed.
  198. Hjadvir (The Father): "I'll note those too." Hjadvir (The Father) nods.
  199. Setszas: Setszas stands up and dusts himself off, "So, what now, mother?"
  200. Alvarex: "I demand adventure! Exploration! Romance! Surprise evolutions!"
  201. DNA: Alvarex gets it
  202. Alvarex: Alvarex psychs himself up, "Point me to the nearest ocean! The largest mountain! The biggest cloud! I'll dive the deepest, climb the furthest, and eat the biggest, fluffiest cloud ever and let the thunder erupt from my tummy!"
  203. Setszas: "I'll...do none of those things, thank you." Setszas scoffs.
  204. Actinidia: "Hahaha, well my dears, we can begin by meeting the others that live here."
  205. Avara: sounds like one'll want to go with us and one won't
  206. * Etna checks herself for Uraruren, since Ura seems to favor Etna as a mount.
  207. Uraruren: Uraruren has been sitting on your shoulder perpetually smiling the whole time. She might be whispering "Uwaaaaaaaa....!" in your ear.
  208. Alvarex: "I will meet and greet them all! Individually! With gusto!"
  209. Etna: "Food supplies and safety are pretty fun to learn about, aren't they, Ura? I hope you were paying attention for all of what I went over."
  210. Setszas: "Ugh, moooooom. Do we have to?"
  211. Uraruren: "I'm going to teach everyone back home alllllllllllllllll about this. And then we will raid and pillage alllllllllll the pantries."
  212. DNA: read as panties
  213. * Etna chuckles in good-natured amusement.
  214. DNA: "No, that's something else."
  215. Etna: "I'm glad to hear you're learning well."
  216. Actinidia: Actinidia gave Settie a pat. "Yep. We need to know our neighbors. Who we live with and who looks after us. And whom we may need to look after one day." Actinidia turned to Alvie, "And I'm sure everyone will love meeting you two. So lets get going."
  217. Narrator: Most of the snakes are in the main hall dreading - prepping for the river creation project.
  218. Setszas: Setszas steps in and looks around, "Uh. Hi. I was just born." Setszas waves half-heartedly.
  219. Narrator: The snakes blink for a moment and turn to look at Actinidia and her children.
  220. Alvarex: Alvarex grins and wipes his nose with a sniff, "OHHHHHH YEAH!!!"
  221. Avara: alvarex is a fusion of macho man randy savage and rock lee.
  222. Avara: or maybe maito gai
  223. Alvarex: Alvarex dives in front of the first female snake and grabs her hand, "Hi! I'm Alvarex! Say it with me!"
  224. Avara: it's hard to tell.
  225. Dunsparce 11: Dunsparce 11 blinks, "U-U-Uh-Alvarex?"
  226. DNA: Rock Lee or Might Guy?
  227. DNA: ...how many ideas has Dan given you
  228. Actinidia: "Hello everyone. These two just hatched this morning." Actinidia said with a sickingly sweet pride only a parent is capable of.
  229. Avara: i'm writing naruto fanfiction, DNA. i don't need dan to have naruto-related ideas.
  230. DNA: This question was primarily directed towards the GM, but that also answers the other half of my question.
  231. Alvarex: "ALVAREEEEEEX!" Alvarex poses and flexes, "I was just born. Like ten minutes ago or something. I just got this name. And I love you." Alvarex nods, "I'm so glad we have this chance to meet. And connect. Hua!"
  232. Avara: kaorin is reading my naruto fanfiction.
  233. Avara: and helping with some of the brainstorming.
  234. DNA: Ah
  235. Alvarex: Alvarex slithers over to the next snake, intentionally finding a male, "Hi. I'm Alvarex. Who might you be?" Alvarex rubs affectionately against the Ekans.
  236. Ekans 6: Ekans 6 immediately leans away, "OHFUCK!"
  237. Etna: "Alvarex sure seems... enthusiastic."
  238. Actinidia: (( And the other one is Shikamaru?))
  239. Avara: so far.
  240. DNA: I'd believ eit
  241. Actinidia: ((BELIEVE- okayno))
  242. Avara: DATTEBAYO
  243. Alvarex: "Ohfuck? What an unusual name. But it's nice to meet you! We'll be bro's and protect all the ladies. With me? Of course you are." Alvarex poses and flexes, "Alvarex. Alvarex. Come on, you say it too."
