  1. All it takes to get out of the city is a simple flash of your Artillery Badge at any of the checkpoints out. Huh. It seem so easy in retrospect. The soldiers nod and let you go with a thanks for your service. It's weird, sort of.
  2.
  3. Red Blade Isle can be broken into two parts. The Northern Jungle, also known as The Pygmy Wilds is where you came from initially. It is a much tamer place than most the isles, as it was one of the stomping grounds, along with the marshes of Ivyhollow, for Explorers from way back when. It was quelled, tamed, and is now THE stomping ground for new explorers and soldiers. The species here are much more 'common', so to say. What you saw previously was a good representation of it. Maps here are very well documented, and it's not difficult at all to find a river to hunt around at if you wished. Torchics are by far the most dominant species up here besides the apes, as this was where the Firefoot Tribe originally called home.
  4.
  5. The Southern half of the isles is much more mountainous and forested than the jungles of the north. It's referred to as The Queenwood. This part is...well, much riskier to venture in. It isn't as well documented as the Northern Half and still has some mysteries tucked away here. There once were mines here, long abandoned. It was the original home of The Thundercry Tribe, and it's said in the land here is where Queen Alieen first encountered Shango. You are free to venture here, but the guards warn you might not want to go too deep without the other two. The parts closer to town are mostly cliffs and crags, though one of the soldiers thinks he saw a waterfall out there once. I mean water does flow south right?

  7. NEW HOT SHIT:
  8. -------------
  9.
  10. Chase on the other hand sticks a bit closer to the city and explores the cliffsides in a bit more detail!
  11.
  12. The paths here are very well marked and many roped off for safety. You imagine these paths get a good bit of use, and for a bit all you see is some angry Geodudes and Roggenrolas tossing shit around. A bit down the path you see a Meditite trying to meditate as a Darumaka tries to get its attention and distract it. The Meditite seems to be used to this and ignores it pretty well. You also see an Aron plopping back up plants that the angry rocks have knocked over and replanting them.
  13.
  14. OLD BUSTED SHIT:
  15. --------------
  16.
  17.
  18. So you two make your way out of the southern gate to the city and find yourselves overlooking an expansive, mountainous and forested terrain, and in the far distance, beaches. Man, the city was THIS high up? You start down the trail, which starts paved but eventually gravel, until it's just dirt and the worn ground of travlers past. The trail winds a bit through the mountains without much activity until a group of Geodudes on a cliff above start to hurl rocks down at you. You narrowly escape that one, but note there's another way around for later. Before too long you come across the waterfall's basin, Saryx gets his fishin' on as Rosetta starts to hunt around for birds.
  19.
  20. Saryx finds this lake isn't really much of one for fish either. He first brings up a Lotad that seems rather pissed about the whole affair and punches him in the gut before bounding back into the water. After a bit more he pulls up a Mudkip that's actually pretty playful! Seems those two are the big families in this basin, though the river does run deeper into the forest. You also notice a Croagunk lazing away under the waterfall, huh.
  21.
  22. Rosetta's bird hunt is unfruitful at first. A Gligar does come from the underbrush to look what's up but loses interest when it notices two humans and some dumb seeds. Though after a bit she notices a Hoothoot hiding away in a tree near the water's edge. It seems to be sleeping at the moment. As she tries to toss some food at it unsuccessfully to rouse it, she hears a call from the top of the waterfall. There's what looks like a baby Skarmory up there peering down at you!
  23.
  24.
  25. -------------
  26. Rosetta takes a moment to give Saryx a weird look as he starts his game of tag, then slowly pulls on her climbing gloves. Half-watching the Skarm babby and the sleeping Hoothoot at the same time to make sure they go don't anywhere, she takes a minute to stretch before circling the base of the cliffs near the waterfall. After finding what she thinks is the best route up the cliff, she fishes out an oran berry from her pack and holds it up in the air, in clear view of the Skarm babby, then puts it back in her pocket and starts to scale the cliffs with a combination of climbing, acrobatics and teleportation. Once atop, she takes a brief look around to make sure she's not gonna be assaulted by a mommy Skarm, then approaches the babby, berry held out.
  27.
  28. Maaan, this Mudkip is fucking adorable~ Saryx is totally going to take it home :D But first... “So, you wanna play, hunh?!?” While the Mudkip’s bouncing around him, Saryx mulls over an idea for a moment. After the lightbulb goes off over his head, he bends down before the Mudkip such that he’s squatting with his hands resting upon his kneecaps, leans in juuust a little, aaand... “Tag! You’re it!” He gently pokes the Mudkip in its squishy forehead, then books it backwards and away! “Catch me if you ca-aaan~” he cries out to the Mudkip as he backsteps away from it, waving over for it to follow him! Game on, Mudkip! Game the fuck on!
  29.
  30. -------------
  31. The Skarmbabby seems to be all alone. From this vantage it looks like it was watching the lake below for easy prey. Though as you approach with the berry it flutters over then hops around to try to nom at it! Seems it'd prefer the easier meal than the hunt and isn't particularly picky. It coos after you give it the berry and pecks at it as it snuggles against your leg. The hoothoot is just...well, sleeping. It probably wouldn't even notice if you Poke'ball'd it.
  32.
  33. The Mudkip bolts after you a bit faster than you imagined it would and tackles into you after pouncing around in the mud some! It's runs a couple circles around you in victory as you wipe the mud off your cloths the best you can, then runs off and hides behind a rock, peeking out every now and then.
