Grotto of the Goddesses, Part 1

*	DM kicks all of you into... oh where is the actual location of this... SOMEWHERE IN HYRULE VILALGE

<DM>	*You all land in front of a house that has a pot-shaped door, with two crossed swords hanging above it. It seems to be a sizeable two-story house. The street you're on is a small, thin one... barely twice the size of an alleyway. It's got a few folks passing by, but nothin' much this noon.*
<DM>	*Do you all know each other? Probably not, but the plot is about to make you learn or... not learn.*
<Lightwall>	Wow!  How the heck did I get... Oh, hello everyone!
*	Kappa waits at the door.
<Kappa>	Hello.
<Lightwall>	Kappa!  Good to see you again!
*	Serikka_Tonatsu pokes the Kappa
<DM>	*Before you're able to get accustomed to the recovery of spontaneous group kicks from the DM, the pot-shaped door opens, and a girl, probably around the age of 15, appears on the doorway. She's got purple hair, a curious expression, and she's balancing a pot on her head.*
<Maliki>	*Curiously I look over the door and gives a slight wave to the others "erm hello I'm Maliki nice to meet you, oh and this is my freind Herian"
*	Amilena stays quiet.
<DM>	*The door totally hits Kappa, who was standing right in front of the door. Roll Power, Kappa!*
<Kappa>	Good to see you again Lightwall

<DM>	*She looks over at all of you, and she looks a bit intently on the Wolfos.*
<DM>	[???]: Umm... is that a real Wolfos?
*	Lightwall thinks, "boy, am I blind! Why didn't I see that Wolfos before?"

<Amilena>	I heard there was a reward.
*	Orithan opens the packet of chips and pours them into a bowl behind the 4th wall.

*	Serikka_Tonatsu walks inside the house, full of glorious walls and a floor.
<DM>	*You enter the house, reluctant of the plot. Before you is a living area, with various potted plants, pots, and more pots. My god, there's gotta be 30 or 40 pots in this room alone.*
*	Orithan readies the /kick button
<Maliki>	"I guess ?" he says as he walks into the house slowly to take a look around "by the way whats with the door its realy weird*
*	Amilena slyly looks in one or two of the pots for valuables.
<DM>	*Some of the pots are even housing blades and other melee weapons.*
<Sue-Belle>	T-this is my house. Well, p-part of it. Please, take a seat.*
<Kappa>	...Interesting.
*	Sue-Belle offers her hand out... towards the pots. I think she means you can sit on a pot.*
*	Lightwall thinks, "Huh, what a 'pot-house'!"
*	Lightwall sits on a pot.
*	Serikka_Tonatsu just stands
<DM>	*You sit on the pot. Thankfully, it doesn't suck you in.*
*	Kappa takes a seat on one of the pots next to Lightwall
*	Amilena remains standing near a wall.
<Sue-Belle>	S-so... my Uncle went missing after h-he was transformed into a Wolfos a month ago.
*	Lightwall looks up with surprise.
*	Serikka_Tonatsu keeps listening, no facial reaction or anything
<Sue-Belle>	Ummm... he transformed back into a human, b-but then he s-started being weird, and he kept being missing.
<Lightwall>	That's terrible!
*	Kappa looks up with a surprise too.
<Amilena>	How can he be weird if he's missing still?
<Sue-Belle>	I've heard reports from the guards that he's been umm.. harassing and... "testing" the g-guards.
<Sue-Belle>	Just appearing... around town.
<Amilena>	Seems to be a common trend.
<Lightwall>	Man.
<Sue-Belle>	B-but a guard saw him going o-out into the fields last night.
<Maliki>	"hmm and?"
<Sue-Belle>	He thinks it has something to d-do with that rumor that started yesterday.
*	Lightwall kinks his eyebrow.
<Maliki>	"what rumor would that be?"
*	Serikka_Tonatsu keeps listening
<Sue-Belle>	Umm... some townsfolk have been s-saying... there's a sacred g-grotto near L-Lon Lon Ranch. It g-grows a bright and beautiful garden at night, and they say it's the garden of the g-goddesses.
<Amilena>	Sacred Grotto hmm? The rumors say anything about treasure?
*	Lightwall nods, taken aback in awe.
<DM>	*You hear an irate, old man chip in from upstairs.*
*	Kappa nods.
<DM>	[???]: Ah, Sue-Belle ye chipperin' whipper snapper! That rumor ain't true! It's just a rumor, just like stupid Orca's existence!
<Sue-Belle>	Umm, Dad, watch out for the pot.
<DM>	[???]: Look now, I'll-
<DM>	*Suddenly, you hear someone bumbling down the stairs, until you see an old man crash at the bottom of the stairs.*
<Sue-Belle>	... hi Dad.
*	Lightwall stands up.
<Lightwall>	Sir, are you okay?
*	Serikka_Tonatsu doesn't react
<Maliki>	"who or what is orca?
<DM>	[???]: *while bundled up in a reaction related to stair falling* STOP GROWIN' POTS ON THE STAIRS!
*	Maliki moves to pick up the man off the floor
*	Lightwall thinks, "Orca... hmmmm..."
<Sue-Belle>	Umm, don't worry. H-he just doesn't like pot.
<Sue-Belle>	Orca is my uncle. He's umm...
<Maliki>	"growing pots?, that doesn't make sense at all"
*	Lightwall smiles, refraining a giggle.
<DM>	*The old man gets up and dusts his pants off.*
<Maliki>	"you make pots through molding clay?"
<DM>	[???]: Orca is a mess, ya 'ear! A bumblin' mess made of stupidity an' sulfuric pots!
<DM>	[???]: Any'ow, me name's Surgeon..... wait, that doesn't sound right...
<Sue-Belle>	Your name is Sturgeon, Dad. Geez, you're starting to sound more senile than your brother.