  244. Ekans 6: "What? No, my name's not ohfuck. It's Killo-"
  245. Alvarex: "Too late. Ohfuck is your name. Cannot unhear. Do not want new name. Not enough space in my braincase for your silliness. You're a nice guy, Ohfuck. We'll be best bro's."
  246. Actinidia: "Alvarex, don't touch others out of the blue like that. It makes them uncomfortable."
  247. Etna: "Act, rein in your kid a bit."
  248. Ekans 6: Ekans 6 is now known to all as Ohfuck.
  249. Ekans 6: There is no longer any NPC in this room that will call him otherwise.
  250. Avara: pfff
  251. Avara: ekans 6 is osaka.
  252. Alvarex: Alvarex continues this with every. Single. Snake. Individually.
  253. Setszas: Setszas becomes a wallflower. On purpose. Fuck doing that crap.
  254. DNA: Mars decided to wait outside until they got back, so he is completely unaware of any of these shenanigans going on inside. His loss.
  255. * Etna waits to see if Alvarex will introduce himself to the non-snakes in the room (mostly just herself and ura right now, as mars has abandoned ship and grace is busy hoarding chocolate).
  256. Alvarex: After exhausting all the snakes energy in the room with his over-the-top introductions, he turns to Etna and gives a jolly grin, "Ohhhh myyyy." Alvarex says as he slithers quickly over to Etna and gives her the once over. But with deep interest, "Aren't you just the cool cat in this room? Someone here isn't moving at a glacial pace, are they?"
  257. Alvarex: "Hi. I'm Alvarex. Speak it with me. With feeling. For it is AWESOME."
  258. Etna: "Hello, Alvarex. I'm Etna, your mother's boss. This is my apprentice, Uraruren. Say hi, Ura."
  259. Alvarex: "Mom's boss?" Alvarex looks over to Actinidia with a little worry before blowing a raspberry and shrugging, "Hah, that's okay. Oh? You have a friend?"
  260. Uraruren: "Hi. I'm death incarnate."
  261. Etna: "She really is. It's cute."
  262. Alvarex: Alvarex pauses and blinks before nodding slowly, "...Huh. You're terrifyingly small."
  263. Uraruren: "I'm glad you understand your place. But I like your energy. Never stop smiling, okay? It pleases me."
  264. Alvarex: "...Only if you say Alvarex with me."
  265. Actinidia: "And she's defeated enemies bigger than Etna. Size can be decieving."
  266. Uraruren: "But of course, my dear." Uraruren clears her throat, "AAAAALVAREEEEX!"
  267. * Etna says it along with Ura, but less loudly.
  268. Alvarex: Alvarex pumps his grassy arms in the air as she screams, "Alvarex! Alvarex! Alvarex!"
  269. Setszas: "...I'm surrounded by idiots."
  270. Etna: "It's easier to find a calm amusement at the idiocy than it is to force everyone up to your standards. Be content with live-in amusement."
  271. Actinidia: Actinidia took a seat near Setszas, now that Alvarex was entertaining himself. "And what would you rather be doing? Or learning, perhaps?"
  272. Setszas: "I would rather be learning how to evolve." Setszas looks to the side, "And what it means to obtain absolute power. I don't know what sort of circus this is, but we can do better than...than this! We should be. We must be. We have to be." Setszas looks to Actinidia, "Don't you agree mother?"
  273. Actinidia: "I agree. I've only been here one day, and only just begun to put things into motion. If I knew how to evolve, I would have done it myself. But I am learning my talents, and trying to develop them."
  274. Grace Leonhardt: Grace will catch up with the others with the fruit cart, and seeing the newly hatched kids, she'll clap in excitement. "Oh! They hatched! Congrats Act! Would you two like some food?" She'll say motioning to the cart.
  275. Setszas: "Hmph." Setszas says as he folds his arms, "Then you don't need to help me. I'll surpass you on my own. And then I'll teach you." Setszas nods to Actinidia, "You only have a day over me. You're at a disadvantage."
  276. Alvarex: Alvarex gasps loudly, "FOOD?! ABSOLU---"
  277. Setszas: Setszas dashes over to Grace and abruptly shoves Alvarex to the ground, "I will accept nourishment."
  278. Alvarex: "H-Hey!" Alvarex stands up and dusts himself off before holding up his arms in a fighting stance, "That was rude, bro! You wanna fight?"
  279. Setszas: Setszas ignores Alvarex and focuses intently on Grace.
  280. * Etna waits to see how Act handles the kids, since Act is mom and all.
