- You might be asking, "What's changed since XV1?" Well Anon, the TL;DR of it is; Everything. Everything that ACTUALLY MATTERS has changed. Here's a list of just about all the things they've fixed since the first game.
- Also, you can transfer your character from XV1 to XV2 as an NPC who will use their currently equipped moveset and clothing, and will also have a large impact on the story.
- Transferred moves can be used on your XV2 character, but you CANNOT transfer any transformations, OR any of Bardock/Whis' moves from XV1.
- COMBAT CHANGES
- Hitboxes were majorly improved, which fixed combos.
- Light Attack does an automatic dash towards the opponent, if you're out of range
- You can see your opponent's Ki and Stamina in PVP
- Stamina Break, which is a slow punch that robs the target of their stamina and is used to setup big combos.
- Homing dash like in BT3 and RB
- Reverse homing dash, which puts you behind your opponent and has Guardbreak properties
- Forward dash speed increased to catch drifters and runners
- Step Vanishing reworked to be used in any direction, and is also FAST.
- Attacking people on the ground, with a bigger window for OTG (off the ground) combos
- Command knockback attack (Heavy+Ki) into dash followup doesn't consume stamina anymore
- Teleporting followup out of knockback attacks from strings, dash heavy or super attacks consume 1 bar of stamina instead of 2
- Can vanish out of juggle combos
- Can actually mix up strings
- There is also a PVP mode that equalizes all levels to 50, and also removes items and stats.
- TRANSFORMATIONS
- SUPER SAIYAN SPAM IS GONE. IT'S A FLAT BUFF TO POWER NOW THAT NO LONGER CONSUMES KI, OR GRANTS INFINITE KI USE.
- Transformations use their own awakening slot instead of a super/ultimate slot now
- All races have unique transformations
- Super Saiyan give you 1, 2 and 3, Super Vegeta give you 1 and 2 and Future Super Saiyan gives you 1
- Can transform through 1 till 3 depending on Super Saiyan skill equipped
- Namekians get Giant Namek
- Freezypops get Gold Frieza
- Humans get the Nimbus and Power Pole
- Majins get Kid Buu (Yes, JUST Kid Buu. It's pretty shit, it's not even customized outside of color. It has Sonic Spindash and an invincible taunt block with some recovery frames though)
- OVERALL CHANGES
- New Hubworld (Conton City) that's three times larger than Toki Toki with no loading screens in the main hub.
- Flight and hoverboards are enabled in Conton City to quickly get around.
- Flight provides better for vertical movement, while hoverboards are faster for horizontal.
- After completing a PQ or PVP, you are teleported back in front of their respective building. No more walking.
- A fairly robust Training Mode was added.
- You're able to preview costumes before you buy them.
- THERE IS AN ITEM THAT ALTERS STATS ON CLOTHING, ALLOWING YOU TO WEAR WHATEVER YOU WANT.
- You can set your own time in PVP if 3 minutes is too short for you.
- Mentors are no longer dictated by RNG. They're placed in specific areas in Conton City and do not appear to ever leave. You can also find them on your map.
- ULTIMATE FINISH is now guaranteed when the requirements are met, rather than it being based on RNG.
- Teleporters also set up around Conton City that get you around without loading screens.