*	Lightwall sits back down on the pot.
<Sturgeon>	WHY YOU LITTLE-
*	Sturgeon trips on another pot tryin' to get to Sue-Belle.
<Kappa>	Nice to meet you Sturgeon.
<Kappa>	Name's Kappa
<Sturgeon>	.... I'm goin' to sleep now.
*	Lightwall looks up, concerned.
*	Sturgeon suddenly just snores loudly, passed out on the floor and giving up against the army of motionless pots.
<Maliki>	"what on earth..?"
<Sue-Belle>	Ummm... j-just ignore him.
<Sue-Belle>	He's... like that.
*	Lightwall looks at Sue-Belle.
*	Lightwall smiles, refraining a giggle again.
*	Amilena idly looks into the pots closest to her.
<Lightwall>	So, Sue-Belle, how can we help?
<DM>	*You look into the pot. The blankness of the abyss inside the pot stares back at you, looking deep into your soul. It sees there's nothing there, and the pot goes back to smoking itself.*
<Lightwall>	(lol)
<Amilena>	(Well then)
<Sue-Belle>	Ummm... c-could you all umm... go to t-that grotto and and umm... retrieve my Uncle?
*	Lightwall looks to the others to see if they agree.
<Kappa>	Sounds like something we can handle.
<Sue-Belle>	The r-reward is umm...
*	Amilena shrugs
<Maliki>	"Why not I've got nothing better to do"
*	Serikka_Tonatsu still doesn't respond
<Lightwall>	Count me in!
*	Sue-Belle goes to grab the pot that her Dad tripped over. She leans it in your general direction, and the pure darkness turns to pure shiny, and Fighter approves. She puts the pot back down on the ground.*
<Sue-Belle>	S-so... y-you should get going, I guess.
<Sturgeon>	*SNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORE*
<Lightwall>	Oh, okay!
*	Lightwall heads towards the door and looks back.
<Maliki>	"where are we going?"
<Lightwall>	Oh yeah, where's the sacred grotto?
<Sue-Belle>	Umm.. try going to the b-base of Lon Lon's ramp... annd ummm....
*	Sue-Belle takes the pot off her head, looks into it, and then places the pot back onto her head.
<Sue-Belle>	Head west a little bit, and at night, the garden should appear.
<Lightwall>	Oh, okay!
<Kappa>	Thanks.
*	Lightwall looks toward the door to see if he can spot the sky to tell time of day.
<DM>	*You look towards the door. You fail to spot the sky in the door.*
*	Serikka_Tonatsu walks over to the doorway of doors and pots
<DM>	*It is currently a little bit past noon. If you haven't shopped, go shop. If you haven't seen me rolling down a hill, perhaps you should go to Hyrule Field and find that grotto.*
*	Maliki gets up and heads out of the pot shop and smiles a little "a strange place this, very strange indeed"
<Sue-Belle>	Umm... g-good luck.
<Lightwall>	Thanks!
*	Lightwall heads out the door.
*	Kappa follows Maliki.
*	Serikka_Tonatsu goes out the door
<DM>	*You all head out the door. Do you head to the shop, or have you all shopped already and are ready to go to yon grotto?*
*	Amilena heads out and goes to see if she can see the DM rolling down a hill.
<Lightwall>	Well, I don't have any rupees, so I'll just tag along with you guys.
<Lightwall>	(lol)
*	Serikka_Tonatsu goes over to the shop to see if there is anything worthy.
<DM>	*Yon Darkli-
<DM>	*Yon Amilena has already ditched you all and is already in Hyrule Field. She fails to see me rollin'. She's hatin'.*
<Kappa>	I don't have any rupees either.
<Lightwall>	(lol)
<DM>	*Well, since you all are broke, the plot votes you just head towards that grotto.*
<DM>	*For the record, there is nothing between Hyrule Castle and that grotto, because I was asked to write up a quest relatively on the spot. Consider this an auto-travel thingy.*

