  1. Bodybuilding Myths
  2. You can change the shape of your muscles
  3. This isn’t physically possible. While you can improve the size of your muscles, and
  4. enhance your definition by lowering your body-fat, it’s impossible to alter the shape
  5. of your muscles by training in specific ways. Unfortunately you’re limited by genetics.
  6.
  7. You can spot-reduce fat
  8. Have you ever seen those infomercials that try to sell you something that will work
  9. your abs and reduce your bodyfat? It doesn’t work. Where you carry more fat is
  10. limited by genetics, what you can however do is reduce your overall bodyfat and
  11. your abs will follow.
  12.
  13. High Reps make you ripped
  14. While High Reps will increase your muscular endurance, they won’t actually help in
  15. altering your definition at all. This is completely a myth.
  16.
  17. Train like a bodybuilder and look like a bodybuilder
  18. So you think by training like Ronnie Coleman you’ll be able to look like him? Unfortunately
  19. not. Ronnie blessed with genetics you could only dream of. The up side is
  20. you can still make massive gains and look incredibly aesthetic, regardless of your
  21. genetics. Anyone can improve themselves.

  24. All Fat is bad fat
  25. Fat’s are an essential part of your diet, and not all fats are made equal. You will find
  26. out later in this book what the difference between the fats is, but the main thing to
  27. remember is, fats are absolutely essential.
  28.
  29. You can get big and cut at the same time
  30. It’s basically impossible to put on muscle while losing fat at the same time. While it
  31. can theoretically happen to a small extent, the results will be minimal. This is why
  32. you need to have bulking and cutting cycles, it is the only way to achieve the body
  33. of your dreams.
  34.
  35. You don’t need to eat – you just need supplements
  36. Supplements are just that, they’re there to ‘supplement’ your diet. You need to eat
  37. food, good food. If you live on supplements or rely on them too heavily, you risk
  38. missing out on vital nutrients that you need to grow, and will ultimately hinder your
  39. results dramatically.
  40.
  41. You grow while you’re in the gym
  42. This is another un-truth. While you will ‘pump up’ in the gym, this is simply blood
  43. going to your muscles supplying them with energy. When you leave the gym, these
  44. will go down as you have noticed. All of the actual growing and muscle building occurs
  45. while you are resting and recovering.
  46.
  47. You can turn fat into muscle
  48. Fat cannot convert into muscle. This cannot biologically happen. Fat needs to be
  49. burned off and used, and muscle needs to be built – it is two separate processes