  281. Hjadvir (The Father): Hjadvir (The Father) chuckles, "I sense a rivalry brewing."
  282. Etna: "They're siblings born close together... and very different. It makes sense they'll be a bit rivalric, but I hope it doesn't go out of control."
  283. Grace Leonhardt: Grace will chuckle at their rather contrasting attitudes. "Break it up break it up! No need to be fighting in the whitehouse. Anyway, take your pick of the fruit on the cart you two! There's plenty right now." Grace will then notice one of them looking at her. "Oh? is there somethin' I can help you with?"
  284. Narrator: (( brb, putting Emi in her bed. She fell asleep watching miraculous ladybug ))
  285. Grace Leonhardt: (Awww das cute!)
  286. Actinidia: ((I was pulled away, so I didn't have a chance to react!))
  287. DNA: Ha-ha!
  288. Actinidia: "Setszas!" Actinidia growled, "We don't bully others to get our way! Least of all your own brother!"
  289. Narrator: (( and back ))
  290. Avara: woobee
  291. Grace Leonhardt: (wb!)
  292. DNA: yo yo
  293. Setszas: Setszas turns to Actinidia when she yells at him and he nods, "...Fine, mom." Setszas then turns to Alvarex, "Not like you could take me anyway." Setszas then takes two pieces of red fruit and walks away.
  294. Alvarex: "Tch, spar me and say that! I don't need to hide behind mama from you! I'm strong!" Alvarex turns to Grace and smiles to her, "Hi. I'm Alvarex." Alvarex wiggles.
  295. Alvarex: "It has rex in it. Like a seductive bark. You like those, right?" Alvarex slides up close to her as he says this, "Come onnnnn~ Say it with me. Say it with your snout." Alvarex leans back and looks to the ceiling, "Say it with your chest! Say it like you mean it! ALVAREX!!!"
  296. Avara: brb
  297. Pierce Mars Oswell: "...I wonder what's taking them so long..." Mars thought outside. "It shouldn't take that long...should it?"
  298. Narrator: I'm so sorry DNA.
  299. Narrator: Blame Rob. He had kids.
  300. Grace Leonhardt: Grace lightly bops Alvarex on the head. "Didn't I say break it up?" She'll say with a jovial smile on her face, before she just rubs his head. "I'm Grace. Pleasure to meet you Alva. What's your name?" She'll ask the one that was staring at her earlier.
  301. DNA: Oh wow Rob, congrats.
  302. DNA: I feel bad for not hearing about it before.
  303. Setszas: Setszas chews his food carefully before answering, without looking at Grace, "Setszas."
  304. Grace Leonhardt: Grace will reach forward to rubb Setsznas on the head as well. "Pleasure to meet you Sets!."
  305. Actinidia: Actinidia says to Setszas, "He has spirit, you have cunning. The two of you might contrast each other, but that can become a strength if you work together. Take me for example, all of my abilities make me a stronger healer. I can keep my hotblooded allies up and fighting for longer, allow them to perform at their best." Actinidia sighed and said with complete earnestness, "No one is without weakness, as a grass type you're going to need to accept that. Fire, Bug, Flying, Ice, Poison... these are your bane. Accept them and work with those who can help counter them." Communication to sway Setszas to see the practical side to teamwork. I'm not going to use my +2 from Mistress because no.
  306. Actinidia: 1+3+4+0=8
  307. Actinidia: Woooow
  308. Setszas: Setszas flinches, "...You're...you're touching me. Stop tha-don't touch m-GERMS!"
  309. Grace Leonhardt: Grace will pull her hand away, and will recoil for a second. "Sorry! Sorry, I'll keep it in mind hat you'd rather not be touched."
  310. Setszas: Setszas shrugs at Actindia, "I know water techniques. I'm not afraid of any fire type."
  311. Alvarex: "I don't know what I know. But it's green. And looks like tentacles."
  312. Setszas: "You know vine whip, idiot. I told you that when we hatched and you were wilggling them around."
  313. Alvarex: "Whatever. But mama's right. We can be awesome together!"
  314. Actinidia: "And not all who use fire are fire types. And fire was only one in a list of five.
  315. Setszas: "You don't even know the difference between Bug and Grass Types. Or Ice and Steel Types. Why would I rely on you for anything?"
