Happy Pinkie

>Day 15 in Equestria.
>You finally realized that this was it.
>No going back.
>No video games, no tv, no internet.
>No college or saturated job market either, but still...
>No babes, girls, women, parties, nothing.
>And you still have to get a job.
>Walking in to Sugarcube corner after another disappointing interview "Ahm sorry, ya can't buck, ya can't work." you take a seat and count out your remaining bits.
>Just enough for one more cupcake.
>Hmmm...worth it, yeah.
>You get up and walk to the register.
"Hey Pinkie, can I have one last cupcake?"
>You slide the bits on the counter.
>"One, LAST cupcake? What, you going on a diet or something?"
"Nah, nothing so dire as a DIET."
>You and Pinkie chuckle.
"It's just the end of my funds. Gotta get a new job. This is the last cupcake till then."
>She looks at you with a small amount of disappointment, but smiles.
>"I'll get right on it!"
>After a short amount of time, Pinkie brings you a single cupcake.
>"Here you are! One last cupcake..."
"Hey, you alright Pinkie? It ain't the end of the world, I'll get a job and come back right after my first paycheck...or whatever it's called here."
>She nods.
>"I just...you seem so down. Do you want to talk about it?"
>Knowing Pinkie, she'd get to this sooner or later.
"Well, I'm homesick. I can never return to my family or friends (ha), there's a lot of things back home that I had and liked, but now I can never see or use again and to top it all off, I still gotta get a job."
>"Oh...well, maybe I'll see you again tomorrow. Good luck job hunting!"
"Yeah, thanks Pinkie."
>You take a bite of your cupcake, an obnoxiously large pastry doused in sweet confection perfection.
>The thing is larger than your head.
"Just how I like em."
>You take the largest possible bite you can, teeth sinking into the moist dessert.
>You are stopped by something...not cupcake like.
>Paper. In your cupcake? More likely than you'd think.
>You spit the offending strip out and finish the cupcake.
>Afterwards you pocket the paper, wave to Pinkie and head out the door.
>You reach the temporary housing Mayor Mare gave you and finally read the note.
>>You're hired, should you ask.
>You turn 360 and reverse the hell back up to Sugarcube Corner.
"Pinkie!"
>You shout, opening the door.
>"Yyyyeees?"
"Uh..."
>She dons an evil smirk.
"Can I work with you?"
>She nods vigorously.
>"See Anon? I told you I'd see you tomorrow. Work is at 8:30 sharp, see you then."
>You are almost out the door when you turn to her one more time.
"Pinkie Pie?"
>You smile and wrap her in a tight hug.
"Thank you."
>She returns the hug as equally tight.
