  1. The Bible is not very consistent, either. I mean, to start, Genesis 1 and Genesis 2 disagree completely on the order of how things are created. Also, the Gospel of John disagrees with the other three Gospels on the activities of Jesus, such as how long he stayed in Jerusalem, one saying two days and the other 365 of these days. The Gospels of Matthew and Luke contradict each other on the genealogy of Jesus Christ's father. If you try and refute this stuff with statements such as, "The bible is to be taken metaphorically," I'd have to agree. The Bible is a work of literature, not something to be considered true and worthy of worship. It's just a really neat story, not an answer to how we exist. Also, these contradictions are just the tip of the iceberg. Here's my source, by the way: http://infidels.org/library/modern/jim_meritt/bible-contradictions.html .
  2. Also, in EXO 15:3 "The Lord is a man of war: The LORD is his name. While, in ROM 15:33, "Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen." Another contradiction, in JOH 10:30, "I and my Father are one" while in JOH 14:28 "Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye love me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I. This list of 'mishaps' goes on and on. [same source.
  3. Okay, now is the time I talk about the differences between the Old and New testament which you like to ignore and say that the testamates are the exact same thing. So, in the Old Testament, once the Only Testament, things were different. Examples being, the Old Testamte freed the Christians a bit more, allowing new followers to join in since they have less restrictions. Examples being the Church allowed followers to wear clothes of different fibers and eat more animals. Why would God change his policies, for according to the bible, God is unchanging, he is the same as he was yesterday and today and tomorrow. Here's my source, and also a comprehensive list of changes between the old testament and the new one. http://www.gotquestions.org/difference-old-new-testaments.html and https://www.raptureready.com/faq/faq563.html . Have fun.
  4. I also don't understand what you mean by tales being twisted. Yes, this does happen a lot, but what does it have to do with your point? Are you saying that Christianity inspired every other religion? Lol. Christianity in itself is an adaption of Judiasm. There were thousands of religions before Christianity, and you know it. Before Judiasm, even. And also, yes, tales get twisted. A prime example of this is the Bible, which, has been translated over fourty times. Also, no one even HAS the original text. No one has even read the actual Bible.
  5. Also, your part about 'Christ Remains'. Well guess what, you're not the only religion out there, buddy. Whoop de doo, the official religion of Sparta is still out there [Zorostrainism, source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zoroastrianism and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zoroastrians_in_Iran ]. Not to mention other countless religions that are as old or older then Christianity (I am aware Zoroastrianism is not as old as Christianity, but there are more then enough religions that are).
  6. Okay, now for the part about water-into-wine Jesus Christ magic stuff. Yeah, nature can't do that. Want to know why? It's because it's never been done. It's a physical impossibility. The events recorded in the bible never happened. Big suprise. I'd also like to take this time to say that you still have not given the bible credibility. Also, can you please explain to me what all this "Jesus hates Gays" thing is all about? I hope you aren't homophobic, my friend, but to disprove the masses, the bible says that all humans are created in the image of god [Genesis 1:26 - 27]. Yes, gays are human. Also, the bible talks about how Jesus laid down his life for the world [John 3:16] this means Gays. James 2:4 describes those who discriminate as "Judges with evil thoughs" and that we should love each other equally. Jesus also commands us to love one another [John 13:34]. In Matthew 25 it says that whatever we do to the least of His brothers, we do to Him. Here, my source. http://www.gotquestions.org/racism-Bible.html .
  7. I also want to take the time and discuss why an omnipotent being could never exist. There so many paradoxes that tag along with omnipotence, which make it impossible. For example, "Can God make a rock so big He can't pick it up," is a common one. No one can find out an answer, but if he can't make a rock that big, he is not omnipotent. If he makes it, but he can't pick it up, it also means he isn't omnipotent. A more general version of this is, " If a being can perform any action, then it should be able to create a task which this being is unable to perform; hence, this being cannot perform all actions. Yet, on the other hand, if this being cannot create a task that it is unable to perform, then there exists something it cannot do." Another version of this paradox is, "Can God deny his existance. For, if he can't, he is not omnipotent. And, well, if he can, he doesn't exist. Some more versions of this is asking if God can create a triangle with internal angles that do not add up to 180 degrees. As Aquinas put it, "Since the principles of certain sciences, such as logic, geometry and arithmetic are taken only from the formal principles of things, on which the essence of the thing depends, it follows that God could not make things contrary to these principles. For example, that a genus was not predicable of the species, or that lines drawn from the centre to the circumference were not equal, or that a triangle did not have three angles equal to two right angles." 8. Also, the Bible states the whole story of Noah's Ark. There are many flaws with this story, and Bill Nye points out some of them over at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z6kgvhG3AkI . One major one being the fact that an ark that big in size is physically impossible. A group of researchers gathered some of the world's best craftmen and women to rebuild a ship of SMALLER size. It took them a very long time, even with all of their experience [note that Noah and his mariachi band didn't have any skill in building boats]. When the ship was completed, it sank. Period. The ship was too big to keep afloat, as they could not keep it dry with 40+ crewmen. Source: http://ncse.com/cej/4/1/impossible-voyage-noahs-ark. Not to mention that you still can't fit all of those KINDS of animals on an ark that size. Also, how the hell would you feed them? The food, even if "vegetarian" would take up more size then the animals themselves.
  9. Also, if the Bible was true, why is the Church worried about scientists studying the beginnings of the universe? As stated by Stephen Hawking in this [ http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2424010/ ] excellent documentary, the Church ordered him to never study the origins of the universe, for that is when God comes in. Well, why would they say this if God SURELY created the universe and if the scientists studies the origins, they would find solid evidence of God creating it?
  10. Have fun debating this.
