  30. Following the end of Second Wave, the former director of Project Warmonger, Jiro Ifukube, submitted his new designs for the next generation of humanoid protection mechs. One was the Colossus, a replacement for the Warmonger that would be able to function without requiring a Human volunteer to be integrated into the NSDEE core. The other was the Mobile Titan, a smaller but extremely agile unit designed to replace standard military personnel in both Human and P.E.M.F. conflicts.
  31.
  32. There were two distinct variations of the Mobile Titan highlighted: a completely artificially-driven version, and another that would house a single Human pilot.
  33.
  34. Of the two, only the Human-piloted variant had managed to make it into prototype testing due to the ability to extract non-standard DE energy directly from Humans; this technology was derived from the research conducted by Dr. Anna Maximoff.
  35.
  36. The basic principle behind the Mobile Titan is twofold. Its primary purpose is to eventually phase out contemporary military forces for the individually superior combat units, both Human-piloted and artificially-driven. The usage of NSDEE would allow the units to have nearly unlimited energy to power the armor and various movement and weapon systems. Such superiority would also eventually phase out contemporary military vehicles, due to the Mobile Titans being able to perform almost all of their combined roles individually.
  37.
  38. The Mobile Titan's secondary purpose is with regards to P.E.M.F. combat. Traditionally, P.E.M.F.s attacks have been handled one way: military forces distract the creatures with overwhelming fire from a single direction to divert their attention away from civilians being evacuated and eventually bring in either Warmongers or nuclear force. But with the theoretical possibilities of the Mobile Titan, combat against P.E.M.F.s will no longer be so one-sided.
  39.
  40. Their usage of NSDEE allows them to inflict very minor damage, but it's noticeable enough that, with time, they could potentially bring down a P.E.M.F. Additionally, the increased movement options of the units allows them to easily outmaneuver and confuse giant targets, climbing their enormous bodies to exploit possible vulnerable areas and further distract the creatures from evacuations being conducted.
  41.
  42. The Mobile Titan is looking to be a very promising project, with the first full active duty units slated to deploy as early as January in 2152 next year.