  316. Alvarex: "Because mama said so. And she can count. I trust her."
  317. Setszas: "I CAN COU-" Setszas paused and took a deep breath, "Mother. I appreciate your concern but I'm aware of my shortcomings. And his. He's no use to me." Setszas stands up and looks around the room, "...Or to anyone else here. I'm going to go eat my sweet and juicy food alone in peace. Excuse me."
  318. Setszas: Setszas will take this moment to exit.
  319. Narrator: You succeeded with Alvarex. But not with Setszas.
  320. Actinidia: Hopefully I can try again later.
  321. Actinidia: Actinidia nodded to Setszas, allowing him his space.
  322. * Etna isn't sure if she should be amused or bothered by the antics of Act's family, and settles for both.
  323. Avara: i am teh back
  324. Grace Leonhardt: Grace will hesitate for a moment or two, before she'll look at Alva, "Hey, keep an eye out for your brother. He may act tough, but you two are new to this in general after all."
  325. Grace Leonhardt: (wb!)
  326. Alvarex: Alvarex shrugs, "If he let's me. And isn't a jerk. He thinks he knows everything anyway."
  327. Uraruren: "I killed the Onix of this clan. And I don't know the difference between Bug and Grass Types. They're both green. Who the hell cares?"
  328. Alvarex: "YOU UNDERSTAND ME!"
  329. Uraruren: "DAMN RIGHT I DO!"
  330. Grace Leonhardt: Grace will let out a sigh, "Ura, you're only a few days older than Alva. There's a bit more than a small difference between the two hun."
  331. Actinidia: ((I'd ship them but they're not in the same egg group and I'm Alvarex's mother so no))
  332. Etna: "Ura, do we need to go over type science again? So you know who you're best suited to kill and who you're better off letting others soften up?"
  333. Uraruren: "Well I'm certain he hasn't killed any Onix. So I'll stick with I killed an Onix and continue to call Bug and Grass green. Because they are."
  334. Alvarex: "You're my spirit animal!"
  335. Uraruren: "I have no idea what that means but that sounds awesome and I'll accept it."
  336. * Etna is going to have a lot of entertainment with her cute little apprentice and Act's enthusiastic son interacting. Until Ura decides to eat Alva or something.
  337. Grace Leonhardt: Grace will raise an eyebrow at that. "You know what a spirit animal is?"
  338. Alvarex: "I know most things mama knows." Alvarex nods, "Like. I know I like tacos. I've never had one. But I know I like them."
  339. Uraruren: "...What's a taco?"
  340. Alvarex: "From what I know? It's delicious."
  341. Etna: "It's a type of food. Originates from a land faaaaar away from here, uses meat, either flour--not flowers, but an ingredient whose name sounds the same--or corn, and sometimes cheese and vegetables."
  342. Grace Leonhardt: "Well, that's some info that I sure as heck didn't expect to get passed on that's for sure."
  343. Actinidia: "Oh, so memories pass on...? Or is it knowledge? I wonder what the difference is."
  344. Uraruren: "I have a new personal quest. The search for tacos. I must eat this."
  345. Etna: "We might find some while we're out searching for food. Depending on our luck, they might even be okay to eat when we get there."
  346. Alvarex: "I dunno. I just know things that I know I know from you knowing. You tell me what that means."
  347. Actinidia: "Do... you know who your father is?"
  348. Etna: "Probably memories, Act. Knowledge would come with some understanding. Memories wouldn't have the context information."
  349. Alvarex: "Uhhh. He's another Snivy. Thaaaaaat's about it. I don't think you knew him very well."
  350. Uraruren: "I demand we begin our quest for tacos."
  351. Etna: "I'm ready to head out too, if the others are. Hjadvir'll have a good handle on things here."
  352. Actinidia: "His name was Snoe, and I didn't know him that well. It was irresponsible of me and I have no regrets." Actinidia smiled to Alvarex.
  353. Actinidia: Actinidia looked uncomfortable once talk of leaving came up.
  354. Hjadvir (The Father): "I think I have things in hand for the time being."
  355. Etna: "... Act, it's probably not safe to take them right away. Do you want to stay behind, or do you want to set them up with someone to keep an eye on them while you're gone?"
  356. Actinidia: "I don't know. Mixed instincts... I want to stay but I feel like it isn't wrong to leave when they're both so capable already." Actinidia paused, "But... I know I have to go. I can't stay idle.
  357. Actinidia: Actinidia gave her son Alvarex a hug, "I'm going to be going now. Perhaps a day, perhaps longer. It's a part of my responsibility as a leader here. Now, I want you to be good, don't overstep your boundaries or make any enemies."
