  1. New Neighbor 2
  2.
  3. In an average fluffy pony owners home a new pet has joined the family, a fluffy griffon. For the last few months the griffon Gary has adapted to life with fluffies, and has become a special friend of the pegasus Ash. She is blue and green and is very bloated from the pregnancy. "Daddee? Wen bebbehs comin? Wan giff bebbehs huggies!" The energetic little pegasus, well formerly little, has been asking every day about her babies. Gary is also curious, "Daddie whai fend so big? What babbie? You daddy? Gary gonna be daddy?!" He's also excited, but also extremely worried. For the past week he hasn't let anyone except the owner touch Ash. Once he even swiped at the older stallion. But, he's been very dedicated to Ash.
  4.
  5. The owner has tried to find what complications could arise from the strange union. No websites or griffon manufacturers know. One scientist actually wanted to witness the birth, but the owner declined. Essentially working in the dark the man has decided to just play it by ear. He has blankets, wipes, some baby griffon food courtesy of Mettal Inc. has also arrived. It's apparently a substitute for flesh and is high in fat, protein, and nutrients. The small box contains two weeks supply, which apparently should carry the possible griffon children to adolescence. But, the owner has no idea whether or not Ash will reject any griffon chicks.
  6.
  7. Eventually the day comes. But, the owner is away while the birthing happens. "Daaadeee! Big poopies! Haf- OWIES! BIGG POOPIES! HRNG! HAA! HAA! OUCHIES! AAAH! DADEE!!! DAAADEEEEEEEE-EEEE!" The griffon is quite scared. At first Gary tries to find the owner, but when he remembers that daddy is away at the magical "work" Gary knows that he has to help. Instinctively the griffon rolls Ash onto her back and comforts her. "C'mon Ashie... Baybees comin... S'ss okay Ashie... Gawee hewe..." Ash strains and groans and cries and contracts but finally a foal slides out. However, when Gary carefully brings it to Ash he knows something is wrong. The baby has a beak, and wings with feathers, but a fluffy tail, and hooves. It also isn't breathing. "Baybee... Gawy hewe... is daddie, peese wakies, nuu sleepies baybee... Ashie.. sumfin bad happin..." But, Ash is too pained by the next delivery to notice. Again a mutated stillbirth is born. This time Ash has a chance to hold them, and after a sniff she cries.
  8.
  9. The two children are dead, even a fluffy can see that, but they also smell "bad" to her. "Nuuu.... why bebbehs bad? Guud mummah... nuu wan bad bebbehs... buh aw Ashies an Gawies bebbehs... Gawee... why bebbehs swee-EE! OWIES!" Her question goes unanswered and Gary places the stillbirths down by her side. He moves to pick up another motionless monster. This one without back legs and instead has large malformed wings. The father is now crying. He's afraid that all the babies are dead, and cries as he shows Ash. "Ahhh ahh Ashie! Behhh beeh beh bebbies nuu wakies! Why? Ah... ahhh..." The two sob as Gary places the latest body with the others. But, soon Ash is contracting again.
  10.
  11. Hopeful and desperate for a living child Gary positions himself to catch the baby. "Be good daddie, help bebbies, daddie hewe bebbies..." The next foal is to his despair another stillbirth. The hot tears are now blurring his vision as he places it with the others. "Noooooo... Why sleepies.... Ahhh ahh haa haa haa...." In too much pain to notice now, the mare struggles to birth once more. But, the father is consumed by grief. He weeps before the four little bodies, broken and mangled before birth. As Ash struggles alone Gary hears her scream and moves to comfort her once more.
  12.
  13. "Gawee sowwy! Help Ashie! Gawee hewwe! C'mon Ashie! Gawee an' Ashie be daddie an' Mummah!" With a great cry she finally pushes the child out. Gary, is at first too afraid to look as he pets Ash's head to comfort her. But, then he hears the quiet peeping of a healthy foal. "Bebbeh?!" The both shout. Gently the griffon picks up the foal. It's a yellow and gray pegasus with all it's fluffy limbs in place and proportion, but more importantly it's alive. The foal peeps loudly as Ash licks it clean cooing and mumbling to the tiny foal. "guud bebbeh, mummah hewe, wuv bebbeh, wuv..." But, as the Griffon moves the foal to a teat (per Ash's instruction) the mare cries out once more.
  14.
  15. Rippling pain shoots through her again as her birth canal delivers once more. But, this time like many before it is followed by silence again. Gary carefully picks up the perfectly formed gryphlet and holds it to his chest. "Nuu... babbie giffin sleepies too... Only one bebbie nuu sleepies... please bebbie... wakies... please..." Hugging his griffon child tight the baby trembles and vomits some fluid. Ecstatic he moves the chirping child to Ash who cleans it without protest. "Wuv gwiffin bebbeh tuu... mah bebbehs..."
  16.
  17. For the next hour the family cleans and nurses their two children. The mare cries as her gryphlet suckles with a tiny beak, but she endures. Their faces matted with tears of sorrow, despair, and now joy the two fluffy parents hold their young. A healthy blue and yellow griffon and a happy yellow and gray pegasus. As the mother nurses her foal again Gary holds his little gryphlet in his arms. "Gawee wuv you bebbie... Gawee am daddie..." And, later that night the owner returns to find a small but happy fluffy family sleeping on their fluffy bed, the stillbirths arranged in a pile asleep on the birthing mat.
