  57. Bio: Fajra Mihaelo was born and raised in Relin, the daughter of the local blacksmith and his second wife. She grew up with two older brothers, which undoubtedly contributed to her unladylike childhood. She spent more of her time running around with the village children, fighting imaginary monsters, and playing with fire than learning how to sew or cook. Her dream was to become a great magician when she grew up, flinging spells left and right and smiting her enemies with impunity. Unfortunately her parents could not afford such an education for her. However they recognized her intellect and drive and decided that she should have a better life than some farmer's wife. As such, when she was old enough, they sent Fajra to the local convent to gain some form of an education in magic.
  58.
  59. Fajra was never interested in religion, preferring the realities of fire and sword to the mysticism of Trihosm or Uytinity. However she was an eager learner, happy to help wherever she could, and eventually proved quite competent with healing magic. Given the number of poor and sick that overwhelmed the convent, especially whenever famine threatened, the nuns were happy to have the extra help despite her irreligiousness. As Fajra grew up and turned into a woman, she eventually realized that boys had more to offer her than she had previously thought. One boy in particular caught her eye, down in the nearby village. His name was Vilcjo and he was the son of a priest, a role that meant he was a frequent visitor to the convent to assist the nuns. Fajra soon found out that her feelings were mutual, much to her delight.

  61. Fajra and Vilcjo's relationship was the kind that only you can only find with young love. The two were almost inseparable, always finding flimsy excuses to ride off and be alone with each other. They spent their time talking, showing affection and occasionally performing the work they had set out to do. Since both possessed a pseudo-intellectual bent, they made every effort they could to wow the other with their reasoning, learning and wisdom. Among the many faulty conclusions they developed and tested, the pair of them decided that man and monster should be able to live in harmony and peace, despite never having seen or talked to a monster in their entire lives.
  62.
  63. Such views were repeated a little too loudly and frequently by Vilcjo, while Fajra had the sense to keep her mouth shut. One day, when the countryside was suffering from one of Relin's infamous monster hunts, Vilcjo was picked up as a monster sympathizer and never seen again. While his ultimate fate was unknown, Fajra knew in the depths of her heart that he was as good as dead for his views. The nuns of the convent could do nothing to help with her grief and turning to religion simply made her heart ache all the harder. Eventually she decided that sitting around and moping would do no good, both for herself and the world around her. Instead she would go out and try and fight for monster equality, as her vanished boyfriend would have wanted. As such, she slipped out unseen of the convent one night, riding out to find some hint of a pro-monster resistance and assist them however she could.