  358. Alvarex: "I'll make you proud mama! I promise!" Alvarex nods to Actinidia and then hugs her tightly.
  359. Actinidia: "Now I need to find Setszas to say the same. It'll be brief, I'll be back soon."
  360. Actinidia: Actinidia finished the tight hug and left to find her other son.
  361. Setszas: Setszas can be found sitting where he hatched licking his hands clean.
  362. Setszas: (( brb ))
  363. Actinidia: "Hello Setszas." Actinidia said before walking in. "I have a mission to go on, so I will be gone. Hopefully only a day's length, but it may be more. I want to come back to see what you've learned, so study and practice hard. Okay?"
  364. Actinidia: "We don't have any disciplined combat styles here, it sounds like. Everyone here learns through fighting or dying. I know you can figure out something better."
  365. Setszas: Setszas pauses and nods to Actinidia, "That's not very effective. I'll figure something out." Setszas stands up and turns to Actinidia, "Whatever it is you have to do don't come back until it's done. I don't want you with any regrets."
  366. Setszas: Setszas bows his head to Actinidia as a show of affection. Or respect? One of those.
  367. Setszas: (( Also back. ))
  368. Actinidia: Actinidia bowed back. To a son who didn't want to be touched, it was her way to return a hug.
  369. Actinidia: "Be the best you can be." Actinidia said, then left to find the others.
  370. Setszas: "The best I can be isn't good enough..." Setszas whispers to himself.
  371. Actinidia: 2+2+1+3=8
  372. Actinidia: Actinida's hearing isn't too good that day.
  373. Narrator: When you guys head out into the world, be sure to let me know what exactly it is you guys are doing. Or going for. And where I suppose.
  374. Actinidia: The home depot sounded good. At the very least we could update human allies on what has been happening and get more information on what is going on. What does everyone else think?
  375. Grace Leonhardt: Sounds just about right on what's needed!
  376. Etna: "Food first. Home depot has building supplies, which we -will- need later. But we need to secure food and a way to carry it back. There should be some grocery stores between here and there, anyway."
  377. DNA: We have a home depot? Dang, that's great.
  378. Actinidia: It's prooobably raided.
  379. Etna: "We've run into mostly non-humans with only a handful of humans so far. It's worth checking."
  380. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Better than nothing. And if we don't check, it's gone anyway."
  381. Narrator: I imagine you guys have things to do before you go. Just announce when you're heading out. And I take it you guys are stopping by Reshiram before heading to the home depot - as it's past her home.
  382. Grace Leonhardt: That'd be a good idea ye
  383. Avara: gathering up our stuff, any last-minute orders and arrangements we need to make, etc.
  384. Actinidia: "Home depot should have some seeds in packets, that's what I'm hoping no one took. But groceries will also be something to look for. All stores will have pallets to carry things on, and means to move around pallets."
  385. Etna: "So we'll go to both if we can. I want to go through any fresh food we can find before we have to dig into the canned stuff, and they have a better chance of having seeds too. So grocery store or stores, and then home depot or anything like that we can find."
  386. Avara: i'm pretty much ready to go whenever.
  387. DNA: As am I! Grocery, Reshiram, and Home Depot - preferably in that order! whichever is closest.
  388. Avara: and yes, visiting reshiram is a good idea.
  389. Avara: to talk with her, to let her know what's going on, and to get directions.
  390. Narrator: Exit time: 8:15 am.
  391. Actinidia: "And any farm feed. We are sort of animals now, it might sustain us."
  392. Narrator: Are you guys exploring for a grocery store or are you just looking for any on the way to Reshiram?
  393. Narrator: 'lo?
  394. Actinidia: I'll leave that up to Etna.
  395. Actinidia: That one was her plan
  396. Avara: the latter. direct to info source.
  397. Grace Leonhardt: ^
  398. DNA: A grocery store on the way it is!
  399. Narrator: Your trip to Reshiram's place is uneventful. But you notice a severe lack of blood and bodies on your usual path. Including the ones you had left behind. You don't see any grocery stores along the way.
  400. Narrator: Arrival time: 11:30am
  401. Actinidia: Hearing to know where populations might be.
  402. Actinidia: 2+3+3+3=11
  403. Narrator: The place of Reshiram's little set of houses has changed much since your last visit. A large wall has been set up around the entire collection of homes, including a ceiling, made entirely of car parts. They're all been welded together.
