  16. Despite their seemingly harmless appearance The Homo Aquaticus are one of the most aggressive creatures found in New-Fasille. Possesing a strictly carnivorous diet, they will hunt nearly any organism. The species has often been observed to result to cannibalism in times of food scarcity. In order to hunt the species utilizes their ethereal appearance and melodic human like cries they will lure their prey into the water. Once the prey is lured mermaids will utilize razor sharp teeth, and jaws capable of unhinging in order to rip large chunks of meat off of its prey.