*	Firiann tosses faerie dust over the party.

<DM>	*The sun has set, and you all get around to the spot to where the grotto theoretically is. ... in theory.*
<Amilena>	(Tumbleweed travel is the only way to get where you're going in good time.)
*	Amilena climbs up the nearest tree to keep an eye on things.
<DM>	*Just as the moon rises in the distance- clarifcation, the actual moon, not the Majora's Mask moon...
<Maliki>	(how fast is the horse thenXD)
<DM>	(USE THE BOOST TO GET THROUGH

<DM>	*As the moon rises, the moonlight shines upon a seemingly normal patch of dirt in front of you... and begins to transform it.*
<DM>	*Congrats, your first time trying to find something that's merely rumored, AND YOU ALREADY FOUND IT. Gotta love dat plot device, eh?*
<Lightwall>	(sweet!)
<DM>	*Various grasses and flowers grow... and grow. They grow taller than you all, until eventually, a bright and shining forest of all kinds of beautiful and heavily enlarged plants lies before you.*
*	Serikka_Tonatsu runs over to the group of creatures (AKA the group of players)
<DM>	(seriously, this forest is like 50 feet tall at least...  how in the world is this only a rumor?)
<Amilena>	(Wait, does that mean I'm now sitting 50 feet in the air?)

*	Lightwall stares in awe!

<DM>	*Nope! You're all still your respective heights. This is just a nice forest with really frigin' tall plants.*
<Amilena>	(I happened to have been sitting in a tree.)
*	Lightwall begins to look around, stepping forward into the grotto.
*	Serikka_Tonatsu looks unamused
<DM>	*A dirt path opens up before you. It leads into this forest, where everyone seems to be magically lit up with beaming moonlight.*
*	Kappa carefully follows Lightwall
*	Lightwall thinks, "What I wouldn't give for an ocarina about now!"
*	Amilena is thrilled about the moonlight, but she goes along the path anyways.
<DM>	*You step forward into the grotto. The grotto makes no response, though some glowing lights pass by, to and fro.*
<Maliki>	"guys i suggest we be carefull"
<Amilena>	isn't*
<Kappa>	The pretty can be dangerous.
<Maliki>	"I distrust magic at the best of times but something of this level puts me on edge"
*	Lightwall hesitates.
<Firiann>	(Great.  You guys just found ferngully the dungeon)
*	Serikka_Tonatsu walks and walks
<Lightwall>	Well, what can we do?
*	Amilena snaps her fingers and makes a little flame appear in her hand in front of Maliki.
*	Maliki walks into the grotto and perks his ears up to keep his awareness up
<Maliki>	"eyes and ears open"
*	Lightwall continues walking.
<DM>	*You hear the normal sounds of the forest and the night. You know, an audience of crickets for every time you speak.*
*	Kappa carefully walks behind Lightwall
*	Herian takes a step after maliki and keeps close to him
<DM>	*Lightwall, you continue walking for a little bit, and you reach a split-off! As in, the path splits into two paths.*
<DM>	*On the left path, the dirt turns to grass, and in fact, it barely even looks like a path. The right path continues normally, though you see less flowers in that direction.*
*	Serikka_Tonatsu keeps walking along the group
<Lightwall>	Well, which way? Do you think he's where there's less flowers?
<DM>	(please don't party split)
*	Serikka_Tonatsu stops at the path split
<DM>	(I'm already improvin' most of this, I don't need you guys to make it worse)
<Lightwall>	(Got it. I wasn't planning on splitting.)
<Kappa>	I say we travel on the Right path first.
<DM>	*You hear a rustle in the tre- tall grass to your right.*
<Lightwall>	What was that?