  404. Actinidia: Not going to use the stunt.
  405. Narrator: There's only a singular entrance to the location, placed high up along the wall with no means to actually reach it.
  406. DNA: Perception (Smelling) for other life. Also I don't remember what Bloodhound's bonus is so I'm not going to add it, but I think it's +2
  407. Unresolved value "modifier".
  408. Pierce Mars Oswell: 6+2+6+2=16
  409. DNA: o bby
  410. DNA: wait, it was +3
  411. Narrator: You'll want to note that in the notes section of your token.
  412. DNA: so that means +3 + bloodhound
  413. DNA: Yeah, it was on my character sheet, and when I re-saved a new version, I apparently forgot that bit
  414. DNA: But I'll put it on the token too; good call
  415. Actinidia: "I can hear voices on the other side of the wall."
  416. Narrator: Any stunts DNA?
  417. DNA: ah, it's + stunt points
  418. DNA: so that means I have 8 stunt points right now
  419. DNA: sec
  420. DNA: Resources at Hand (Seeing) + That Makes Me Wonder (also Seeing)
  421. Pierce Mars Oswell: 5+4+1+5=15
  422. Narrator whispers: You notice there's a lot of scorched marks all around the area, permanently applied to the ground and other nearby surfaces such as rocks, tree's etc. There's been combat here. A lot of it.
  423. Pierce Mars Oswell: "There are scorch marks all over the place here. There's been a lot of combat here. And if you can hear voices..."
  424. Pierce Mars Oswell: "That might mean that Radegonda has been busy."
  425. Narrator whispers: There is life nearby, small life though. But they're giving this area plenty o froom. You can't tell if they're moving around the place to get by or merely keeping an eye on it. But there are scents of creatures inside the wall you don't recognize, though the remainder of the Rice family and the Reshiram are definitely present. But you smell another human. A female and two Pokémon you don't recognize.
  426. Actinidia: "Shall we say hello?"
  427. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Yes, let's."
  428. Grace Leonhardt: "Whoo boy, I hope she sees who's here first before fireing..."
  429. Actinidia: "Hello! Dr. Radegonda?!" Actinidia shouted, then turned to Etna, "Care to try humanspeak?"
  430. * Etna will wait first.
  431. Narrator: The entrance opens up - it's apparently a large car door - and a combee flies out and quickly gives your group the once over.
  432. Michelle: Michelle flies down to you all and smiles happily, "It's you guys!"
  433. Actinidia: "Hello! We were on our way through and wanted to check in. You've really got a nice place here, haven't you."
  434. Michelle: "It's pretty defensible now, I think." Michelle nods, "I'll tell them to let you in."
  435. Michelle: Michelle flies back up and through the open door. After a moment a sliding ladder slides down to you to form a makeshift stairwell for you to ascend.
  436. Actinidia: "We need an entrance like this." Actinidia nodded with approval.
  437. Grace Leonhardt: "I'll say. This is super defensable, even by old human standards!"
  438. Etna: "We'll work on it when we get the chance to work on defenses."
  439. Pierce Mars Oswell: Mars gives a low whistle. "I need to ask who came up with this idea how he did it."
  440. * Etna ascends.
  441. Avara: coffee power is starting to run out.
  442. Narrator: It's almost midnight. :P
  443. Avara: it's almost time, yes. 27 minutes.
  444. Narrator: Ascending into the place you find a wooden staircase on the other side. It looks like it was ripped straight from one of the houses.
  445. Grace Leonhardt: "Can't fault them for being reusing things that's for sure."
  446. Narrator: Inside of the place lights hang from the ceiling and at the epicenter of the place stands Radegonda. One of the doors to one of the five houses suddenly slams shut and from its windows you can see a blond girl watching with intensity and beside her a Dratini. Sitting on the stoop of the house, however, is a Chimchar that watches you enter the place suspiciously.
  447. Michelle: Michelle flies over to Radegonda and flutters happily, "I told you it was them! They're too good to die out there!"
  448. Actinidia: Actinidia looks around before seeing others staring. Actinidia tipped her hat to them.
  449. Reshiram: "I'm very relieved to see that." Reshiram lumbers slowly over to greet you all, "Welcome back, friends. It's so good to see you again."
  450. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Hello, Radegonda," Mars gives a small bow. "You'll probably be pleased to know we managed to take back the White House."
