Sue's Side

I told my friends, they warned me against
her, and what would come if I go over to her side.

One said to me, friend, I too have met Sue.
At times I felt it may have been necessary to
follow along that path, walk where I could never
walk back from. He told me that was the problem:
There was an ultimatum upon
stepping toward her light.
Her light was a darkness, and
maybe I wanted it. But I think I shouldn't
have. I think that was why I was the one
who left.

I told him. I told him, friend, I understand. But
there was nothing left now but her.
When I have nothing else,
shouldn't I have that option?
Another told me, friend, I too understand, but I don't
think this side is the right one.

The third friend, the last one, he told me,
I was with close with Sue for some time.
But when it came time to decide, I just
wasn't ready to commit.