*	Lightwall takes a few steps on the right path and stops, waiting to see a response.
<DM>	*You take a few steps in, and now you hear the rustling from your left. It's only a few feet away from you actually.*
<Lightwall>	Hello?
<DM>	*The rustling stops.*
<Maliki>	"Hmmm.."
<DM>	*Lightwall, you hear a voice behind you: "Hello."*
<DM>	*The rest of you don't see anyone behind Lightwall.*
*	Lightwall turns toward the sound.
<Maliki>	"May I be so bold as to make a very serious suggestion, we should try stick to the paths, I realy don't like this place it seems to nice"
<DM>	*You see air, and you cry at the end- oh wait, that's the anime. Nvm.*
<Lightwall>	(lol)
*	Serikka_Tonatsu walks
<Lightwall>	Um, did anyone see who said that last 'Hello'?
<Amilena>	I didn't hear anything.
<Kappa>	Me neither.
*	Lightwall starts wondering if he's hearing things.
<DM>	*The wind begins to blow. The left path that was there suddenly seems to shift around, turning to darkness for a moment. When it lights back up, it's as if the grassy path was never there. You're back to having one path, it seems.*
<Serikka_Tonatsu>	. . .
<Maliki>	"no"
<Lightwall>	Okay. Shall we continue this way?
<DM>	(question, how many of you are Hylian?)
<Amilena>	Well, that just happened.
<Maliki>	(not me)
<Kappa>	(Not me)
<Lightwall>	(I'm half-Hylian, but with Zora powers)
<Serikka_Tonatsu>	I thought I may have heard something.
<Lightwall>	Hmm...
*	Lightwall continues along the path.
<DM>	(huh, no Hylians in the party... kay, guess I don't have to worry about anyone with improved hearing)
*	Kappa carefully follows Lightwall
*	Lightwall keeps scanning the surrounding area as he walks, watching for any sudden moves.
<DM>	*You continue along the path. You can see the moonlight shining in brightly from above. In fact, the moon from inside the forest seems a lot larger.*
<Kappa>	(Will be AFK. Set me to autofollow)
*	Amilena tries to jump to the moon.
<Maliki>	(how abotu the incressed awarenss i have?)
<DM>	*The path splits again. To the right, you can see the path continue for a short while, whereas the path ahead continues going straight.*
<Maliki>	"anyone have a coin they could toss?"
<DM>	(uhh, I guess that'll help ya out somewhat... that's more improved smelling and knowing if there's others around though)
<DM>	(err, lemme read that

<Lightwall>	(Uh, I gotta' go in a minute...)

*	Maliki very carefully follows the straight path forward for a bit and is suprised by a shadowy figgure "Err hi?"

<DM>	*The figure responds to you, Maliki, by producing a Naginata, which is a full 6 feet long.*

<Amilena>	I don't like having weapons pointed at me.
*	Serikka_Tonatsu just keeps walking backwards, towards the way where the split comes
<Kappa>	I don't think we should pick a fight with him.
<Maliki>	(looks like Serikka_Tonatsu's already headed back
