  1. Neville Brody was born in 1957 on the 23rd of April and is an English graphic designer, typographer and art director. He spent three years studying at the London College of Printing where he was met with unfavourable criticism due to his work being very experimental in nature in a school that generally taught traditional printing methods. Brody is best known for his work on The Face magazine from 1981 to 1986, and Arena magazine from 1987 to 1990, as well as for designing record covers for various artists such as Cabaret Voltaire and Depeche Mode. Brody is a founding member of Fontworks, and has designed over 20 different font families over the course of his career, including Arcadia, FF Harlem and Industria.
  2. In 1994 he created the company Research Studios, which has now evolved to the name Brody Associates, a design practice which he launched along with his business partner Fwa Richards. Since then studios have been opened in Paris, Berlin and Barcelona. Some of the studio's recent projects include the redesign of the BBC in September 2011, The Times in November 2006, and the creation of a new font, Times Modern. The typeface shares visual similarities with Mercury which was designed by Jonathan Hoefler, and is the first new font at the newspaper since the introduction of Times New Roman in 1932.