  451. * Etna nods in greeting to Radegonda. "It's good to see you again too. You've done a lot with the place in the past couple of days."
  452. Radegonda: "You managed to decimate that snake gang? I'm quite impressed! That explains their lack of activity lately."
  453. Grace Leonhardt: "Well, we kind of did something a bit more re-constructive."
  454. Actinidia: "Decimate? No. We only killed the leader, three guards and chased off the second in command. We're the new leadership now."
  455. Etna: "Most of the snake gang were children. Younger than Uraruren, actually. We eliminated their leader and took them over. We're in the process of restructuring and organizing them into a proper peace-keeping force, but one or two enemies escaped."
  456. Radegonda: "I hope they won't try to form the same gang elsewhere then. But a peacekeeping force sounds nice - if it holds up to that and doesn't end up corrupt."
  457. Radegonda: Radegonda turns to the Chimchar, "Amarant! Come meet my friends."
  458. Etna: "Well, you're around to keep us from going crazy with power, and we're the people leading the peace-keeping force, so... I doubt we'll have the chance to go bad like that, really."
  459. Amarant Grimsley: Amarant Grimsley stands up slowly and walks upright over to your group. Upon standing beside Radegonda, he holds both his hands behind his back just above his tail, "I see them." Amarant Grimsley says with an unnaturally deep voice, "They're impressively diverse - I'll give them that."
  460. Grace Leonhardt: "...Thanks?"
  461. * Etna remains silent, observing Amarant in turn to his grumpy attitude.
  462. Radegonda: "A strength, as I'm sure you'll note." Radegonda nods appreciatively, "This is Amarant Grimsley. He's here with his wife and daughter and managed to secure their safety from Glenburney all the way to here in only a day or so. He's only here temporarily but helped in the places design."
  463. Actinidia: "Impressive work. We're just starting to fortify the white house."
  464. Amarant Grimsley: "It was a terrifying start. But I don't have any intention of remaining here longer than I need to. I'd rather something a little easier to defend but with much better access to the world."
  465. Amarant Grimsley: Amarant Grimsley rubs his chin, "The white house is defensible for sure but...it's arms are quite short as far as access." Amarant Grimsley said, seemingly taking what you said into consideration for his own purposes.
  466. Etna: "Easy to defend and easy access seems a bit self-contradictory. You may have some difficulty finding your ideal home."
  467. Amarant Grimsley: "My eyes are set on the subway."
  468. Etna: "Subterranean or surface?"
  469. Amarant Grimsley: "Subterranean. The surface is likely destroyed. And the train system is definitely destroyed." Amarant Grimsley said, "But if I can get a hold of one of the entrances to the subway and re-create this design here, I can expand it deepeer and deeper into the underground system. Utilizing the tunnels for easy, unseen access, to other places, it'll allow for safe travel and a defensible home. Eventually securing - or closing off - other entrances would be an eventual plan to have better security for my home and family."
  470. Actinidia: "What about food?"
  471. Etna: "Have you accounted for subterranean pokemon in your defensive plans? Ones that can dig through dirt and stone to breach an underground base?"
  472. Grace Leonhardt: "Oh! Kinda like the Metro series?"
  473. Amarant Grimsley: "That's what the access and unseen travel is for." Amarant Grimsley shrugs, "The food issue would be no better solved above ground. Only travel would be more dangerous and more easily tracked by predators."
  474. Amarant Grimsley: "They're more easily dealt with in my experience than ones that fly, teleport, or require light and wide open spaces. Travel above ground is more dangerous."
  475. Amarant Grimsley: Amarant Grimsley nods to Grace's realization.

  488. Avara: i need a link to the translator again, since i had it on my other system before.
  489. Amarant Grimsley: "She is nearby, but I'd rather wait on such news." Amarant Grimsley says folding his arms, "And I'm fine with aiding in design. Did you come here just to contact Doctor R?"
  490. Actinidia: "At this point in the the chaos, both knowledge and good will are at a premium. Actually, we were stopping by on our way to the closest home depot. Chances are it's been cleared out already, but you never know what you find on the way to places."
  491. Etna: "Yes. We wanted to check on how you all were doing, and ask for directions. To any grocery stores, building supply stores, and garden stores you might know of in the area."
  492. Radegonda: "I can assist you with that. Amarant is new to the area so he wouldn't have a good grasp on what's around."
  493. Narrator: With it being late'o'clock and it looking like people are loosing a lot of steam, let's call it here.
